First camp of the year to my most favourite campsite thanks again for a great weekend lovely to see you both again. Booked the boys on the Bushcraft which is a four hour session learning survival etc they loved every minute of it thank-you Andrew.
Neil has added a Hobbit hill for the children along with a maze which should be ready in the summer.
Beer and sausage tasting after the bushcraft with one of the campers telling a story about Vernon the secret garden cat.
There is also a garden kitchen planted up ready for the summer they are going to do salad boxes what a great idea.
Just a lovely friendly site with great owners and all the amenities
See you again in May

Just got back from another fantastic weekend camping at secret gardens. It was our first camp of the year. We have been here a couple of times and it just gets better. Friends of ours came for the first time with their two young boys whom one of them done the four hour bushcraft session, he really enjoyed it. Our 19 year old daughter came with us this time, she had great fun too. Looking forward to our next trip here and so are our friends. The owners are so helpful and will go out of their way to make you very welcome :)

After some unseasonably pleasant weather we decided to head out on our first trip of the year. This site was top of our list to try as we had read all the previous reviews but found it fully booked on a couple of attempts last year. This really is an absolute gem of a site. The owners could not have been more pleasant, helpful and informative. They have a genuine love of what they do, so much thought and enthusiasm goes into the day to day running of the site which adds up to creating, in our opinion the perfect break. The shop is well stocked and prices are excellent, not the extortionate rates some charge at all. Pitch fees are great value for money at £15 per night. There is a micro brewery on site and on Saturday afternoon there was a free beer and sausage tasting event with a story session for the kids thrown in. The site is very safe and our 9 yr old daughter and her friend happily amused themselves for hours. The toilet and shower facilities are amazing, clean and of a very high quality. Showers are free and there is a donation box located on the wall for charity, a lovely touch. Two nights came and went far too quickly and we shall definitely return.

We have booked again ( our 3rd visit ) for this August Bank holiday. They were booked up, but Lesley very kindly fitted us in AND let us have our favourite plot. Our last visit was September 2013. We can't fault anything about the site and would very much like to keep it a secret! But the word is spreading fast.
A beautiful site. Very peaceful and relaxing, and will continue to use it.

Fourth visit this year tried out our newly acquired trailer tent, just me the other half and the wee dog. Again a really enjoyable 7 nights and the weather was great. The meadow area has really bloomed since our last visit, pumpkins ready for Halloween. Neil and Lesley go out of their way to make it a really enjoyable stay especially the kids. There is a new litter of pigs, 10 in total and of course the chickens, beer and sausage tasting on Saturdays, with a guest who showed the children survival techniques, lighting fires etc. First class amenities, cannot fault the showers and laundry and wash up area. Once again thanks Neil and Lesley see you next year

Set in an old tree nursery. This is a fantastic site for the kids. Safe and fun. The pitches are excellent and the fire pits for each pitch add to the experience. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Once we pitched, the children were off and only returned when they were hungry, but because the site is quite small we always knew where they were. We had a rainy day which was spent at the lux cinema in Wisbeach, another gem! One of our favourite campsites ever.

When we originally saw the 40 reviews, all giving top marks, we had to see for ourselves, and they were all right!
- Great facilities, very clean and well kept
- Great beer, and 'on tap' direct from the shop
- Very friendly hosts, any help and advice freely given, they obviously enjoy what they do
- Able to fully exercise our Springers close by
- If other sites followed this same model, they would always be full.
As you can tell, we really enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, if we all keep giving top reviews, they will not have room for us in the future, so please keep this Secret a secret!

Just returned from a very enjoyable 5 day stay at the Secret Garden. Everything is just great, lovely site with large pitches set in private little glades, with electric, water and waste water disposal at each pitch, and a more open meadow for tents without electric hook ups, a bit more basic.
Can only agree with what everyone else has said. Spotless toilets, very attentive owners, beautifully kept site. Ideal for exploring the Fens. Wisbech is a lovely Georgian town, quite a lot to see and do. Elgoods Brewery do tours, Peckover House (National Trust), Market Thursday and Saturday. An easy drive to Cambridge and Ely.
Good Fish and Chips in Wisbech St Mary's about 1 1/2 miles away.
Would highly recommend this gem of a site, hopefully we will be going back in September.

We were really excited to try this site, and we were not let down when we arrived.
We were greeted by owner and taken to our pitch. We had an unserviced pitch (we asked for this as we had no EHU) and were given pitch 11. We were in the meadow opposite the facilities block and had an excellent location sheltered by the trees on one side, and a view across the meadow.
The facilities block is well kept and always clean. There are 3 wet rooms with a shower, toilet and sink in (one being a disabled room) and one toilet room within the block. You may think this doesn't sound enough but we never had to wait for a toilet or shower as there are only 15 pitches. The rooms are unisex but this wasn't a problem.
The showers are free, and there are donation boxes outside each shower with 3 different charities to choose from which I think is a lovely idea.
Also within the block is a utility room with a sink for washing dishes and a washing machine which is 50p for an hour's use, and a tumble dryer which is 50p for 30 minutes. There is also a fridge/freezer for all to use.
Within the main area of the block there is table tennis, a tv and a few chairs, and books to loan for adults and children and information on the notice boards about local walks/cycle routes and other bits of useful information.
There is a water tap based close to the camping pod, and if any of the serviced pitches aren't in use each has their own tap so we used the one next to us.
The kids loved to feed the chickens and the pigs, and my husband loved to sample the ale made on site!
There is a little shop which stocks most things you need and it is all reasonably priced. You can buy logs for the fire pits (all pitched have a pit and the pits are free).
The owners even go out of their way if something isn't stocked to try and accommodate you (our neighbour forgot moisturising cream and went to the shop to see if they sold it and because they didn't the owners daughter lent some of hers)
All the campers were really friendly too and we met some lovely people and so did the children. I have a disabled child and don't usually let her go off on her own free will, but the site was so safe and secure we felt okay to leave both kids to go and play.
Can't wait to visit again next year. This really is a campers heaven!
Thanks - the Robinsons

This is the perfect site. Really friendly owners who clearly love what they do and make your welcome and stay special. Very small site with a homely feel and emphasis on nature and location. Very peaceful and no road noise. Superb location made all the better by the level of service and cleanliness you will struggle to find elsewhere. We bought lots of the beer made on site - and sampled much more at the wine and sausage event on the Saturday. A perfect place for a chill out weekend. Thanks so much !
