What a lovely site! We came here because we just wanted a holiday on a site that wasn't to far from home. In the village (Aston Cantlow) was a nice place with a play area for children and a nice country pub.
The site is a good base for Henley-in-Arden and Stratford-upon-Avon.
Both of the town are nice, there is wonderful Ice-cream shop in Henley-in-Arden and you can get boat ride up the Avon from Stratford.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed and will definetley return in the future.

We were looking for a nice peaceful site not too far away from Birmingham NEC so that my husband and son could visit the Gadget Show and this was spot on.
We hired a caravan and I am always apprehensive about rented property as I have pretty high standards of cleanliness and usually end up cleaning everything first before using it.
This time I got right down to enjoying my holiday from the start. It was a brand new van from the look of it, and spotlessly clean with plenty of cleaning equipment to use during your stay to help keep it that way.
Adapted for disabled access so had loads of open space which unfortunately meant that it lacked storage space, however that wasn't too much of a problem for us as we were only staying for 5 nights but it would have irritated me if we had been staying longer as I like to keep everything tidy and not have things lying around. The only thing I think was lacking was an iron and ironing board but I dare say that, if I had asked, one would have been provided quickly.
The site is not far from Stratford which is lovely for a day out mooching about. Warwick Castle is also very close (but expensive). If you like cycling, you will love this area, it seemed to have cyclists everywhere.
Our children (7 and 10) loved the ducks but would have liked a bit more of a play area (hence dropped mark on site facilities) although we entertained ourselves with other games. The bit of a play area is away from the main caravan area so you cant really keep an eye on little ones.It is right beside the well stocked and reasonably priced shop which has someone in it most of the time.
There is a large park which will keep any child entertained for a good while in the village. I cant comment on the toilet block facilities as we didn't need to use them.
A visit to the club in the village is a must, the villagers are very welcoming, even though my hubby picked the favourite in their Grand National sweepstake. I would like to thank the people who handed my sons phone in to the pub when he lost it in the park but unfortunately they didn't leave a number - he would have lost that for sure at some places.
Finally, Katherine is such a lovely, friendly and helpful lady. She answered all of my questions that I had before arrival and was so welcoming when we got there. She personally showed us to our caravan and helped us with a menu for a Chinese takeaway that delivered for the first night of our stay.
I would thoroughly recommend staying here and hopefully will be back in the future, we totally enjoyed our break and the tranquillity of the site.

What a gorgeous site, we loved it, having recently stayed for two nights. Katherine, the owner was extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her to the point where we asked her if she sold salad (which she didn't) and she gave us some salad out of her own fridge!
The site feels cosy as it is surrounded by trees and is well laid out with generous pitches. The toilet and shower facilities were more than adequate and were kept very clean. There was a freezer on site for freezer blocks and the shop was small but well stocked and Katherine did say that if there was anything we wanted that she didn't have that she could try and get it for us for the following day.
The local area is beautiful and there are plenty of walks of varying lengths that you can take. We did a wonderful six mile circular walk which included the local canal and river and we also stopped in at the Saxon Church in Wooten Wawen which dates back to 730AD and is well worth a visit.
We would definitely recommend this site to anyone looking for a quiet, friendly and very chilled break.

Just had a 4 night stay at Island Meadow. What a lovely place set on a island between a small river and a stream.
The owner is very friendly showing us to our pitch and telling which way to face the van for a full afternoon of sun which we had for the full 4 days great.
Shop was well stocked with also fresh bread and cakes.
Plenty of good walks which start and finsh from the site. Shower blocks where very clean.
We had a short walk into the village and went to the Kings head pub which was nice but a little expensive we where told that the village club is cheaper.
The site is perfect for travelling into Stratford and Warwick. Would we stay here again yes we wished that we had booked to stay longer.

We have just returned from 5 nights in this park. I must say my husband, son and myself really enjoyed ourselves, the owner of the campsite was very polite and extremely helpful.
We didn't stay long in the tent apart from sleeping because we had a lot of visiting to do, but I must say it met our needs and more.
There isnt a lot at the site apart from a well stocked shop and a little pond if you like fishing but it was enough for us and it was really peaceful of an evening. I know there was a pub for meals but unfortunately we never got a chance to eat in there.
The toilet blocks were clean and there were 2 showers within the ladies toilets and a further 2 around the side for the men. We did not use these but they seemed clean enough.
There is washing facilities and washing machines which again I thought was brilliant. There is a little children's play area but there is only swings, playhouse and a few other things. But my son who is 5 seemed happy enough.
We would definitely recommend this place and would be visiting it again in the future.

Have just spent 9 nights here for our summer holidays. Had a fantastic time. Campsite in lovely setting, very quiet area.
A mixture of static caravans, holiday caravans and tents. Nice open area for the kids to play on. Lovely having the ducks and geese walking about, very tame.
Having the recycling facilities are a good idea, so many campsites don't do this and it's nice to see it here.
Toilets and showers kept clean and although only two male showers we never had to queue.
Katherine the owner very friendly and very helpful.
Small shop stocking a good range of essential products including wine, beer, fresh bread, daily papers if ordered etc and local ice cream to die for.
A great location for all the main visitor attractions in the area.
Very reasonable charges

We have just arrived home from a wonderful week at this campsite. The lady who runs the site could not be more helpful. A great little shop on site too
The very clean showers, of which there are only two, never had to wait
A lovely little walk through the meadow to nice pub and club. We went in the club, nice welcome,
We didn't have children with us but the play ground was great, bikes, go-karts, scooters, all there to play with, how nice is that
Really handy site to visit warwick castle, great day out there. And close to stratford so very well placed

We were made to feel really welcome and laid back.
Nice shop with the sorts of things you'd need. Tea coffee milk, wine & beer. As well as duck eggs.
A small play area for the children. And it is actually on an island!
Statics, tourers campavans and tents.
Electrical hookups - first time my friends used theirs in their tent - I think they'll be getting a fan heater. It was a little cool in the evenings and I lent them mine before taking it home (to my 'van) for the evening.
I was struck by the quietness of it - bliss. No tirade of rules.
Showers and toilets could be a little larger and I guess are a bit cool at times.
Not far from the canal - where I cycled into the centre of Stratford and back.
Nearby there is a pub and a social club. I went to the club on a Saturday lunch time - nice.
Would I go back ? do they do season tickets!
I could almost commute!
A very nice place - not far from anywhere but tucked away a little.

Just had eight nights at Island Meadow and can highly recommend this well run pleasant site. The pitches are spacious and level. The sanitary facilities are clean and well kept.
The owners are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. There is an easy five minute walk to the village of Aston Cantlow which has a pub/restaurant and a social club.
The Stratford upon Avon Park and Ride is approximately 15 minutes drive from the site.
One word of warning some satnavs try to send you over an impassable ford close to the site if approaching from the north.
