Just spent a week here with two pre-teen boys.
Good size pitch, surrounded by trees which was lovely for shade, but did mean the sap etc. from the trees covered the tent and got inside everywhere. Ground was very hard and sandy / dusty.
I had a few problems with the showers, the first few days too hot to stand under, seemed to me that the system couldn't cope with showers and toilets being flushed at the same time.
Tried the restaurant once for breakfast and was totally disappointed.
The onsite chip van was better, but then again not fantastic.
Don't think we would go again, too expensive for us.

Went for a 3 night stay after reading some decent reviews about this park.
Easy to find with well sign posted roads on approach. Pull over area while you check in and then taken to warden by a very helpful member of staff who gave my children a lift in her golf buggy!
Went to 2nd field (1st is very close to play area and evening entertainment so quite noisy until about 1am) Nice size pitch and very nice setting amongst trees. Only downside is the freeview tv reception was rubbish!
The site is nicely set out, good play area for kids, indoor pool, amusements etc
The food, however is not recommended - we had a sunday carvery and I have to say it wasn't nice at all. Mostly seemed to come from packets, was overcooked and had been standing too long.
We also had an evening meal and my son found a bug on his fish finger - they took it away and re-cooked it (so they said) but he was put off by then so they happily gave us a refund on his meal.
The showers are hot but the jet only lasts 15 seconds so you have to keep pressing it sand they do smell a bit like rotten eggs (mainly because there's a drain running through the middle)
The entertainment was okay, best for little ones, although some of the shows were quite good. Get there early to get a seat as it fills up quickly although the families with younger children do tend to go about 10.30 and it goes on until about 12.30 - 1am
Overall it is a nice site and only about 5 miles to Great Yarmouth and plenty to do there - we will go again but will just cook our own food!

This was a last minute booking due to the weather further north. Check in was easy and done by a very friendly and imformative lady. I was directed to drive past the swimming pool and was met by a chap on a golf buggy. He showed me a number of vacant pitches, there were several near the shower block but this was next to the childrens play area and so I passed as I did want a little peace. I found a lovley pitch sheltered but not under the trees and a 2 min walk from the showers. The setting is lovely all pine trees. My only critisism would be that you are packed in quite close together. The shower block was clean with hot water and clean toilets. You do have to press the button in the showers for a 15 second burst of water which is a pain when you have a head full of shampoo, but to be honest after the first day I didnt even mind.
There is an indoor and outdoor pool, I didnt use either but they looked great. The entertainmment is geared up for people with young familys, but the beauty of a site like this is you dont have to use the facilitys if you dont want to. I stayed 5 days and paid less than 50.00 with an electric hook up. I thought it was a good deal for a nice clean site. I would go again

Arrived on site to find a touring pull over area to allow us to go and sign in with reception and collect the information pack. They directed us where to go and meet the warden. Drove round the corner to find him waiting for us and took us over to the further touring field. My advice is unless you really need to be close to the toilets etc and you are not against a 2 minute walk then go to the further field as this is a lot quieter than the 1st. The pitch was a good size, plenty of room for the van, awning and the car all side by side. The van was set in the a pine forest type environment and is quite a nice setting. The only gripe with the 2nd field is the chemical disposal point is back over where the toilets and showers are but the walk will do you good. The showers are a little basic and the shower curtain wraps round you like cling film but they were always clean and stocked so you really can not complain. The site itself is not a large concrete jungle like other haven sites and is quite sypethetic to the surroundings, well as best it can. Quite a nice bar and entertainment area with plenty for the kids. Swimming pool on site is ok, not many slides, only the one, and not in use most of the time so an hour in the pool is enough.
Beer not too bad, about a tenner for a 4 pint pitcher of lager etc. Never tried the food on site as yarmouth is a 10 min drive just down the road. Summary, good site, good for the kids, it is not like the other haven sites -- But I did go out of season, in season I can imagine it will be my version of hell.
Definitely recommend out of season, in peak season I don't know?

