I was on this site last year and had to come back, it has beautiful surroundings, not far from the centre of Wisbech (walkable) but not to close so its very tranquil. The owners of the site are extremely welcoming with events of beer tasting & a BBQ sampling what they sell in the on site shop. The bar looks awesome which is attached to the distillery. The on site ablutions with wet rooms, wash room with washer & dryer for clothes and a freezer for your ice packs, you just can not fault the work they put in to ensuring you have good break or holiday. Nothing is to far even Asda (with a cafe) & the best Fish & Chip next door is a short drive. They also have fire pits for BBQ's and a big one near the bar. Its a bring your own beer & buy the local brewed beer from the shop the bar does not have a bar tender/person.

What a fantastic site!
Great staff welcome, site was quite wet on our arrival, but quickly drained.
We have a large caravan and it is quite difficult to navigate on to pitches due to greenery on site, but manager came over and helped us manoeuvre! Very helpful.
Site was very busy and our children joined others on site and had great fun without need for computers etc!
Made good use of fire pits to cook and do marshmallows of evening.
Sausage and beer tasting was a great event and very tasty, recommend.
Toilets showers very clean and voluntary donations for use.
Good location close to Wisbech and short drive to kings Lynn and Hunstanton!
Overall a great stay and will be returning soon! Highly recommend!

Not sure I can add more to what has already been said about this wonderful site by UKCampsite.co.uk members.
Clean, quiet, fantastic price for the facilities provided.
In the facilities block there is a washing up area with 2 sinks, washing machine / tumble dryer 50p each, fridge freezer for use by campers. Another 2 washing up sinks outside.
3 wet rooms each with shower toilet and sink and underfloor heating, one has full disabled facilities
Pitches 1 - 10 have electric / water and grey waste, 4 or 5 non electric pitches
Great owners who take tremendous pride in what they have created

We booked this site on strength of reviews. On arrival made most welcome and shown to our pitch. The site is divided into five pitches within the garden area separated by greenery and hedges and an open field area. Our pitch was enclosed by hedges but children from next door pitches had to come past to get to toilet block. Water, electric and tv and satellite all on bollard at pitch. Central block had huge rooms with shower and toilet in each. It also had table tennis and sitting area in the main area, so tended to be noisy and busy. Dog walk area good. WiFi was poor coverage, had to stand under mast to get any signal. Shop and brewery on site. Plenty entertainment for children. Our first night was anything but peaceful. Children running around and screaming and shouting until late, just playing, but still disturbing. This is a great site for families with children. It was school holidays. We move on after one night looking for a bit more peace. No refund on WiFi or site fees was offered.

Management response: We are sorry that your stay at our site did not meet your expectations. It’s disappointing for us as we really want every single visitor to enjoy our site.
The Secret Garden has a very different feel during summer school holidays compared to the peace and tranquillity of normal term time. Not that we tolerate bad behaviour or undue noise, but children playing normally and enjoying the site we feel is acceptable, We have been asked the question on many occasions "why don’t we make this an adult only site", but that’s not what we are about, and we feel it’s important that our site is for young families to enjoy a real camping experience.
We apologise for not offering a refund on Wi-Fi and pitch fees, but it seems we were not fully aware of the issues here, certainly for dates we can rebook pitches (normally the next day in peak season) we would have refunded if asked.
On the wifi, again if this was not working for your device as expected we would have been happy to refund if made aware of the issue.
To help put this right, Lesley and I invite you to return as our guests outside of school holidays and experience the site differently. Please do call and speak to Lesley referring to this feedback.
Many Thanks
Lesley & Neil |

We have just returned from the Secret Garden after spending 4 tranquil nights there, the serviced pitches are spacious and the setting is breath taking. The park had it all, pigs, chickens, fire pits, wifi, shop with essential items including local produce that isn't overpriced. The convenience block housed clean shower rooms that are spacious and warm with underfloor heating and ample hot water, there is a washing machine and fridge freezer in the washing up area along with a small recreational area for games, reading etc with information on the local area. There is a small, clean dog walking area, a bbq area for residents to use and several areas for children to play. The only downfall is the limited availability, however the owners are already developing new pitches which I'm sure will be completed to an equally high standard. Thank you for developing his truly, hidden gem.

Another lovely week at our favourite site ever. Extra wash up sink inside and two outside have been added since we were last there two weeks ago. The new piglets had arrived 2 weeks old now, loose hen running around, the owner was trying to get her to sit on some eggs but she was having none of it. Had our visit from Vernon the resident cat who always makes himself at home. Site was full come the weekend, as we were in the garden part of the site you would think you are the only one on site the way the pitches are surrounded by shrubs and trees (five ehu pitches), kids have a great time in the meadow which has another 5 ehu and room for non electric pitches and of course the glamping pod. See you both soon (August cannot wait)

Fantastic site set in trees so very sheltered in bad weather. Owners very nice, friendly, and helpful. This is one of our most favourite sites and definitely will be back. Facilities top rate, wet rooms, laundry, community facilities, nature web cam, animals on site, children loved feeding the pigs and the sausages and beer fantastic

Another lovely week in my most favourite site ever along with my partner my mum and friend, my only gripe is that it is getting very popular only kidding even when site is full it is not full on like some sites that pack you in like sardines you have a lovely big pitch with everything at hand (water, electric and a light). Second visit this year 2 more to go, lots of things to do in and around Wisbech this time went to Thetford, Heacham, Spalding and the Baytree nursery.
Vernon the cat had a nice afternoon nap in the tent, love the Hobbit Hole that Neil has built, doing well with their other site across the road. Kids love it here you can hear them playing and making dens and you only see them when they are hungry, taking my two granddaughters in August they love it here. See you in 2 weeks

We went to the site on advise from friends, to be honest we loved it. The site was excellent the owners were bang-on. Going again in July with others. This site is perfect for kids and adults with the micro brewery on site. Here is some good advise bring some marshmallows for the campfire fantastic. We loved every minute. The showers and facilities were top notch. They have a small shop which is very well stocked as well the only thing is the entrance pls do what is advised as the turning to the site if you follow gps is on a blind bend, well worth a visit.

My first thought was to give the Secret Garden a very poor review, selfish really as all I want to do is keep it for myself!
We have been motorhomers since 2006 and this is the first site that my wife has stated that she wants to come back!
What a tremendous site, very professional and friendly site owners who met us in the office, gave us all the local information and a taster of the local ale, brewed on site.
First impressions were 'yes, ok, clean and welcoming arrivals area, but nothing special' however, through the 5 barred gate, into a wooded area and following a twisting grassed track we passed pitches in wooded glades(poetic or what?).
The track opened out onto the 'meadow' which has pitches all around the perimeter with hook up, water, grey waste disposal and metal fire pits.
The Shower and amenities block which is also located on the meadow not only contains toilet cubicles and toilet/shower cubicles of a very good size, but also the washing up area, a table tennis table, darts etc but also a screen showing the life interior of the pig pen complete with expectant sow.
This site is beautifully laid out and the owners even lay on a beer and sausage tasting hour on a Saturday afternoon.
Please don't visit this lovely site or we will not be able to return unless they increase the number of pitches from 15!
