Just returned from this site at the weekend, we stayed for 3 nights. We were given a great pitch around the central circle of the pitch which was great as our daughter could play in the middle with the other children and we could keep an eye on her. We could also watch the sheep in the field behind very nice. Nice quiet site but for the children playing but it was nice to see them all get on so well. We also managed to gain the use of a picnic bench that are around for us to use which was very handy.
The toilet blocks were very clean with 2 toilets and 3 showers in the ladies. There was also a kitchen with 2 sinks and fridge freezers for us to use they even supplied dishcloths and washingup liquid.
We love this area of the country and will definitely be returning again for longer next year. Thank you.
We found it a bit difficult to find in the first place, could do with some better sign posts, but it was well worth the search ;-)

What a fabulous campsite. Great value for money - 2 adults/2 children £16 per night non electric, bargain. No extra charges if you want to pitch a gazebo or as we normally do a tarp for eating under. Simple pricing, no confusion.
Quiet, beautiful views across the Romney Marsh, No main roads for 5 miles.
We stayed on the non electric part of the site. Not very far to walk to clean and tidy toilet /shower block/washing up and the use of three fridges and freezers!
Plenty of room for playing with our children outside the tents.
The site had been mowed very recently and was a lush green. The pitches were all FLAT which is very important, I hate ending up at the bottom of my sleeping bag in the morning!
The owners live next to site and are very friendly. Apart from ice creams for sale there was no shop on site, but a tesco express in Dymchurch or Sainsburys in New Romney served for any emergencies. The Romney Hythe and Dymchurch railway is a must visit for families and the beach at Dymchurch /St Marys Bay is sandy and long tides mean a massive play area! Would go back to this site for sure.

Just returned from a few days break, well what can I say that has not already been said. The owners give you a lovely greeting and were very helpful. The toilets and showers are very clean and although we did not use it, it has a kitchen area with a fridge and freezer which anyone can use.Very narrow lanes on the approach so take care if towing. The locals drive fast! Will use this site again when I need to chill out.

Just back from spending 8 days as a family, our second time so far this year and back again at the end of August. This really is a site that caters for all, families that are looking for a safe site for the children to play or for those that just wanting to relax in a rural setting.
The area has so much beauty and quietness, particularly if you like cycling, as the lanes are almost traffic free and flat. This is the third year that we have used this site and can see us coming back year after year.

Just returned from 3 nights camping at this great site.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.
This is an ideal place for families as most of the (tent) pitches circle an open play area (just grass, no swings etc). The kids have plenty of space to play and the parents can relax outside the tent and keep an eye on them.
Overall the facilities were very good. Showers/toilets were clean and well maintained however the hot water in the shower did occasionally turn cold. In both men's and women's blocks there are 2 toilet and 3 shower cubicles. Although we never had to wait, I would imagine when the site is full you might have to queue to use them. Just one word of caution, the men's toilet cubicles are next door to the kitchen area and the sound carries between the two so be warned if you can hear them, they can probably hear you so avoid eating curries!
The kitchen is clean and has 2 sinks, a fridge/freezer and washing machine.
Our only criticism is the pitch sizes are a little bit snug.
Will hopefully return later this year.

We have been coming to this site since 2004, and have always enjoyed it. The facilities are good, and the toilets and showers etc are very clean and the owners are very friendly and helpful.
However, on our last visit over the Bank Holiday weekend, we were disappointed that the majority of pitches were occupied by huge tents. This made the site very congested, especially with cars parked all over the place as there was barely enough room for them on the pitch due to the size of many of the tents.
There were queues for the facilities most mornings and evenings. The noise from the centre of the field was relentless from 7 in the morning until well after 9 at night. I appreciate it was a BH, but we never felt relaxed. It is much more camping park than caravan site. Unfortunately, I doubt we will be visiting this site again.

Lovely site that overlooks a sheep farm.
The toilets always clean.
There are pitches around the edge of the site and then more in the middle where families tend to go which is great to see all the kids playing together.
The family who own the site are extremely friendly and very helpful.
The site is only 25 mins from our home but its our favourite site, pity its not open all year !
Were are going back end of September.

We love camping but struggle to find tent friendly campsites and normally feel very outnumbered by caravans. This site caters for both and we felt very comfortable being in a tent as we were pitched up near other tents.
This campsite is absolutely perfect for children as the layout consists of a number of pitches in a big circle around a middle playing field. So every morning all the children run in to the middle field and play whilst the parents sit and relax by their tents. This means that when you aren't out exploring the kids have something to do and you can keep your eye on them and relax at the same time.
They have a rule that this field can't be used after 9.30 so you get a bit of piece and quiet and can get to sleep.
It's very well run. Very friendly staff who are always willing to help. Toilet and shower facilities are decent and there is also a kitchen are with a communal fridge to store your food. You simply place a sticker (provided) with your name on it onto your food and it seems to work really well.
It's very much out in the sticks so I wouldn't suggest it if you are not driving. There is a pub nearby at Ivychurch called the Bell Inn which is a lovely country pub that serves food and has a beer garden and the seaside town of Dymchurch is about a 10-15 min drive where you can stock up on supplies as the campsite itself doesn't have a shop (although it does sell icecreams at the reception).
Recommended!

My wife and I with our two kids (10 & 8) have just spent 4 nights at his great family campsite in our tent.
We booked this at the last minute and the owners were really helpful, giving us a great pitch, with the option of electric hook up if required (which we didn't).
The toilet and shower blocks were really clean and well kept, as was the Kitchen area.
The kitchen area has two sinks, a washing machine (token operated) and free use of a larder fridge and a smaller fridge freezer, which gets quite full with freezer blocks etc.
All in all a lovely campsite, which I would have no problem in recommending to any families.

Just back from 6 days stopping at Norwood - fantastic site - everything you could want, quiet location, friendly and helpful owners - family run.
The shower/toilet block very clean, soap in the toilets; hot water at all times - I had a shower at 5 am and my boyfriend had one at 10 pm - loads of hot water. Washing up facilities 'spot on' - washing up liquid provided; fridge/freezer free to use. Car journey to nearby Sainsburys about 15 minutes. Not far from the M20 link to Dover if you want to visit Calais by ferry. We will definitely return next year.