My wife and I have just come back from a 4 night break at Wild Duck.
What a nice park. We arrived and greated by a lovely lady at reception (unlike at a Park Resorts site last month). Shown to our pitch with EHU by a lovely park warden and our pitch was in the wooded area which was so nice.
The toilets and showers were not too far away and spotless. The shop on the site is well stocked. We didn't eat in the cafes or bars but the Fish and Chip Van is excellent and a must. I tried the curry and chips mainly because we had seen it on the caravan channel and they are excellent.
Their is plenty for the children to do with swimming pools and kids clubs.
We paid £32 for the 4 nights on their deals page on the web site and it was great value for money. Highly recommended

Just returned from 4 night break at wild duck
One of the best and cheapest holidays we have had £16 ! plus we had electric hook up
Toilets and showers very clean, always a cleaner about most of the day!
Bar and club house very good, lots to do for the kids, our four year old loved meeting all the characters, food and drink is good all at a resonable price £2.65 for a pint of gaymers pear cider which I love !
Swimming pool was excellent and the water lovely and warm
Staff on the campsite were very friendly
Cant wait to return, have booked holiday for next year, staying in caravan this time £112 for 7 nights which I think is a bargain !
Wild duck gets 10/10 from us

My Husband and I have literally just returned from Wild Duck (OH is still unpacking the camping gear) and I couldnt wait to tell you what a great time we had!
This was our first camping trip not to mention our first time at any of the Haven Holiday Sites and we were extremely impressed.
We got there at 10.40am after leaving at 7.30am and after a long drive dived for the nearest loos which were clearly sign posted in the nearest bar (The Barn Bar). We then went across to reception and was greeted by a very polite, helpful not to mention cheerful 'girl' who couldn't help us enough. We were told to go meet the guy on the golf buggy who would show us which pitch we could have.
After putting the tent up we looked at the map in the information 'envelop' given to us at reception and got our barings.
We then decided to wander further a field and got the sat nav to show us the way to Great Yarmouth Seafront which was only 15min drive away. A fantastic place for that all important british seaside atmosphere. Lots of arcades, food outlets, bars and restaurants. There is also horse and carriages and a train which takes people on rides up and down the seafront.
The next morning the showers were clean and empty as we got there quite early. We found them clean and tidy and well equiped.
The pitches are lovely and the one we stayed on (pitch 27,which was ironic as today is my DH's 27th birthday!) was lovely as it was under some trees and felt like you were pitched in the woods.
Last night we went to the restaurant and tried the food. DH had chicken and chips which he said was lovely and I had chilli potato skins which were delicious and for main course I had cheese and leek pasta bake with garlic bread which was lovely also, plenty of food and well priced.
While we were eating they were setting up the carvery and also served curry and sweet and sour chicken.
The menu of course had a lot more. We did take fancy to the big breakfast for £2 something but we just didnt have time this morning.
We then went over to the show bar for bingo which was a pleasure and the winnings were good too! After, we watched the children dance with the characters of Haven.
Although it says the pitch must be empty by 10am there were still people JUST taking their tents down at 9.45am.
We are talking of going in July but think we have left it too late to book now but will DEFINATELY return soon!

What can I say, What a fantastic site.
The pitches are well spaced out and flat, the showers and toilets were nice and clean with sockets for your hairdryer.
We woke up every morning to see ducks and baby rabbits around our tent which the kids loved.
The swimming pool was great. It was shallow enough at one end for my 5 year old to stand up without being too shallow for the rest of us and the water was lovely and warm. There are steps at both ends of the pool to get into the water.
The kids entertainment was good, my kids didn't want to come home.
The childrens playgrounds again was really good with plenty of different pieces of equipment for the kids to play on.
Also the prices of food and drink was fairly reasonable.
Staff were friendly.
I wish all sites were like this one.

