We have just returned from our third camping holiday at Wild Duck and the first trip during bad weather. It has been three years since our last camping stay at the site and the area has changed very little during this time. It is a lovely site with flat clean pitches, if not a little irregular in size. We arrived late on in the afternoon and as it is first-come first-served we got one of the last few spots remaining, under trees in a woody part. The pitch was wide enough for our tent but I don't think you would have easily put a tourer and an awning in. There's only one water point that I could see, but this is fairly central. The shower block has not been updated at all over the last few years, there are plenty of showers and toilets with hot water but the showers were push controlled and you can't press the button down to keep it on so your shower stops mid-flow. There was a team of cleaners in the showers areas all day it seemed but unfortunately due to the weather as soon as they were clean the floors were covered in mud again. The entertainment is fantastic for little ones, especially during peak season. There is a chip shop which although seems expensive, the portions are large and cooked lovely. The restaurant on site is typical pub grub but would thoroughly recommend the carvery! Although the weather wasn't great, the site's qualities shone through and I would recommend this for all.

We spent 5 nights here in june. It was our second visit although sadly the weather was not good.
This is the best site we have stayed on. Clean friendly and safe. there are lots of showers and separate toilets and no matter what time you go, you are guaranteed a hot shower.
The camp fields are level. Previously we stayed without EHU at the back of the site, very secluded and quiet. This time we had EHU and was on a peculiar plot of land by the shower block. It was a triangular roundabout and we were in the middle of it! still it was very near to the toilets if a little noisy at night with the hand dryer going off all the time. Would stay further away next time.
Entertainment very child friendly, staff helpful as ever. I had to change the dates of our stay and found reception to be very helpful about it.
Plenty of nature/dog walks around the park.
Cant wait to go again and would recommend everyone tries it.

Had a great holiday here with my partner and 2 teenaged sons. We were met at the touring field by the touring warden on his golf cart, who directed us to a pitch and left without a word. Pitches were flat and level, some were shaded by trees. Some pitches were quite small, and units were allowed to be situated quite close together. Electric hookups were conveniently sited in easy reach of pitches. The toilet/shower block was well-maintained and clean- there always seemed to be a cleaner in there! The other facilities were well-used and busy, but were generally clean and well-maintained. The evening entertainment was, as others have said, mainly aimed at kids. My teenagers found lots to do, usually with other teens! Good weather for most of the week, with one rainstorm (6 hours torrential rain!) in all that time- our old Nimrod held up well. The site's supermarket was reasonably priced (as site shops go.) But Great Yarmouth is well served by the major supermarket chains. A good site for a family holiday, especially if your children are pre-teens- my 2 boys (15 &13) seemed to make their own entertainment much of the time.

Arrived at camp on the 7th july 07, after the storms, first impression was good. Its a wooded area mainly, nice flat areas, some of the people that was there before us, said that the week during the storms had been bad, but must say the week we had was excellent. Had a couple of showers but nothing to spoil the occasion.
The club on site is what you expect from a haven camp, catered for the kids mainly, seeing we didnt have any with us this time so cant really comment on that. The entertainment after 10 at night was more for the adults really, good cabaret. Beer not to pricey, food was ok good chippy on site.
Shower blocks were really clean, they were cleaned at least twice a day, I never once had to queue up for a shower. All the staff there was very nice and polite, so the only down side I can think of is, it could do with another few water points. Camp was kept very clean there was always someone on thoose golf carts cleanning up. Too many speed bumps they were a pain, reception was very helpful. Oh nearly forgot, we seen a few police officers either cycling around the touring field or walking round, they were always doing this so that made us feel very reassuring, didnt know police officers could walk nowadays.
All in all a very nice family orientated camp highly recommended by me, will go again next year, to ffar to go more than that lol.

Having visited this site off peak we found about fifty caravans/Tents. We all had plenty of space and the weather was fantastic. The site was very clean and plenty of things to do to keep our children amused. The entertainment was also very good. The showers were hot and the toilets were cleaned regularly. Bearing in mind comments about overcrowding on this site we certainly had no complaints.

Stayed here for a weekend with my 10 year old son and his friend. It was fairly quiet so we had plenty of space but the pitches were not marked out in any way so I would imagine it is a bit of a free for all at peak season. There was only one shower / toilet block to serve the touring section, but no complaints about the cleanliness. The touring section is very near to the main shopping, pool and entertainment facilities which was a plus. The Haven sites I have visited are very good value for money considering what you get and wild Duck is no exception. I would return, but not in the peak season. Outside of the site there is plenty to do and see and Great Yarmouth has a lot to offer.

On arrival you are met by Ivan in his golf buggy, he will take you to your pitch and have a chat. The pitches are level and most are set amongst the trees. The ground is sandy so it drains well. The toilets/showers are plentiful and clean. There are several playgrounds around the site to suit all ages, the park has 2 pools an indoor and outdoor. Entertainment is great for the kids and the food on site is good (bit pricey). My only gripe about this site is that the pitches are fairly close together. Overall a good site and my kids love it, we will be returning soon.

Stayed at this site for the Whitsun Bank Holiday week. We arrived right on the 12 noon check in time and were directed to the camping area. Despite being early, I got the impression that people that know the site had got there early and got the best pitches. We had booked months earlier so I did expect to have a decent pitch reserved for us. Gentleman who was allocating the pitches did not even ask us where we wanted to go but just pointed at an area by the toilet block and zoomed off on his quadbike quickly before we could ask what the options were. The pitches were not marked out and it was a very jumbled area with electric hook ups apparently randomly spaced. I feel that as we have a smaller 14ft van we were pushed into what was really a tent pitch. The main caravan pitches were down amongst the trees and I saw several caravans who arrived after us being directed to this area . As it happened, it was a blessing we were on the pitch we had because it did not flood like some of the ones under the trees in the appalling rain storms. The shower/toilet blocks were kept clean although being pitched next to them meant that people coming back from the club house late at night woke us up with the shouting and swearing at each other and the kids. At least when it was raining they did not hang about too long. Good facilities for the kids such as an all weather surface playground and swimming pool. Its a nice site but could be greatly improved if the pitches were better marked out and reserved at time of booking. The surrounding area is lovely, loads of places to eat out and attractions from Zoos, stately homes to museums.

Brilliant holiday we had here. The only downside are all the flies but this is because of all the tree's which make the campsite what it is beautiful. The pitches are flat and clean. The toilets and showers were cleaned twice a day and were the cleanest I have seen. The park areas are great for all ages and the pools both in and out are lovely. There is a club room which we never went in as we prefered the pub also on site across from the clubhouse. We had a meal in the pub one night and it was really good would recommend it to anyone. We actually had a family meal deal and it was a really good price. I'd highly recommend this site to anyone with children of any age.

We spent 4 night here at the end of August. Toilets were kept clean, nice play areas and good entertainment. The site was very busy so space was at a premium. A handy tip if you have young children you can get a key for the disabled toilet/shower which has a baby change also the shower head comes of the wall and you can adjust the temperature. We enjoyed it and have booked to go again. For a good day out for under six would highly recommend petits farm discounted tickets are available from reception
