Daughter was in a static for a week on this site so we went to join them for 3 nights midweek in the m/home
Very clean site with a large well kept toilet block (mind you I only used the showers very early in the morning when normal people were still in bed)
You can pick your own pitch to a degree and we even moved to take advantage of more sun.
There is a well stocked shop, a good chippy and a bar that serves food (didn't try it) the club is typically Haven and that means the grandkids loved it. All the staff are friendly and helpful and the children's entertainers are better than usual with the kids. Drinks prices are just the same as at home (unusual)
There are both indoor and outdoor pools and both are well kept and busy and there are a couple of play areas as well
Only down side is if you are in a motorhome expect to have to use it to get about as site is a little remote but this wasn't a problem to us due to son in laws car
All in all a good haven site

Very nice warm welcome, the staff were very helpful and polite. This is our first Haven visit and our last. Not our cup of tea as we were pitched up near the toilets (my mistake). The pitch was on dust.
Very reasonable priced with first class toilet block. We felt crammed in on our pitch even though we only have a pop top. A good tip is ask to be parked in the trees by the very helpful site wardens.
Lots of happy campers there and would recommend to friends with kids if we had any. Ducks, rabbits and squirrels all running about so bring some nuts. Plenty to do and see with a nice indoor pool. We left after the first night but had paid for four (our loss and not a lot)
Good value for money

This site was one of the best we've stayed on in 7 years of camping. We stayed 4 nights. The staff were very friendly and the site was very well kept. There was plenty to do for adults and children alike.
The toilets were very clean. There was a chippy and the oasis bar (which we ate in daily and were never disappointed). We were in the trees so it was like camping in the woods, but a short walk away there were two pools two bars an arcade and well stocked shop.

I stayed here with my daughter in law, grandson and his friend. Plenty for children to do, swimming pool very clean. Did not use the bars so cannot comment. All staff very helpful and courteous.
Toilets seemed to be cleaned all the time, and thoroughly between 1.00pm and 2.00pm. Daughter in law is a wheelchair user after having a leg amputated, the disabled toilet had a little ridge on the door which she found difficult to manoeuvre over and the shower was difficult to get in and out. She did eventually manage, but it took a lot out of her. She was upset that she was unable to help with washing as the washing up area and launderette had a step up into it.
Would definitely take grandchildren again but was too much hard work for my daughter in law to want to go again. Shop very well stocked and not too expensive. Would not recommend the chip fryer

The park was great although we did initially miss the entrance upon arrival. When you have checked in you are met in the touring area by the warden who basically says where would you like to pitch and shows you to the area.
The layout was different to other Haven sites we have visited and they do not follow the rule of pitching no closer than 5m from your neighbour, at one point we had come back from a day out to find out we had a new neighbour and their guy ropes were interlaced with ours.
Toilet and shower block was okay there was plenty of them and you didn't have to queue for one. There are 3 sinks to wash up in and once again we didn't have to queue. All the amenities are a short walk away from the toilet block.
Site is only 10 minutes away from Great Yarmouth and there is a Tesco Express in the neighbouring village for all your groceries.
Overall it is a nice site but I'm not sure that I will go back, especially when it is busy as you will feel a bit squashed in. There are better Haven sites out there.

We have been to this site on a number of occasions over the last few years both in a campervan, static caravan and touring caravan and on every occasion we have thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
The complex is well laid out and the surroundings are lovely. It's not far from the coast if you fancy a trip out, but as we are local anyway we tend to stay put on site most of the time. We don't have any kids, but there is a great park to keep them occupied as well as tennis courts/football etc.
The entertainment is your usual cheesy holiday camp entertainment! Sit back with a drink and enjoy it for what it is.
All the staff are friendly and accommodating, both in the reception area and in the complex itself. I've never used the swimming pool but it always looks clean and very inviting, and I may take a dip on my next visit.
On our most recent visit at Easter, we were extremely impressed with the touring park wardens who, regardless of the rain, smiled constantly, were happy to chat and were also happy to save a spot for us beside our family's unit so we could be together.
Haven sites generally get a bad review, but this is definitely one of the good ones!

This site is easy to find with good access. It has all the traits of a family oriented site; kiddies play area and rides, slot machines, evening entertainment, shop, swimming pool and on site chip-bar and of course is dog owner friendly.
We have visited this site twice now. The office/site staff are friendly and helpful and the wardens directing you to your pitch will show you other pitches if you are not happy with your allocated spot.
September 2008 there was plenty of room, October 2009 was packed.
The toilet block was always kept clean and tidy with plenty of traps available (no standing crossed legged waiting); there are also several drinking water taps and grey water disposal points; but only 1 twin thunder-box disposal point.
There are several small walks on/around site; if you dog walk try along Station Road North then take River Way there is a quiet walk to Burgh Castle Marina and further.
The site pitches are hap-hazard (better than a uniformed site any day).
The TV reception is very poor.
The 2009 evening entertainment team made painful/hard work of the entertainment (lots of err’s and uhms combined with reading from scraps of paper) they should have been well rehearsed, we all know word for word the age old “we want you children to volunteer your Parents for a game” don’t we.
The bar staff do not know what some of the alcohol contents are ie Cider/fruit drinks.
The shop staff a very obliging i.E. Holding your favourite paper upon request.
The on site Chip bar is overpriced; smells and tastes like greasy Lil’s (Bless her).
The activities for teenagers is also priced on sea-side town amusement arcades (which it isn’t)
Generally the site is tidy with responsible dog owners.
This site is an ideal base for visiting East Norfolk and Suffolk and sometimes does do some super late deals; so do visit the web site regularly.

