Just returned from a lovely stay at this clean and well organised campsite. We stayed in our folding camper in the bottom field which was really nice. It was close to the road (couldn't see it but could hear a little road noise)with plenty of room for the children to play.
There is also a play area for the children which kept them happy.
There were 4 showers (2 male, 2 female) near to the bottom field and another shower block near the top area. There was a bit of queuing for the showers as the campsite was pretty full.
Also the push button for the water meant the water was only on for a couple of seconds but it wasn't a problem.
The showers and toilets were kept spotlessly clean at all times.
There were another couple of campsites close by, but we were so pleased not to have chosen these as they are really close to pylons which I absolutely hate.
Really handy campsite for nearly attractions:
Rhyl suncentre,
LLandudno ski centre, great orme cable cars,
50 mins to Greenwood country park and betws y coed. We had a great time and would recommend

Our first trip to Plas Farm in North Wales was for a weekend at the end of June 2012. The weather all over the county had been terrible with stories in the news of unprecedented amounts of rain causing flooding in various places in the preceding weeks of our trip. One notable story stuck in my mind of a caravan site on the Welsh coast needing to be evacuated by helicopter a few weeks before our trip.
With that in mind we'd been keeping an eye on the weather forecast as far ahead as we could with the thought that we would have to cancel if it looked particularly bad for the weekend we were due to go. The day before we set off, the forecast predicted rain showers but nothing torrential, so we decided we'd brave the weather and with the added excitement of staying on a new campsite and also pitching our new Bear Lake 6 for the first time, we started to pack the car.
We arrived at Plas Farm late Friday afternoon and it was raining! The staff on site were friendly and directed us to the lower field for our 2 night stay. When we got to the lower field we found it empty – which presented us with our first problem of the day – choosing a pitch! Where is the flattest? Where will we get the most shelter? Where is the best view? Decisions, decision.
We'd paid for a pitch with EHU and there were a handful of these on the lower field. After 5 minutes, we'd picked our pitch and were sat in the car staring out at the seemingly unending rain and black clouds as far as the eye could see, wondering if it was ever going to ease. We decided it probably wasn't going to ease any time soon and donned waterproofs and braved the weather to pitch the tent.
The lower field really is 'lower'. Everything else on site is a level or two higher up. The nearest shower block (and toilet) was at the top of a flight of steps which was reached, from the lower field, through a gate and via a path through some trees. The path was narrow with a large tree root sticking out but was well lit at night to help ensure you didn't trip up.
The rain hardly let up all weekend and the grass all over the site was quite long which meant waterproof boots or wellies were needed at all times. The lower field also started to get a little soft under foot and a little muddy where we'd been walking in and out of the tent, but I suspect this wouldn't be an issue if the weather had been less inclement.
The EHU in the tent fields is only 5 amp which is lower than most sites we've seen, so we had to be careful about what we plugged in but we managed for the weekend with a low wattage kettle and a small number of lights.
There is a play area on site which kept the kids amused for much of the time on site. Whilst up near the play area we had a quick look at the top tent field. It's much larger than the lower field, but has only a couple of EHUs available. However, it is closer to the play area and the handy camper's kitchen which has freezers, washing machines, dryers, microwave, kettle and some tables and chairs.
The two shower blocks on site were adequate, although at peak times I suspect they may get busy. The smaller of the two blocks was closest to our field so that's the one we used the most, but the larger block was only a short walk further. Each had a covered pot washing area outside too.
Although we didn't use the facility, you can leave an order for basic groceries at reception and they will be delivered the following day. If you need more, Abergele is only a few miles away which has a Tesco. There is a pub in the local village which is about a mile away but we didn't get chance to visit.
If you're just looking to use the site as a base to go out exploring, the A55 is not far away which will allow you to get to lots of attractions in North Wales.
Despite the rain we had an enjoyable weekend on a nice site. Thankfully, the rain let up just enough to let us get the tent packed away and the car loaded up in the relative dry.
The price for the pitch for the weekend was extremely reasonable which helps with the 8 star rating we're giving this site. I'm sure we will be back again and will probably ask for the lower field again too.

