Lovely site with a lake, everything is well cared for, clean facilities and very friendly helpful staff. The site is a couple of miles out of the attractive town of Bridgnorth, so we walked into town but caught the bus home due to the steep road back.
Bridgnorth itself is a very picturesque, bustling, historic market town set on two levels. After looking round the antique auction shop in the low town we caught the funicular railway up to the high town (£1. 20 return); and there is quite a lot to see up there besides the outstanding view. With it being Saturday we went around the two separate markets and then looked at the historic church square with it's informative plaques before walking across to the other side of town to the castle ruins (a lovely place for a picnic or to eat your fish & chips etc). This is not a place for serious shoppers who prefer large retail outlets but there are plenty of lovely small shops to browse around.
My husband and myself will definitely be back and would recommend both the camp site and beautiful surroundings to anyone.

A lovely site, beautifully kept with excellent facilities and friendly staff.
We stayed in the adult only section and found the site very peaceful. Great wildlife with lots of birds and we particularly enjoyed the visits from the ducks, pea cock and pea hens.
Shower block is very clean and the showers are powerful with plenty of hot water.
A great place to stay to explore Bridgnorth, the Severn Valley Railway and the surrounding area, we would definitely stay here again.

Stanmore Hall touring park is simply the best. Arrived and noticed right away it is a well organised site. Reception staff very friendly and helpful and a member of staff gave advice on where to park the van and also not to block the pond view for the other residents on site. The site is relaxed and friendly and the reception, shop and shower facilities immaculate. Everything that you would expect from a 5 star site. The resident peacocks are not that bad only woke me up once at 8 in the morning, and the owl at night was lovely to hear in the still of the night. Bridgnorth is a lovely town with best fish n chip shop ever (top of the cart way )the castle ruins are a must see. There is so many things to see and do locally that we would have liked to stay longer Much Wenlock, Ironbridge lovely little towns. Overall this was our first visit to Shropshire and what a beautiful county it is.

Took my new tent (a change from the motorhome!)very nice campsite as everyone agrees. Basically I think you only get what you pay for. I read lots of reviews about lots of campsites in a 20mile radius. The price (as a non member) with a tent was a bit on the expensive side but you couldn't fault any of the facilities or the staff; the showers/toilets were spotless; & the washing up facilities. My only gripe was my pitch was by a young family although they left a lot later that night. The grass pitch was firm well drained the basic pegs went into the ground no trouble at all. Not far from many places to visit. Bridgnorths OK; park next to sainsburys its only £1 for 2 hours;i went to severn valle country park at alvely(6miles away) great for bike rides & walking;on saturday is the bootsale at 'the rabbit run'about 7miles towards wolverhampton; also I found stanmore country park about a mile up the road on the way back from the bootsale. On the fri night I had about 3 hours of rain/thunder/lightening;the tent stood up well to the weather and in the morn (sat) the grass outside was almost dry with the early sun on it. I'd go to stanmore again & take the motorhome next time for a change.

Booked as a last minute option. A little on the expensive side at £35 per night (Caravan, awning, 2 adults, 2 kids & 1 dog)
Beautifully set out site with lots of wildlife.
Toilet blocks immaculate.
Only downside was that it seemed to be ruled with a rod of iron (The dog ran out of the caravan & the warden came straight over. Also, they are very precise about how you pitch your caravan)
On the whole a nice site which I would go back to.

We stayed at this site over the last weekend in June. We arrived mid-afternoon on the Friday and were greeted by a warm welcome and a slick check-in procedure.
We were given a map with the highlighted route to our pitch and our toilet block key. The site is very well laid out and the pitches are flat and level.
The site is very clean and very well maintained. The toilet block is large with plenty of toilets, showers and sinks.
The showers are high pressure and very hot, so be careful with the temperature gauge on the shower. The washing up area is spacious and has a lovely view out over the lake.
There is lots of wildlife around the park, we saw frogs, water hens, ducks, bats and of course the resident peacock and pea hen.
We used the site as a base for exploring Ironbridge which is close and easy to get to.
The on site shop was well stocked with camping essentials and daily newspapers are available on a first come first served basis.
We would not hesitate to use this site again, a very enjoyable stay.

This is a lovely site, well laid out in various areas, hard standing, grass, with EHU etc. Some pitches are arranged around the large lake in the centre of the park.
The facilities block was large and spotlessly clean, with plenty of hot water. The washing up room overlooking the lake.
The staff were exceptionally friendly, nothing was too much trouble.
There is a children's play area in one corner and an adults only area in the opposite corner.
This is a lovely site and caters for everyone.

We wanted to visit Bewdley, Bridgnorth and Ironbridge and found this site to be conveniently situated for all three.
The site was well laid out, with a lake (no fishing allowed) and nearby woods and parkland to walk round.
The toilets were immaculate and the showers easy to use with plenty of hot water.
The staff were very friendly and informative and the shop well stocked.
Bridgnorth is a beautiful, old Market Town, well worth visiting. Ironbridge is surrounded by many museums - we particularly liked Coalport, and we bought a special Passport, which allows us free entry into the local museums for a year.
We would recommend The Brewery Inn at Coalport for their excellent food and service.

Just visited Stanmore for a long weekend celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary, we requested a lake view full service pitch (to treat ourselves) we were not disappointed. It has been six years since we last visited this site and have previously stayed in both tents and caravan and have always found it to be a good, friendly, well kept site.
The ablutions have been updated since our last visit, they are spotless (as is the whole site), no queuing and no push buttons in the showers. Plenty of hot water and able to set your own temperature.
It is good to see the wildlife, but you need to look were your walking around the lake as you may step into little duck/peacocks parcels.
Lovely walks from the site, across the road is Stanmore Country Park, we walked into Bridgnorth and back. It is rather hilly, but there are buses. Bridgnorth is well worth a visit, very scenic views from top of the cliff railway. Plus plenty to see in the area.
Will not wait as long as 6 years before we visit again.

Easter bank holiday weekend. Cold, snow on the ground but still a good weekend.
Campsite is well looked after. The shower and toilette block was clean and water was super hot so don't change the setting!. Even better was that all the block was open unlike the other site from this group we visited at ludlow.
Site was busy and grass pitches were cramped. In fact all pitches seemed to be close together with an odd rule of car, van, awning which meant you parked your car outside your neighbours awning.
Also be warned the electric was not adequate for the number of pitches they have. On the first night they lost a phase which cut power to a number of vans. Next day they had signs up asking you to use your 12v where possible. Not being funny but at over £30 a night I would expect them to sort the electric out to allow for the number of vans they want to cram on.
Staff on arrival and throughout were helpful and welcoming.
Play area was small but adequate and older kids can ride their bikes around.
Nothing outstanding and would go to ludlow first if in the area again only because it is a better town than bridgenorth.
