A very lovely campsite, great views and welcomed by the owner when we arrived. My daughter loved going to see the animals.
Unfortunately the weather was awful (which was a gamble we took by going camping in October!) which meant we were limited on what we could do with a toddler and 2 dogs.
The shower/toilets were basic but fine. The children's play area could do with sorting out as quite a few of the toys were broken, although it is end of the season so this may explain why.

Basic site but clean functioning facilities. Sheep roam freely during the week, not a problem except all the poo!
Campfires provided and sell wood (and firefighters and matches If needs be). Grass a bit long but pleasant convenient few days.

Rustic and Great! We visited 22/08/20 for 3 nights (however had to pack away early due to the 70mph winds and rain forecast for the fourth day). Anyway, we rocked up 11am Sat morning and welcomed by Andy and Lynne the weeked site managers. They explained the rules of the site (basically there is only one rule, no music) a bit of a shame but not the end of the world.
We were told we could pitch anywhere we wanted unless we wanted an electric hook up, which we did. We were directed up to a nice corner by the sheep field.
There were three parties in out group so the space was more than generous. We pitched, then we wandered.
We were near a set of toilets, which also housed a communal fridge and freezer (freezer block sharing scheme, drop your unfrozen blocks in and take one out, just make sure you name yours for when you leave, its handy to put your leaving date on also), not much further down that stretch is the bar, (old horse box converted, very funky) stocked everything you needed and cheap.
A small shop next to the bar, with a £1, £2 & £3 shelf with an honesty box.
They have a pig called Elvis, sheep, goats and guinea-pigs.
A massive plus you can have campfires which we all loved. Neil the owner, a very pleasant guy. All in all a very nice, rustic campsite, will definitely be returning in April 21.

Merediths was fantastic and all you could ever want! Total quiet and freedom to choose a pitch where you want.
Facilities were basic but clean. Andy was beyond helpful and friendly and immediately made us feel at home. Please note the closest place to pick up any food is a drive away.
Absolutely loved the encouragement of fires! Will be back!

Lovely campsite, children were really entertained and loved the animals. There were toys for the children to play with. We made a rope swing and the children spent hours taking it in turns.
Had a bar and a little shop, they sell animal food to feed the goats and the pig. Lovely little Guinea pig village.
Only downfall were the toilets and shower.

Brilliant, quirky site. Toilets, showers, bar which is a horse box and ex conservatory as the shelter. Pitch where you want, no defined spaces.
£10 a night, ehu extra.
Andy the camp host is excellent.

We enjoyed our stay at Meredith Farm campsite. It's in a lovely location with great views, particularly from the very quiet field in which we stayed.
Liked the fact that you could choose to stay in either the quiet field which tended to have lots of families with children and the very quiet field which tended to be more couples/small adult groups.
Facilities are v basic but we found them to be clean and perfectly adequate. (Didn't use showers so can't comment on what they were like) Really liked the fact that fires are encouraged.
Little petting zoo is great for the kids and there is a small shop that sells emergency supplies. Did a lovely walk to local pub in Llangrove.
Would definitely stay again.

Brilliant quiet site with its own quirky charm. Love the owner's sense of humour and the basic facilities provided. First stayed here in 2012 and much improved since then, more and better toilets and washing blocks for a start.
The camping fields, (quiet and very quiet) are spacious with hook up points around the perimeter, loads of room if you don't need electricity.
A very small honesty shop is available as is a small informal bar which serves great beer to campers without it being loud, obtrusive or even obvious that it's there. The night skies are dark enough to see the stars properly.
A brilliant less formal site for all although completely novice campers might find it lives up to many of their expectations too!

What a great site. Huge quiet field to pitch in, so we found a spot with lovely views so we could watch the sunsets. Our nearest tent neighbours were about 30m away. Fire pits provided (free) were excellent and a big bag of super dry wood available for a fiver In an honesty box.
This is a no music site which we loved, enabling us to hear the sounds of the countryside around. We listened to buzzards, owls, swallows, ravens, crows, the odd gull, woodpeckers and watched a red kite soaring above our tent. You can hear cars from the road but they were not intrusive and it was not a busy road.
The facilities are fairly basic, but clean. There is a small horse box pub in the second field (which was a busier, less quiet field where families were with younger kids).
We spent a very pleasant evening sat outside with a pint of real ale chatting to the owner and other campers. There is also a horse box honesty shop with some useful essentials.
The site is perfectly situated to explore the Forest of Dean, the Wye Valley and the Welsh Marches and we can’t wait to return.

Nice setting very relaxed with a handy shop and bar.
The weather was great so that helped, and Andy was helpful and informative.
Water pressure in toilets and washing up wasn't ideal, but ok.
