Sept 2003 Lovely site. Toilet block looked new and was very clean and warm. Kiddies play area looked good.
We thought it was overpriced (£12) for the time of year (late Sept)
The river Ribble which runs through a lower field is beautiful, but a word of warning it can be very dangerous. The water is deep and someone was killed there last year. We were talking to a local and he said he had lost count of the number of people who got into trouble there. There are no warning signs.

Sept 03 We loved this site. Owners very friendly. Toilets and free showers were very clean. Plenty of room between tents and for the kids to play. Relaxing hidden away site. Going back next month ;-)

25th-1st august 2003 This is the best place I've ever been to. Its full of room for your tent (two fields) there's a river to play in with waterfall and I advise if 10 or under then to be supervised by an adult. There is a shower and laundery apartment with shop and tv and games room. It's full of lovely children which love the newly built play area.
It's also full of love if your on the pull, it worked for me!!

June 2003 I am not sure I should be telling you this but .... This is a FAB campsite!!! There is (usually) lots of room to pitch your tent, the views are lovely and the people are great. This is one of my favourite places in the whole world and I hope to be going back soon.

September 2001 and previous years It is a lovely site with the river running through at the bottom and a lovely village with a good pub serving good homemade food in walkable distance. The only drawbacks are the long single track road to get to the site and the site per night is a bit pricey for what is a clean but quite basic site.

2000 A pleasant grassy site adjacent to the River Ribble. Suitable for caravans motor home and campers and backpackers. Small shop on site, some hard standings and some electric hook up.
Toilet and showers are in old farm buildings but are OK and kept clean, ample hot water for dishwashing and showers.
Take a walk into Settle along the riverbank it will take less than an hour even if you dawdle.