We stayed at Wild Duck Haven Site in Belton from 17th May - 23rd May 2008 in Tourer Caravan.
Overall the site was wonderful and staff helpful
We found it disappointing that you couldn't reserve/book a pitch as my mum was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer and we wanted to be close to the disable toilets. We were told to just turn up and their staff will do their best to site us near one. Pitches aren't clearly marked out and you are left to judge where you think you should go.
Entry to the site and many attractions was by Haven passes which are issued when booking in.
The entrance is manned by security and a barrier made us feel safe to go off-site in the evenings.
It was only after setting up did we realise that we needed a RADAR key for the disabled toilets and were charged a deposit for this (we weren't told this when booking or checking in).
There are a few disabled toilets dotted around the site and putting us near the Sports Courts turned out to be a blessing for my 5 yr old son, but so much noise during football sessions that lasting until 8pm most days meant that I often wished we had seen a map of the site sooner and chose another pitch.
The site itself was huge and beautiful with lots of tall trees that made you think there were only about 10 caravans around.
The childrens play areas was nice but badly designed slides.
The showers were lovely and hot with a good force to them but push button type which lasted seconds each push and were not adjustable so were too hot for my son and we ended up filling a basin for him.
The cleaners were regularly cleaning the toilets and showers even though some people started stealing the shower curtains and chairs during our stay.
There is a laundry room which you need tokens & detergent from the onsite shop or reception sold tokens too.
The toddlers pool was very shallow, sitting down it reached my waist so I had to go into the main pool which got crowded by parents in the shallow end.
Pool Designers need to realise that you can't hold a child safely in water if your feet can't touch the ground.
I was disappointed that there were no steps (just a ladder) leading down into the main pool as I was hoping my mum could go for a paddle with us, she would never have let them use a hoist.
You need 20p for the lockers - this isn't stated in the welcome pack or by the staff and luckily I was given 20p by another swimmer.
For the money you pay for staying - I would have expected a hairdryer in the changing rooms.
There were lots of activities onsite throughout the day for nearly all ages of children and the magician in the showbar was fantastic and adults and kids loved him.
I really enjoyed out evenings in the ShowBar and they were very helpful with opening doors when I was pushing the wheelchair. Family Bingo was great fun for all.
The only time staff weren't helpful was when my camera which I had got the month before as a wedding gift - was stolen from the showbar as my husband went to talk to my son near the stage.
It had photo's of my Mum's last holiday and it was only after I phoned the police when we returned home and asked Haven for the 4th time if it had turned up, did they suggest checking the CCTV.
There is a well stocked shop on-site and a really nice fish and chip van that is permanently there - they seem expensive but serve good size portions.
The restaurant/bar food served was excellent and good value for money. The staff always served with a smile.
Anybody wanting to see the size of the yorkshire that my sausage and mash came in can email me for a photo - it was huge!
Crazy-golf and other stuff too for a moderate fee.
I would probably visit this site again but I would keep valuables in sight or around my neck.
Overall the site was wonderful and staff helpful but our stay was spoiled by our camera getting stolen and a 'unhelpful' attitude by reception.

Stayed at this site last summer if you can call it that. When we arried it were thundering and lightning as well as peeing it down lol. It did this everyday we stayed except the last day, just our luck.
It were our first camping trip and quite enjoyed it considering the weather. Nearby there where all the big shopping places which were good to buy food etc. The Norfolk broads are about 7 miles away and after pleading with the girlfriend we went on for a few hours. Took a picnic and stuff but found it quite boring. Great Yarmouth is about 4 miles with its excellent beach when the sun came out.
Back to the campsite, The shower block was a bit outdated showers where push type and a couple only lasted about 30 secs before you'd have to press again.
Pitches are of a good size managed to pitch the tent and park the car on the pitch which were good.
When we arrived our neighbours kept staring while we pitched the tent which I really hate and were quite noisey at night - that I think were the only downside.
