We stayed over the Easter weekend. This was our first outing with our new to us caravan. We were nervous over the 2 mile single track road to the site. Was also rather muddy. The site itself is large. We had a hard standing pitch which was large and came with electric and water. The toilet block was clean and warm. It even came with music while you have a shower. There is a small playground for children. The site is very peaceful, surrounded by hills. Settle is about 5min away and has a lovely fish and chip shop. We went to visit White Scar Caves, Skipton Castle all are within easy reach.

I would recommend this site and would probably go back even with the single track road.

This was one of the highlights of our recent tour of the North of England. The site is set in the most impressive scenery, with fells and hills nearby, great walks and the most picturesque river bridge imaginable only a hundred metres from the camp. The facilities are excellent - modern, clean and tidy, and the staff extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The approach roads are quite narrow but with plenty of places to pass. Two nights certainly was not long enough to do justice to this little gem!

This campsite is really good facilities are modern and clean with every thing you could wish for the owners were really helpful we had forgotton the poles that hold the tent flap up even though they had none to sell in the well stocked shop they lent us some of there own the part of the site we camped on was slightly sloping but wasn't a problem and on further investigation there was some flat areas at the bottom of the top field. The site is 2 miles from settle but it didn't break the bank to get a taxi there and back so every one could have a drink and the pub at helwith bridge does good real ales and a cracking sunday lunch. Stainforth force is 2 minuites down a quiet lane where you can watch salmon leaping the waterfall at the right time of the year we were about a month early at the start of september but we did see one. All in all I would recommend this site to any 1 from couples like us and families with kids as well. The site will be even better next year as they are in the middle of building a cafe and resturant cant wait to go back.

Despite the rain, we decided to go camping. So glad we did. This site is great, especially for families. The location is idyllic. We had a tent pitch with electric. It was a large pitch with enough room for two tents (daughter wanted to be alone!) and a large car. It was fairly busy on the site. The washing up room felt a bit frantic and loud. There are only 4 sinks and a queue formed. The piped music added to the noise levels.

We walked the dog along the river which is beautiful. I would definitely recommend the site. We did experience some noise after the curfew, but it didn't bother us.

Overall we enjoyed our stay on this site. It's well maintained and it is in a nice setting. Ample facilities. Pub within walking distance (Craven Heifer) Basic shop on the site.

Beautiful river at the bottom of the site that the kids enjoyed swimming in.

One or two negatives though. On the top camping field there were quite a few selfish idiots with loud music blaring out and no one did anything to stop them. There was also music at a loud level being pumped through a tannoy in the toilet. Why?

Final gripe was that we had some student types sat outside their caravan drinking wine and chatting till the early hours. They were not overly loud but trying to block the noise out through canvas is impossible. Again, nothing was done to stop them.

We visited this site at the end of May with our son and grandsons who were staying in a tent.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. The pitches were quite large and facilities were close by. Nice and quiet on an evening. The toilets and shower blocks were clean and well maintained and included in the rate, (£68 for 3 nights.

There is a pub which is a pleasant 20 minute walk away across the other side of the nearby river Ribble.

The WiFi was free but a bit touch and go, as was the TV reception.

Malham Cove, Gordale Scar and many other areas of interest are close by. Settle is a 10 minute drive away.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if in the area.

Had a fabulous May bank holiday here with friends and kids. 17 if us in total.

Facilities were clean and the park felt very safe.

Plots were large enough for the caravan an awning and the car and shrill has some left over.

We parked down as number 41 and some friends were in tents on the field opposite so we were nice and close!

It was lovely and quiet after 11pm and everyone was friendly and considerate.

Brilliant place.

Upon arrival there was someone in our allocated space but the friendly owners quickly sorted this out and reallocated us a space. There is just one amenity block for the whole site so it can have a feeling of being very busy around the entrance with people coming and going but that said I never had to queue for toilets or showers. There is a local pub within 20-30mins walking distance but at time of visiting it was shut indefinitely which was a shame. The walk along the river is nice and there are lovely views from the campsite. Some pitches I thought looked to be a little far from the amenity block, but we were in the camping field so only a short walk. Nice family friendly atmosphere to the site with not too much noise after dark fell.

We have stayed at this site a few times as we like it so much its usually the first place we try to book!

The site is friendly and in a fabulous riverside location. When the weather is good its great to just sit by the river at the edge of the site watching the world go by. The pitches are large and well marked, there is also a rally field which has limited electric hook up if you have a very large tent. The playground facilities are good and there is plenty of space for the children to play ball games and ride their bikes and scooters. The block facilities need a magnetic pass key to get in so they are secure. The showers are free with plenty of hot water. There are also curtained areas within the toilet block which means you can have a wash and clean your teeth away from the watch of other people - which is great for my children who can be a bit self conscious.

There are plenty of washing up facilities which are inside so it doesn't matter if its raining! I've also used the laundry facilities which are good. A small shop is on site - it doesn't sell a lot but has the basics.

There aren't really any pubs or much public transport within walking distance which means you have to take the car if you want to eat out but that doesn't bother us at all.

There is plenty to do in the area no matter your taste which is one of the reasons we use it a lot. Stately homes and gardens, museums, market towns and plenty of fantastic walks including the three peaks all within easy reach of the site.

This site is located in absolutely outstanding countryside. You can embark on short, long, easy or arduous walks straight from the site or just relax outside your van, or down by the river. The facilities are comprehensive and well kept, we were there over a very busy bank holiday period and the showers and toilets were very heavily used; on occasions they were a little in need of a tidy up but overall standards were satisfactory. The owners were helpful and friendly and the little on site shop has a limited but interesting stock of good local produce. Access to the site is two miles along a country lane which is a little narrow at times so care is needed. There is limited TV and mobile phone coverage, however the site offers a competitively priced Wi Fi facility. Although we were just two adults there were a number of children on site and they seemed to enjoy the facilities available. For us this site, although not the most easily accessible, is the most picturesque with stunning scenery.
