Nice peaceful adults only site.
Warden Ros really friendly and helpful.
Access to river a bit awkward for kayak but worth it as you can paddle for miles.
Nice cider farm nearby with lovely restaurant and farm shop.
Access is better by taking the first turning off J22 of M5.

Very scruffy site weeds in the pitches exposed wiring in the ladies above showers. Notice up about using facilities at own risk because of covid but did not realise we would be sharing with about 150 wedding guests from the field.
Stayed 1 night as a restful stopover in way to Looe in Cornwall. Loud music from wedding on site until 12. 45 in the morning so a very poor nights sleep.
The site gives an overall appearance of not been looked after. And would definitely not recommend

Sad to leave after 8 years being a seasonal on this site, unfortunately the standard of cleaning in the toilet block is extremely poor.
Entering the toilet block you will see a cardboard torn sign asking you to brush and flush.
In winter you will see that the thermostatic radiator valve is taped to the lowest setting.
This coupled with the substantial increase in prices for 2023 seasonal, coupled with electric meter payments make this site of little value
There is no Wi-Fi, free or paid
There is no laundrette
You cannot use mains water to wash your car or caravan
You are expected to pay for your showers min 20p
You are expected to weed your own pitch
Touring pitches have even been downgraded to 10amps
There has been no investment in this site in the 8 years we were there.
You will even see the wardens caravan, with Tesco Carrier bags keeping the water out.
How sad to see this once good site deteriorate to such a low level.

This site is so lovely and peaceful, adult only is what we want, and this site is exactly what we want.
Stayed here lots of times over the last 20 odd years.
Tim, the owner is a very helpful guy. The only thing missing is his dog "bosun" sadly passed.

A great little site, everything was clean,
Staff were friendly and helpful and plot was a good size.
Was close to the coast but far enough away from town for peace and quiet.

Nice pitches, clean and functional facilities and friendly staff.
Easy to find and entry and exit easy.
Quiet and relaxing but almost empty when we stayed.
Good location for a stopover.

What a gem of a site, next to the River Brue stayed on here for 7 nights with our trailer tent and was given a riverside plot.
The owner Tim and Ros, the site warden, were very friendly and showed us to our plot on arrival.
Toilet and shower blocks were great, even though they weren't all open due to covid restrictions.
Plenty of hot water and always clean. Even has a gym on site which everyone can use. Great for touring around the area, Burnham on Sea, Rich's Cider Farm being close to hand as well as supermarkets close by.
Riverside walk with a pub 10 mins away, fishing on site, lovely to sit by the river and watch the wildlife.
Very friendly site. Loved it so much we are going back in 2022.
