Great campsite in a lovely, peaceful location.
Camping field is great, family and dog friendly.
Facilities really good, especially morning coffee and croissants from the shop.
Only criticisms would be steep and bumpy entry car-parking which would be problematic in bad weather and not enough showers.

Beautiful views and although busy was peaceful. Friendly staff and very helpful. Only downside was not enough showers.
I would definitely go back to this site.

Lovely campsite with excellent facilities. Family friendly. Good location.
Only quibble was with the booking site which appeared to offer a pitch with electricity but actually booked a pitch without electricity this only became evident to me once we arrived at the site.
We would recommend this camp site

I love that you can choose where to pitch. The grass is mowed and free of litter or obstacles. Clean, modern heated shower block and clean modern washing up facilities.
Extras like coffee, croissants and fire pits very welcome. A great site that gets the balance between laid back and organised just right.
Lovely atmosphere with a wide range of campers and lots of walking nearby, to suit all levels. Quiet after 10. 30 which was appreciated.
Looking forward to trying the camping pods in the winter.

Third stay at Catgill Farm and really enjoyed it, can't wait to go back.
Always a nice atmosphere and respect for the camp rules.
Really close to Bolton Abbey which is great on a nice summers day.

Lovely looking site, good facilities. Nice warm showers which are always welcome after a night in front of a campfire. Hosts were friendly and left us alone which we liked.
The little shop had any extras we needed, however the cafe wasn't open at all during the stay which was a shame. Spent a day walking around Bolton abbey which was beautiful and gave us the chance to finally tire our young labrador out as he got to swim in the river.
Would definitely come back again.

Lovely staff and facilities very clean and lovely hot showers which were a god send - I think we chose the coldest windiest nights to stay which wasn’t ideal being a single mum with a 10 and 12 year old.
We were on pitch 10 EHU which is at the very top of the hill and perfect for the block but meant the hill was too steep to play ball games on although they did try. We saw pics of streams and forest areas but there was no forest area that we found just a little stream at the bottom of the hill but too far for mine to explore and wander out of view. Perfect location to walk to the
Abbey and money tree trail - well worth the walk with stunning views. I was hoping there would be some late night drinkers I could gate crash but everyone seemed to be lights out very early it was very quiet (but it was cold) amazing to wake up to the sounds of all the wildlife and a couple of ducks visited our tent too :).
The fire pit was brilliant and The kids loved it - great for safely warming your toes on a cold night.
Make sure you take water containers because the only water taps are at the block and there are no drains by the pitches and porta loos have to be emptied in the main toilets.
Overall a lovely site with a little shop for snacks and helpful friendly staff. The hill was workable although I nearly killed my car dragging my trailer to the top. I would recommend for location to the Abbey walks and hesketh farm but for me I just needed more area for the kids to explore and build dens x

Our family really enjoyed the site fantastic facilities and staff that made you feel welcome and went out of their way to meet your needs and make for a fantastic stay.
In addition the location of the site was perfect for local attractions. I would recommend this site and we will be returning as a family.

We stayed at the Luxury Timber Pods at Catgill for two nights and had a fantastic time. Care has been taken to furnish the pods to a really high standard.
The fire pits double as a pizza oven and bbq, and they even supply a corn popping pan and marshmallow skewer.
An excellent location for visiting Hesketh Farm and Bolton Abbey. A short drive to Billy Bobs, Embsay Railway and the Minature Railway at Bolton Abbey. We’d definitely visit again.

My 4th time staying at Catgill and it won’t be our last. We love it here.
The site itself is basic, with little to offer by way of amenities, but what it has is excellently maintained, spotlessly clean and managed with a smile.
In the heart of the Dales, a stones throw from Bolton Abbey and Billy Bobs Ice Crram Parlour, and Hesketh Farm, it’s a treat to wake up hear each morning.
Toilets, showers and washing up area are always clean and in great condition.
The fire pits are fantastic.
This is the first time I’ve been since the clamping area has been open, so I wonder if this will start to mean more investment in other parts of the site?
The addition of a small kids play area would not be a bad thing to consider.
Will be back in the summer.
