We have stayed here on a number of occasions. Lovely setting beside the canal watching the barges.
Facilities clean. Tom was very helpful accommodating us at short notice.
Handy stopover for a night either coming from or going to the docks on way to other places but would equally be a very pleasant base for a few days.
Will definitely be back.

In general, a very nice, well kept site with a friendly and pleasant owner. We felt the value for money was very good.
We arrived around 1830hrs on the Friday evening, and the site was fairly full. We were directed to the last pitch in the overflow field. In all honesty, the pitch was a little disappointing compared to the others on the site, I suppose it was just unfortunate we couldn’t arrive until late.
To the left of our pitch was a storage shed, and to the right was a section of ground that had some broken hardcore within the grass, so we decided not to pitch the porch awning. That said, we where within easy reach of the electric hook up, and water point. I think we where just unlucky with this pitch as all the others had nice views onto the canal, and looked to be on good ground
WC and shower Facility’s are basic, and small, but kept very clean and are very functional.
The one shower on site is located within the female WC and runs nice and warm. The fact the shower is in the female WC did feel a little strange. But didn’t pose an issue, as it didn’t seem many others visitors where using the facility and it’s for one person at a time anyway. Perhaps it would be better to label all of the facilities as unisex so as not to cause confusion?
The nearby horse and Jockey was a good family friendly pub that serves good food and drink and the staff where really pleasant and helpful!
We were able to easily launch out inflatable kayak from the site, and have a pleasant paddle down the canal towards Whitchurch, this was a nice positive for us.
In summery, our family of 4, plus dog had a pleasant weekend stay and felt we got real good value for money!

Perfectly situated with amazing views of the canal,
A very well kept site with 2 toilets and one shower ( which is in the ladies toilet but was not a problem for us)
Tom the owner was lovely and very helpful and at £18 a night is a fabulous little find,
Will definitely be back.

This is a great little campsite.
Facilities were very clean!
Very close to the local cafe and pub and just a bus ride into town or a nice 50 min walk along the canal.

Excellent small site alongside the canal. Spacious grass area and good, clean facilities.
Lovely walks along the canal past the six locks or into Whitchurch ( about 1 hour) with good bus service if you didn't want to walk back.
Very relaxing watching canal life go by and great atmosphere.
Perfect chilled out few days. Thanks Tom.
