This is a fabulous site ! We live nearby and came to rest our new caravan before touring further afield. We stayed 2 nights and went to the Down Arms for dinner which is a few minutes walk away down a track or along the road. The site is clean and very well spaced out. The staff are lovely and very helpful. There is a superb cafe on site for breakfast, lunch and early evening meals, which you can eat in or take away. The toilets and showers are clean and good quality. There are pitches for adults only which we appreciated for some peace and quiet. Although we don’t live far away, we will stay again.
The area is perfect for exploring this part of North Yorkshire, the village is short driving distance to Whitby, Scarborough, Pickering and good to explore the North York’s Moors and local villages, forests etc.

1 week stay on fully serviced site caravan. Large pitches on a well laid out and kept site. The staff were beyond friendly and helpful; the best we've met! Despite there being very many caravans the site was notably peaceful and quiet; very relaxing. Good clean facilities just needing attention to the entry door to the gents near reception.
Thoroughly recommended. We had a great stay.

Visited this site with my husband in June. Situated just off main road to Scarborough but could not hear the traffic at all on our pitch. The on site cafe is a lovely addition, the lady even delivered our breakfast to our caravan as we were situated just opposite. Although probably wouldn't pitch in that spot again as it was the exit to the park and had a lot of passing traffic. Hard standing pitches were well maintained along with roads. There is also a lovely pub a 10 min walk which serves lovely pub food. Overall a pleasant stay

Just spent 4 nights May day bank holiday at St Helens Caravan Park.
The site was recommended to us and what can I say a fantastic site very peaceful and well looked after. The toilets and shower facilities where kept immaculately clean and tidy with piped music in the main block. The pitch sizes where large so we didn't feel cramped up. We were blessed with good weather the whole time we were there. The staff on site were helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. We visited the local pub one night the Devone Arms just a 5 minute walk from the site, a lovely pub with lots of choice drinks wise and a restaurant as well as bar meals.
Overall a fantastic site in great surroundings we will definitely be visiting again.

Just returned from 3 nights on a super pitch overlooking the play area! Another fantastic holiday here - it is our 3rd time staying here. Lovely quiet site. Play area is fab for the children. This site is in my children's top 3 (and we travel the country in the summer months!). Play area is easily visible from super pitches so we can sit outside and relax - and supervise the children at the same time. Everyone is happy! Toilets ok but could do with piped music. Dishwashing facilities ok. Cafe on site for breakfast - nice and reasonably priced. Pitches are large and spacious. Well kept site. Pitch could do with more gravel to level it a bit more - we couldn't get level at all! Downs Arm pub restaurant next door is a must! Early bird menu on Mon and Wed until 7. 30 is good value as it is a little pricey otherwise. Site is easy to find. Bus stop outside site but we tend to use the park and ride. Bus is £15 return compared to £4. 70 on the P&R. Overall - a brilliant site and would highly recommend. Definitely will be back next year!

This site was recommended to us by a friend, We usually avoid large sites but as this had come recommended and the reviews were so good we decided to give it a go. We had a super pitch in the adult only section and although this is a large sites, it certainly didn't feel it. Our pitch was a very spacious and peaceful. The facilities were plentiful and spotless. We had our two dogs with us who appreciated the fantastic dog walk provided for them. There was a lovely cafe on site, we had breakfast there which was really nice. There's a nice pub within walking distance which is dog friendly, we ate there one night and enjoyed it.
All in all this is a really lovely, friendly site which we will hopefully be returning to.

Just spent eight nights at the site with our touring van and thoroughly enjoyed it.
We were blessed with some nice weather which always helps.
Having only booked the pitch a less than week before we were happy with the booking procedure, leaving a £40 deposit and the rest on arrival. Staff were very friendly and asked if we needed any help to get onto out pitch.
We had a Super pitch which we found to be very spacious and clean. The toilet blocks are conveniently placed around the park. They are cleaned daily and are well heated and kept exceptional. There is plenty of hot water and the shower pressure is good.
There is a small shop and café which was ample for the size of the park.
There is a great dog walk near to the entrance, which is near to the Donkeys and Alpaca’s.
Although we did not use it there is a really good children's play area.
Access off the A170 is really easy, overall this is a really pleasant site, well positioned for visiting the surrounding area and We would highly recommend

Spent 15 nights here from the 1st of August on a superpitch in the adult only area the weather was superb for the whole 2 weeks which probably helped but in our opinion this is one of the best sites in the area
The pitches were large and you had plenty of space
The toilets were always kept clean and plenty hot water in the free showers
All in all a great place to spend some time and we enjoyed it so much we have just booked another 8 nights in October and we cant wait.

Fantastic, immaculate site. There is even piped music in the toilets! Choose whether you want to be on the 'adult only' part of the site when you book. The site has a lovely cafe which is open most of the time. Also, if you walk through the camping field, you will reach a gorgeous, dog friendly pub - Downe Arms Hotel. Here you can enjoy a lovely meal and very often on a Friday, they have live music. We only started touring last year and so far have been to 7 sites. This is by far our favourite and we will definitely be visiting again. The site is approx. 5 miles west of Scarborough, so great for visiting Filey, Scarborough and Whitby. If you can venture a bit further try Saltburn by the Sea.
