EXCELLENT! We turned up here after leaving another site, we hadn't booked but they had room for us. Well sign posted.

The prices aren't cheap but we were given a discount! (but worth every penny!) We were given a map to show us where to pitch and where the facilities were.

A man showed us where to pitch and how he wanted us. Great customer service! The site was very well maintained, they had cut the grass and picked it up, no nasty grass cuttings in the awning!

Toilets were very clean, lots of loos and enclosed cubicles for washing. Close to Bridgnorth for shops, pubs, etc.

Close to a country park to walk the dog, very pleasant and a lovely night spent here!

Would recommend to anyone!

We stayed here over the Spring Bank holiday, and not having booked were very lucky to get a superb grass pitch in the adult section overlooking the lake. (We had in fact booked into a CL a few hundred metres away, but were disappointed with this so did a quick flit!)

Staff were great, helping us find a local mobile caravan engineer even though the office had closed. We were glad to have the grass pitch because a lot of the hardstanding ones looked quite cramped, especially as the site was busy.

Despite being busy, the toilet block was always clean, though my wife had to queue for a shower late one evening. Road noise was not a problem though the resident peacock certainly was! Pitch fees are quite high, especially if you have an awning kids and dog. (We don't!)

During our stay we visited the Iron Bridge gorge, but were a bit disappointed at the Iron Museum. It was expensive, not very imaginative and several of the 'interactive' models didn't work. If you want to do all the museums, there are 25% discount vouchers at the site reception.

We also visited a couple of nearby NT properties - Dudmaston was the more interesting, but opening hours are limited. Our best trip out was undoubtedly to Cosford RAF museum. We spent over 7 hours there and still didn't see everything - and it's free!

By the way, the B4364 between Ludlow and Bridgnorth is an unpleasant road to tow a caravan along!

Just returned from a three night break at this site. The staff are really friendly and the site was immaculate. The pitches are well laid out with the grass adult only pitches overlooking the central feature of a lake.

The toilet blocks were very clean and the showers were always piping hot. We have stayed with Morris leisure on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed and this time we benefited from a free night (if you have twelve on your card). There is a small play area for children but not much else on the site for the little one's apart from wildlife.

The site is approximately 3 miles from the low town of Bridgnorth and there is a bus stop about half a mile from the site entrance, however, the buses do not run on Sundays or bank holidays and times are some distance apart, costs £3. 40 for two adults. That said a taxi ride will cost you £5. 00 each way but you will need to book in advance.

My wife and I will definitely be returning some time soon as it is a lovely part of the country.

We chose Stanmore Hall for our Easter break as it looked a bit different to our usual site, and what a good choice it was.

The site is easy to access, with security barriers operated by a weekly code. The site roads are tarmaced and flat.

We got a friendly welcome from the staff, who showed us on a map where our pitch was.

The pitch was flat and very little levelling was required, although it wasn't the biggest pitch we've ever been on, once the car, van and awning were in situ. We were at the rear of the site, so there was little road noise, even though the site is on a main road.

The site is in the grounds of Stanmore Hall, and was obviously once the gardens. There is a central lake, and vans pitch round 3 sides, with the utilities block on the fourth side. There are waste, fresh water and chem disposal points around the site.

The facilities were always spotless and warm, plenty of loos and showers for the size of the site.

There are some great places to visit in the area - Bridgenorth is lovely to wander around, some great shops and eateries, there is an Aldi just outside the town, too. We also went to Iron Bridge gorge, which was beautiful, RAF Cosford and the cold war exhibition, and lots more besides.

We had a fabulous time and are looking forward to returning.

Oh - watch out for Poppadum the peacock and his girlfriends - they sleep up the cedar during the night!

Stayed for 2 weeks in a touring caravan. The receptionist was informative of the area and provided us with maps of the park etc, the on site shop had a good selection of items. We had booked on the adult only section on a grass pitch.

The pitch space was good but if the place was full then we would have been very cramped. The facilities for my grey waste and to fill my aquaroll up was not very practical and I had to lift my wastemaster / aquaroll on/off raised bricks. Easy when its empty.

Disappointed that they didn't have a dog exercise area, the small dog walk could easily be fenced off to provide this. Stanmore country park is within walking distance for a lengthier walk.

There was apple room in the showers and they had a good flow of water and was nice and hot. The shower/toilet block was spotless and so was the park, it was very pretty and peaceful to walk around.

The washing machine was good but the dryer could do with replacing as it is not very powerful and took £6. 00 to nearly dry my clothes.

I would stop here again if I was visiting Bridgenorth or the surrounding area.

The site was beautifully landscaped with an attractive lake in the middle. Because it was September we’d booked a hard standing, but the grass pitches looked well drained and immaculate.

All the staff members were friendly and helpful. There is quite a busy road running past the site, so access is good, but if you want to have peace and quite, choose a pitch on the other side of the lake.

It’s a bit of a walk to the toilet block, but well worth it because the lake is beautiful. The town of Bridgnorth is set on the river Seven.

It is well worth exploring. We only stayed on this site for two nights as we had arranged to meet up with friends to go canoeing down the River Seven.

The canoe trip was great, a few miles like poo sticks down the river and then return on the Seven Valley Railway back to town.

Look up Canoe UK. Highly recommended.

Nice site with great facilities and very friendly staff. Found the shop a bit sparse but this was one of our first trips in the 'van and we needed a few bits and bobs, bit concerned that they hadn't heard of the massive camping shop in Cosford, went to another site and while they couldn't help me were more than happy to point me to the camping shop - would have expected a site to know the local camping competition.

Could have done with another shower/toilet block - being disabled it was a long way to walk from the far side of the lake to the central complex.

Apart from that we did really like the site, honest! Well positioned, not too far from anywhere, Bridgnorth really nice town with some great eateries.

Would recommend to others.

What can we say that hasn't been said before.

The site is just about as good as you can get!

It is very easy to understand why it wins many awards.

Decent location, immaculate site and a shower/toilet block which you could eat your dinner off any of the surfaces.

Very helpfully staff, good size pitches, well groomed gounds, good shop.

With their super pitches you can even get satellite tv piped to your tv unit.

It's not the cheapest site that we have ever visited with an average night stay for a family of four at about £30, but it's worth it.

The only improvement that any member of my family has asked for, is for a sea-saw or roundabout in the (small'ish park).

Would we visit again? (we have done many times)

Lovely site with a lake, everything is well cared for, clean facilities and very friendly helpful staff. The site is a couple of miles out of the attractive town of Bridgnorth, so we walked into town but caught the bus home due to the steep road back.

Bridgnorth itself is a very picturesque, bustling, historic market town set on two levels. After looking round the antique auction shop in the low town we caught the funicular railway up to the high town (£1. 20 return); and there is quite a lot to see up there besides the outstanding view. With it being Saturday we went around the two separate markets and then looked at the historic church square with it's informative plaques before walking across to the other side of town to the castle ruins (a lovely place for a picnic or to eat your fish & chips etc). This is not a place for serious shoppers who prefer large retail outlets but there are plenty of lovely small shops to browse around.

My husband and myself will definitely be back and would recommend both the camp site and beautiful surroundings to anyone.

A lovely site, beautifully kept with excellent facilities and friendly staff.

We stayed in the adult only section and found the site very peaceful. Great wildlife with lots of birds and we particularly enjoyed the visits from the ducks, pea cock and pea hens.

Shower block is very clean and the showers are powerful with plenty of hot water.

A great place to stay to explore Bridgnorth, the Severn Valley Railway and the surrounding area, we would definitely stay here again.
