Wow, I have never stayed on a site with such good customer service. We arrived at about 3pm on a Saturday, and there was a new arrivals sign up, that led you to a field, where we were met by a young man who directed us to a reception area.
Check in was quick, and the girl gave very precise directions to our pitch, she also showed me where the 24 hour phone number was in the booklet, in case of any problems at any time.
I had booked a full serviced super pitch, we got pitch number 9. Now we couldn't hook up our water or waste, as you need about 10-12 metres of piping and we didn't have enough, the pitch next door only needed about 5 metres as the service bollard isn't in the middle. This is because you have to pitch caravan, awning, car. The awning pads are a gravel topped area, would have preferred grass, this stuff gets bought into the caravan constantly.
The toilet and shower blocks are kept very clean, which is no mean feat with the amount of people using them. My only big gripe is that the showers do not have a curtain or door between the changing area and the actual shower, the shower heads are also fixed and you have to have everything in in a bag, hung up on the side coat hook, to stop it getting soaking wet.
Although this is a busy site, everyone respected the 10pm noise curfew. There is a field that kids can play football etc, but most liked to play round the caravans, which is not good as there is very little spare space, and resulted in a ball hitting our van twice, and also going underneath a lot of times.
The best thing is you can walk into Newquay, it took us 35 minutes, there is one steep climb towards the end, it is also has a Morrisons supermarket, that you can walk to in 15 minutes, as well as a Lidl in walking distance.

Initial enquiries about the site indicated it was 'gently sloping', on that basis went ahead and booked the largest available touring pitch.
On arriving on the site booking in was simple, a detailed plan of the site was given and booked pitch marked. The pitch was large but gently sloping it wasnt, one end of the outfit was on the ground the other high off the ground which made the pitching of an awning difficult to say the least, another drawback was that the pitch was under some rather large trees which shaded most of the area!
That's the negatives over, the toilet block was immaculate and was being continually cleaned from early morning to around tea time. The facilities were as described, nice and clean and no 'Rip
Off' in the club. The shop and take away outlets were good and good value.
I filled a questionnaire suggesting that the brochure be more descriptive noting tree covered areas and mentioning that the site isn't gently scooping.
Overall a very good holiday, if I go again would be more selective with the pitch requested.

We stayed at this site on Friday eve 1st May 2015, and herewith give our feedback on our experience.
Hospitality
Without a doubt 10 out of 10, on arrival we ‘were greeted’ with a smile, and the friendly character of the two staff members on reception, who was able to book us in, give details of our stay, and willing to answer any questions we had.
Facilities
9 out of 10, In my opinion could do with sign on bollard at end of toilet block, stating toilet block. It was confusing to me with it been our first time, where the toilet block was as the toilet block was secluded behind bushes, hedge. Although there is site map included in information given out at reception, when you are new to a place it can be confusing to figure out where you are on site, to the location of facilities until you get your bearings, and settled in. When you have been driving a long time and you need to go, all information helps.
There were stones on road outside Oasis, and stones on tarmac in car park area near Oasis. Although these are minor issues, considering there are at times wardens driving around site; it’s a bit lacking that none of them stopped to sweep the stones away. We arrived at 9 am on the Friday, and the stones were still there when we departed Saturday morning.
Only one hand dryer in both male, and female toilet block which we used. Considering the size of the site and the amount of urinals and cubicles, we both thought three driers would be more useful, especially during busier times.
Pricing
10 out of 10, we found the pricing excellent for what the site offers.
Cleanliness
9 out of 10, No rubbish seen anywhere, deducted one point for the stones as mentioned above.
Would we stay again?
Definitely yes, when we next down in Newquay area.

What a lovelly site, we were impressed how tidy and clean the site was kept especially as it is huge. All the staff are extremely friendly and always willing to help.
As previous review we were also in orchard and glad too. Alot less road noise and we enjoy walking to the main area. We were surprised how the site quietened down in the evenings.
The toilet block was constantly checked and cleaned through out the day.
The buses run from stop at entrance into Newquay every hour and only costs £6. 60 return for 2adults and 2children bargain!
We really enjoyed our stay here, plenty to do but also peaceful to sit and chill-especially on our field.

Booked quite late for this one, less than a month before a trip in early August.
Got a phone call straight away stating that our Vango Diablo could be accommodated but the only place was down in the orchard field & that the showers/ toilets were not permanent buildings & was that ok ?
Fine by us.
Booking in was a breeze, two very polite & friendly you ladies had everything ready & prepared. On finding our pitch another member of staff popped up with advice on where to pitch & park, again helpful & friendly.
To be honest it was great being that little bit further away from the main hub of things but even then it was little over a five minute walk & well off the main road, avoiding all the noise that than can cause.
The facilities are top notch & for once the sun did shine allowing us to take advantage of the outdoor pool as well as the indoor complex, which is just sheer fun.
I really shouldn't enjoy the water sides so much at nearly 50.
We go down each year to Newquay to visit relatives & to be honest we have tried other sites but always end up comparing them to Hendra.
Simply on the facilities provided & the friendliness & work ethic of the staff I doubt very much we'll book anywhere different again.
Thank you Hendra & especially thank you to your staff, we had a great time.

Good site with good facilities; need tickets at extra cost for the pool and there are lots of extra cost activities on offer.
We're not into clubbing and so on so it wasn't really our cup of tea but it was relatively peaceful away from the main centre and all the facilities and site were well kept; only blot on the landscape was the chemical toilet disposal which was a bit unpleasant; oh and the constant radio playing in the toilets.

Very large, very well run site - despite it being fully booked Easter bank holiday weekend.
Very Clean in all areas - good toilets, showers and other facilities.
Well stocked shop.
Bit of noise from club - but this finished at a reasonable time.
Bus into Newquay at site entrance - £3. 30 single return this weekend.
Rally weekend - excellent.

We don't tend to use larger sites and prefer to travel with our tourer, but given that it's Oct we took advantage of a cheap Daily Mail offer and booked half term here.
The caravan was beautiful, very clean and almost brand new. It was fully heated and we were glad of that. We did pay slightly extra to upgrade to Cherry Field though.
The site is proud of it's green credentials, it seems to generate a lot of it's own energy from solar panels and a biomass boiler.
We didn't use the evening entertainment (prefer fishing!) but the Tavern 'pub' had a nice outside seating area so we had a few drinks there on the milder evenings.
We never saw or heard any rowdy behaviour, but it is October!
There is plenty to do in the vicinity and there seems to be plenty for kids to do on the actual site. Ours loved the fun pool and the skate park.
We would return.

Just arrived back from a 10 night stay in our touring caravan.
I have to say that the site didn't live up my expectations given all the fantastic reviews I had read.
We were allocated a pitch in the middle of the 'Holly' area which is very near to the busy main road - but the noise was bearable. I can only imagine how bad it must have been for the tents that were pitched just a few yards from the road!
There is a big problem with people cutting through pitches to get to the toilets/showers - this is caused by there being no real barrier between the top rows of pitches and the middle rows.
The toilets are kept spotlessly clean by the hard-working cleaners.
The showers are also clean but very poorly designed - they are fixed and it is virtually impossible to keep towels & clothes dry because of the very narrow divider between changing & shower area.
The clubhouse is woefully inadequate for the size of the site with way too many tables & chairs crammed in. Drinks are expensive and the children's entertainment is among the worst I've seen.
We found that purchasing our own drinks (from the nearby Morrisons) and sitting out near the pizza bar & fish & chip shop(where they have live music) was the best option.
The site shop was good and not too expensive.
All the staff that we met were very pleasant and hard-working.
I think we will try other places around Newquay before coming back here again.
