Just returned from this great campsite, we have been here before and love the position and surrounding area. The toilets and showers are very clean and the pitches are of a good size. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The beach at
Dymchurch west of the Martello tower is great for walking the dog very sandy. We will be returning at sometime in future. The site has no play area or shop but if you want a peaceful break then this site is highly recommended.

This was the first 'family site' we have stayed at and we all had a wonderful time.
Do not use a Sat Nav to find this site as it directs you along the narrowest of lanes and you are in big trouble if towing and faced with an on-coming vehicle of any type!
The site is very level and the lay out was perfect for us, over looking the play field for the children.
The owners were very helpful and very strict with breaches of the rules which was great as it kept people in tow and made it a pleasurable experience for all.
The facilities are outstanding. The toilets and showers were kept very clean as as the washing area. There are fridges provided for storing excess foods.
The local area is just amazing and if you have not been before and like to cycle or walk then this is very much work visiting. There are so many places to visit within 30 minutes drive in all directions.
The local marshes have some of the most beautiful historic churches that you will find.
The site is very peaceful but beware it is a family site and there are lots of children but the noise stops at a reasonable time.
Excellent value for money and we are probably going to use this as a regular site as it is only 40 minutes away.
We highly recommend this site. You won't be disappointed.

Fifth visit and still as good as usual. Busier than normal but no queues for shower. Facilities spotless. Pitches ample size. Owners are very friendly. Has a meal at White Horse best meal that had for a long time highly recommend if fancy a change to bbq. Surrounding area great for walks. Hythe which is about 10 miles away lovely place to visit. Small Sainsbury in New Romney. Already booked for next year.

We've just come home from a week at this site and I have to agree with everyone who has praised the facilities. The toilets & showers were immaculately clean although OH found the shower temperature a little too low for his taste and I struggled a bit with keeping the shower curtains inside the shower resulting in a pool of water to stand in post shower! On the days I managed to get it right everything was fine.
The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and the prices are exceptionally low.
The site is absolutely flat and the pitches are a little snug so, in high season, I feel that it would all be a bit cramped for my taste.
The washing up area is excellent and houses a washing machine which is operated by tokens (£3. 50 each) available from the office - if you purchase a token and don't use it, you can get your money back. There's also a rotary washing line for campers to use.
There is so much to do in the surrounding area, walking or cycling or touring around Dungeness or Canterbury, there must be something for everyone.
It's worth mentioning the Sainsbury's in New Romney which is the closest supermarket but it's probably a good idea to stock up before you arrive at the site.
All in all a very good site and value for money. I'd stay there again but only out of season because I like to get away from other people when camping.

We have visited this site twice now, both times just after the kids have returned to school in September. The site is extremely quiet - perfect for us - the toilet/shower block & laundry/washing up areas are always very clean, there are electric hookups on some pitches, and a free phone to contact staff 'out of hours' if required. There is a nice little dog walking area on site. Only one downside - there is no WiFi, which would be useful for finding more info about the locality and routes etc despite leaflets available in the site office. Also, the owners are extremely friendly. The White Horse at Bilsington (about 2 miles) does really good food at reasonable prices; the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway runs right out to Dungeness and there are beautiful beaches all along the coast, particularly St Marys Bay just a few miles away. All in all, a really nice holiday.

Lovely quiet, flat site, with pleasant views of grazing sheep; very well kept clean and tidy facilities. Only two toilets each but this was never a problem while we were there as we practically had the site to ourselves during the week and it appears to attract mostly caravans.
Lovely people, very friendly, going out of their way to be helpful. The only glitch really was finding the campsite after a day out- the lanes on Romney Marsh are a maze and not well signposted! By the end of our stay we had just about got it sussed (though we still managed to take a wrong turning when we left!)If we went back to the area we would stay there again.

This is a proper, old fashioned, friendly very well run site.
My wife and I enjoyed every minute there, from the small touches like Wash up liquid left in washing up areas to air fresheners in loos!
The couple who run this site are campers themselves and obviously know exactly what campers require.
The pitches are amazing.
Dead flat with Golf Course quality grass on them. Our pitch was a huge 50'X50'
Many pitches have electric and there are plenty of water stand pipes around.
There is 2 freezers available to store stuff or Ice blocks as well as the usual chemical disposal points etc.
Push button showers are a little too hot for me and the owners did turn them down, but the showers are a bit cramped.
This site is incredible value for money, £14 per night including electricity.
Only down side, which is not the site fault is its location- it seems miles from anywhere!
Dont go there, you wont like it!

We've just had a wonderful four nights at Norwood Farm. It is so well kept and clean. The pitches are well marked and mowed. It is extremely quiet as a site with only the baaing of sheep to disturb one's peace. The location is excellent with the beaches of Dymchurch and Hythe close by. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. The facilities are excellent, well laid out and spacious with constant hot water. A washing up room has fridges to keep one's food cool. Romney Marsh is full of winding roads which are excellent for cycling. Dungeness with its famous bird reserve is close by. Extremely relaxing with lots of space for children to play. Unfussy and sensible management.

This is an absolutely brilliant camp site. It is well-run, quiet, inexpensive, pretty and has all the facilities one can hope for.
There is a large space for children to play and the toilet block was spotless. For relaxing camping this site must rate as one of the best.
This camp site is ideally situated for visiting the mysterious Romney Marsh churches, in particular the small church in the middle of the field called the Church of St Thomas Beckett, which featured in the recent BBC production of 'Great Expectations'.
Another big attraction is the Dungeness area. This is a very photogenic area and almost everywhere where one points a camera results in an interesting picture.
There is the old lighthouse to climb, and it is a fairly easy climb because there are a lot of rest areas in between the stages.
The nearest shopping area to stock up is in the town of New Romney, so going by car or bicycle is almost essential, although there is a bus service. A unique train service called the Dymchurch Railway runs from Dymchurch to the Nuclear Power station next to the old lighthouse.
Bringing a family on this holiday would leave the children with lasting impressions, in my view.

What a lovely site! Incredibly good value for money. Lovely clean facilities, particularly the children's bathroom. We stayed over the jubilee weekend and despite the miserable weather the effort the site went to to celebrate was much appreciated! Booking was easy and they tried hard to accommodate our party so we could be together despite booking quite late. I can't wait to visit here again this summer! One last thing, I'm very fussy about grass and here it was like carpet!
