We stopped here for a week and we loved it. There is no shop, no kids facilities and no noise (except the dawn chorus, sheep bleating and a donkey braying). You are literally in the middle of The Marsh and surrounded by fields of sheep, grass and corn. The local pubs are all at least a couple of miles away.
We were asked to phone 30 mins prior to arrival and were met at the site and shown to our pitch. The pitches are all level, as expected, and there is a hedge affording some shelter. The toilet block is spotless and thoroughly cleaned daily. There was even air freshener left in the loos! There is loads of hot water, the showers are push button and temperature pre-set. There is a washing up room complete with fridge/freezer. The whole site is well maintained and the owners very friendly and helpful.
We visited Rye, Dungerness (by steam train), Canterbury, Whitstable (try their oysters), Hastings, Broadstairs, Dover castle and Deal.
It may not be the perfect campsite for everyone, but for us, it was spot on.

Just returned home from Norwood Farm having spent the bank holiday there with friends and family.
We will be back soon, site is close so ideal for weekend breaks.
Facilities are spotless, nice hot showers etc, our friends used the family bathroom with their toddler which they thought was great too!
In addition to the washing up facilities there is also a freezer for campers to use.
We are local so we didn't explore much, but there is lots to do and see nearby if you are not local. There is a good caravan friendly route from the M20 using the A2070.
Best part is the owners, this must be the friendliest site we've stayed on. Really made us feel welcome. Being Jubilee weekend they threw a 'field party' on Sunday for those who wished to take part, and on the day we left they made a cooked breakfast for the entire campsite.
Think this could be a regular site for us now!

Our third visit to this site - and it is still a joy to stay here - facilities spotless; owners friendly.
Went on some different walks this time - there are so many walks to go on. Met some lovely campers who told us some places to visit that we hadn't been to before.
Visited Hythe several times as it is an ideal place for my boyfriend and I to go roller blading.
There is also a large Sainsburys in Hythe for all your BBQ needs. Folkestone is not too far and a lot of improvement works are taking place here.
Hoping to return next year.

Just returned from a family holiday at this site (nine nights). Very nice site run by helpful people. Showers etc always clean with plenty of hot water. Good sized pitches which are nice and flat.
Possibly more on the basic side than luxury. Plenty of room for children to play but no actual play equipment.
Lovely spot in the middle of Romney Marsh although local roads are somewhat confusing. Site could do with better location signage. No shops close by although some nice local pubs.
Plenty to do in the area. Highlights for us included Dover Castle, the 1066 site at Battle and cycling, on very flat roads, to St Mary's Bay on the coast.
Ideal for a stop-over en route to Dover etc or for a longer break in the area.

This is a lovely family friendly camp site and this was my second visit here! The owners are always welcoming and friendly on arrival and throughout the stay.
The pitch sizes are good - electric and non electric available. The centre of the site is an area for children to play. No play facilities but to be honest the children were happy to meet and play games with others there and use their own imagination and equipment.
The toilets and showers was clean, well kept and enough space for their purpose. I didn't encounter any queueing for these which is great! There is a 'bathroom' for small children too - very handy.
The kitchen has 2 sinks and supplies of cloths and washing up liquid for use. There are fridges available for cold food storage and the means to label your own also provided. There is also a freezer for iceblocks etc too.
A rotary washing line is available for drying out wet clothing.
It's about 5 miles from the coast - good seaside venues available and lovely sandy beaches. Cycle routes surround the area (info can be found online or even purchased at the one of the Light Railway stations nearby).
Several geocaches are nearby too.
I plan on going back again!

Have just got home from this campsite having already booked a return visit at the end of the month. This campsite, which is set in the most beautiful scenery, is a real find, a jewel! The owners are friendly and very helpful and made a point of walking through the campsite and talking to people. The individual pitches are large and clearly marked. It has electric and non-electric pitches. The showers and toilets are simple but they are absolutely spotless, cleaned every day.
The cubicles are of a good size and I never had to wait for a shower. Plenty of hot water for showers and also in the separate dishwashing area. There is a washing machine and there are also fridges for people to use, the only request is that the items are labelled but they even provide the labels.
You can only buy lollies on site but the supermarket is close and details of how to get to it are clearly displayed. There is a little office with a selection of books, magazines, tourist leaflets etc. There is also a phone with a direct link to the owners so they can be contacted immediately if there is a problem.
The owners ensure that the site is quiet at night so children can get to sleep easily and then the grown ups can relax! There were quite a few families there over the weekend and the children were having a lovely time.
There is no playground but there is a grassy area in the middle where children were playing but they were not rowdy and as the grass is slightly to one side any noise heard is minimal. When I sat outside my awning this morning, all I could hear was birdsong and the occasional sheep, bliss!
The beach at St Mary's Bay is not far away and it is soft yellow sand which is covered every day by the hight tide so lovely and clean, also very safe as there is a very shallow incline which seems to go on for miles. There is lots to do in the local area for people of all ages.

Just got back from our first stay at Norwood Farm & already booked again for another long weekend, which says it all really,
I can only reiterate what all before me have said, a lovely Spotlessly clean & well kept site in all areas (including the toilets) run by very friendly people.
There is very little in the surrounding area with regards shops, pubs etc, the nearest restaurant is approx one and a half miles, and never did find a local pub, and probably to dark to walk back of an evening,
But having said that Dymchurch with its Beautiful beach & plenty of eating and drinking places, is only a ten minute drive away

We went Easter weekend, the weather was glorious, campsite was well worth the money.
Good size pitch, toilets and showers very clean, good area for washing up all needs catered for. No need to bring washing up liquid/cloths all there for you. The owners very friendly. Would definitely go again, as its a very peaceful site.
As for the country lanes took us a day to get used to them, its easy to get lost around there.

After a long drive we stayed at Norwood for one night en route to Dover. We arrived in pouring rain and missed the entrance. However, they'd been looking out for us, saw us go past and waited on the lane till we came round again!
They were very friendly and helpful and even let us keep the caravan hitched up as we had an early start. Clean toilet blocks. Generous pitch sizes. Incredible price for late August that included electric hook up and being a couple of days before the Bank Holiday weekend we could book just the one night.
Others had wanted 3 nights minimum and they were much more expensive. Norwood Farm is a gem of a site and we'd definitely use it again.

Just returned from another brilliant week of camping at Norwood. Site as lovely as last year; shower block always clean; neighbours very friendly ie The sheep in the next field. Lovely countryside for walks. Went into Hythe which has a lovely walk along the front ideal for cycling along or as we did roller blading. Spent a day at Hastings loads to see and do. Also went for a carvery at The Plough, New Romney which the worst carvery my boyfriend and I have every had and would not recommend anyone to go there - give this a miss.