Stayed here the second week in September and got a fantastic deal on the price. Having only ever been to Norfolk once, for a day, when I was a teenager I was really looking forwards to this trip and holding high hopes for both the site and Norfolk itself. I can safely say that neither was a let down, both being excellent; Norfolk itself impressed me greatly.
The site is modest in size compared to some other Haven sites, and is nicely situated in what once was a bit of forest on the old railway line (remnants of the line can be clearly seen and offer a small walking opportunity). Whilst most of the forest has been cleared to house the static caravans, the touring section retains more trees and gives a feel of being “in the woods”.
I liked the touring section very much, and the place we were allocated to pitch our tent was very good. However, I can agree with some previous reviewers that your pitch may not be the best available as there is no uniformity to them. EHU (something I do not currently use) points looked like an issue that, in some areas, facilitated units being crammed together (or close to wheelie bins) whilst others appeared to have much more superior spacious locations. I can imagine that in peak season you may be a victim of the luck of the draw. As checking in involves reception radioing to the warden to meet you at a certain point to allocate you a pitch, it may be worthwhile going to the touring area first and checking it out for suitable pitches before visiting reception (for “tenters” at least, as I appreciate that’s more difficult when you are towing). Our warden was friendly, and I assumed would have been open to me suggesting an alternate pitch to the one he took us to given there were many free.
The touring area is fairly flat, but, due to the pine tree environment, can be short on grass in areas and prone to roots and lots of pine cones. The soil is very soft and almost powder like in places. If you have a tent a footprint is a must. Wind is not a problem as you are totally shielded by trees.
The touring facilities were average, but kept very clean throughout the day. There are plenty of toilets, washbasins and showers. Showers are of the highly annoying “push for 15 seconds of water” variety, so have to be tolerated. The pot washing room provides four sinks and hot water. Drinking water points, and waste bins, are plentiful around the touring area, although recycling bins are only in one area by the toilet block (but not far to walk from anywhere in the touring area).
The on site bar, swimming pool, amusements and “show bar” are all of standard Haven fare. I cannot comment on the “entertainment“ shows, as they are not my cup of tea, but I found the bar ok for the odd pint and meal and not really expensive – this is also where you get your ice packs frozen. The site also does the usual activities like bike hire, archery and kids club – once again, things I can’t comment as I never sampled their delights.
Location wise the site is an ideal location for exploration. Great Yarmouth and the Broads are only a short distance away. The drive to Yarmouth is about ten minutes, and the bus is every half hour from outside the site and takes about forty minutes. For those with a bit of stamina beyond the average it is about three miles walk to the river and a marina at Burgh Castle, and thus the broads.
In summary a good site in an ideal location. Price and crowding maybe an issue in peak season, but not so off peak – the price we paid was very cheap, and the site nice and peaceful. With a lovely environment to camp in, and a little different to the open field experience, I can recommend this to anyone wishing laidback camping.

Have just returned from a weeks stay at this site the weather was fantastic! we have visited quite a few haven sites but am afraid this will go bottom of list for us. The staff were absolutely brilliant always friendly whether first thing on a morning or last thing at night. Kids playground was nestled in some trees which sheltered them from too much sun and could also be seen from where we were pitched. The swimming pool was very good also and a good introduction for our 3yr old twins. Now the bad points campsite was in the middle of an housing estate so was not easy to spot also difficult to negotiate a caravan between cars lining the street. The clubhouse was a bit on the small side compared to other haven sites and this got quite full really quickly. The toilets and shower block were cleaned daily but still looked dirty afterwards. Finally the pitches themselves, we were lucky in that we got a corner pitch and had plenty of space but has others have said previously there was no order of pitching and some tents / caravans were crammed really close together, also the bins were allowed to be overflowing before being emptied. Apart from the clubhouse the other gripes could be easily sorted and if they were we would love to go back.

I like this site - it's excellent value for money! We've stayed here twice, the first time in a static caravan and then we returned for the weeked in a tent accompanied by my parents in their motorhome.
We booked a standard grass pitch without EHU and upon arrival were given the choice of where to pitch, so we chose the furthest quietest pitch we could find!
The pitches aren't marked out, which is good if you are with other people. However it did get very busy at the weekend and some areas felt extremely cramped. Also, the ground was quite uneven and stony so that wasn't great. There were a lot of midges under the trees, so make sure you have some citronella candles handy!
The toilets and showers were good and cleaned regularly, but they were quite a walk from our pitch.
The real benefit of staying here is that it has great facilities. The indoor swimming pool is basic, but clean and large enough for everyone.
The entertainment for the kids is great and they love seeing all the characters like Rory the tiger. There are also a couple of playgrounds to choose from, which are really nice.
The food is ok, but not really my kind of thing as it's all a bit processed. There is also a fish and chip van if you fancy it though.
We paid £19 for a 3 night stay in May, so overall it was well worth it and I'm definitely going back!
