We visited this park as a party of four with two motorcycles towing trailers. A very friendly family run site with good clean toilet and shower facilities. We never had to queue. The owners were great with all kinds of info regarding things to do and see. The site is surrounded by the river and therefore there is an abundance of wild life as well as the on-site posse of geese. (great fun) The shop is excellent with fresh bread, cakes and dairy stuff as well as cold beers and cider from the shop fridge. I would recommend Island Meadow without hesitation and will definitely make a return trip soon.

Great site - owners are cracking. The shop sells kids toys, doughnuts and cakes and bread and tons of other stuff. You can order your newspaper too. Facilities fine - small kids play area there too. We found it a useful stopping off point from M40 although down some tiny lanes! Would recommend

Spent two nights here. Nice, quiet site., helpful and pleasant owner. The ducks were great fun and came to our van as soon as the blinds were put up! They chased the children (well they were holding lots of bread!) and amused us all. A good play area approx 10 mins walk away. Toilets and showers were basic and adequate. Stratford a nice town (get the park & ride) and the butterfly farm was extremely good. Recommend this site.

Excellent site - would go here every weekend if we could. Absolutely excellent - owners helpful and friendly - 10 Stars. We were shown to our pitch and wished a lovely break...nothing seemed too much trouble. Idyllic walk to the village from footpath next to the campsite. Surrounded by a river which added to the beauty of the site. Only snag - TV reception poor as there are a lot of tall trees, but who cares with such a lovely campsite to sit and relax in. My only hope is that we can return again soon.

Excellent. Came down for a couple of nights in mid August. Arrived in beautiful weather and set up in the back garden / orchard area of the site. Very friendly welcome from the owners. As site name suggests, surrounded by the river which became the focal point of our visit. As you might expect from a camping trip the rain came. As it fell the river started to rise. Had some nervous moments toward end of second day when flooding looked a distinct possibility. Children had a great time wandering around the site, playing by the river, and exploring the local area. Free range ducks and geese added to the experience. Had a great visit despite the weather, look forward to going back.

9th - 12th August It was a decent site with about an hour walk to the town of Alcester, which had a great pub called the Cross Keys, this had great value food and drink and a pool table. The on site shop sells nice doughnuts and other stuff.

July 2004 This is one of the best sites we've visited. Clean, friendly and a terrific location. We spent a lovely day in Stratford, which is a superb place. Then we went to the local pub, which sells Hook Norton real ale, very nice. It serves meals as well, but you might have to book in advance. The owners of the camp site were very friendly and helpful. We found the ducks funny, but you might not appreciate the noise early in the morning. That's camping! Facilities OK, quite expensive but worth it.

July 2004 Nice surroundings and well stocked shop on site, only 2 showers but luckily I never did have to queue.
I arrived on Friday evening and the toilet, showers were in a disgusting state, they were cleaned on Saturday morning but again grotty by the evening. There is a hairdryer in the ladies but it is quite old and as there are electric sockets in the bathroom it does enable you to take your own which is handy.
A nice enough site but I dont think I would return.

April 2004 Stayed here last week-end in glorious weather, what a lovely site, I could have stayed for a week. so peaceful, lovely walks, local club, cheap beer, owners very nice and helpful, a little shop which sells everything, very clean showers and toilets, ideal for cycling - must take bikes next time. Highly recommend for a nice quiet and peaceful break. We will be going again, although rather expensive at £15 per night but worth every penny.