A very professionally run site. We booked and received a confirmation email etc.
Lovely playground. We didn't explore the site much, but I think there are some gardens, or a nice walk within the site.
Nice loos. We went for a ¨superpitch¨ and I think the closeness to these loos was the benefit of this. I overheard someone saying they were nicer than the other ones, but I didn't check!
The other benefit of the ¨Superpitch¨ @ £22. 50 per night was a water tap beneath the electricity point. However, it was a solid tap 4inches off the ground so we couldn't use it anyway.
This is a gorgeous area to explore. And there are lots of things to do. Finding this site was a challenge, both nights, but the drive back into the town in the daytime was filled with some stunning views and it might not be so challenging in daylight. Lots of narrow uphill lanes - campervan made it through, but I wouldn't fancy towing a caravan.

Just got back from a week at plas farm, our first week away in the touring caravan
The owners are extremely helpful and the facilities are excellent and very clean. They have everything from showers to a kitchen, all very clean
The surrounding views are lovely, can also hear the farm life (sheep, cows, owls) during the day
Also good for children, big park and field for ball games.
Would highly recommend to caravan and tent owners. Thank you for a lovely stay. Will be back again many times in the future

Just returned and would love to go straight back. Very spacious site built on various levels separating permanent vans, tourers and tents.
We stopped in the bottom field which was sheltered and very spacious. There is a gate past the well fenced pond to the loo block, burnt off any camping calories going up and down the steps, so if you are less able or have small kids ask for the upper fields.
The kids loved the play area and the space they were allowed to play.
The campers kitchen was a real bonus with a microwave, toasters, kettle, large freezer and two huge fridges. We used the washing machine and tumble dryer, the kettle was very good for quick hot water bottle and flask filling. There was also a very good information point in here, including details of takeaways that deliver to
Site. A lot warmed up meals in here and sat at the tables for shelter on rainy night. There are also ppugs points ideal for charging phones etc.
The toiler blocks are very clean, as per the previous review there could be more facilities for the campers. The large toilet block is by the caravans and the small block with just two toilets per sex is by all the campers, seems to be in the wrong order. There is also only one sink point for the campers as well within easy access.
I used the wire less, £20 per week, very weak in the bottom field but did allow contact with the outside world due to some very poor phone signals.
The site owners are very friendly and they gave lots of advice and ideas for things to visit locally.
The site is very well located for access to the North and West coast.
Tescos and Morrisons are within 10/15 minutes of the site and the pub in the village was very nice.
Will visit again, perfect site with very little commercialisation, but lots of peace and quiet

Just come home from first visit to plas farm. And have no complaints. Set in beautiful surroundings, well organised from arrival. Somebody takes you to your pitch on arrival and gives you leaflet with all info needed.
Brilliant for dog, woodland walk on site with little stream and lovely bridges for kids to have adventures.
Facilities were spotless, play area great, local area and walks good. Weather was shocking for us but cant wait to go back again ! lovely site with lovely friendly feel.
Only one sink for doing dishes near camping. So could be a queue at busy times.
Has fab campers kitchen with microwave, toaster, kettle, and fridge freezers which are very handy. Also laundry facilities too.
Plenty of local information available on walks etc. Lovely pub in the village.

Excellent spot, good serviced pitches with plenty of room. The owners were very accommodating and friendly. Toilets/ showers to a high standard, very clean. They had a microwave and freezer facilities by reception which was handy. We were a bit disappointed by the local pub being closed, but a short drive away there were some good shops.
The surrounding countryside was beautiful and it was very peaceful. Llandudno and Betws y coed were nearby.

Great location, large tent field, new looking toilet blocks, friendly welcome and was shown to pitch.
I did think there would be problems in high season for showers as there were only 5 on the site and they were adding new caravan pitches.
Could do with some water taps on tent field rather than having to go up the hill or all the way across a damp field.
Tent pitches near road can be hit noisy but it is only a b road.
Short walk to the wheat sheaf, slightly uphill, but well worth the walk. Nice welcome, log fire, nice. Selection of drinks, great food, in fact went twice,
Had lovely weekend but did think it was a caravan park first and foremost
Does have large children's play area

As new caravanners, only starting in August this year, we fancied a little weekend break at the end of half term and stumbled upon this little gem in Wales. Easy to find and only short drive from the coast, Plas farm is absolutely immaculate, Ceri the owner is very friendly and the pitches are superb (we got free upgrade to Premiere hard standing as last weekend of season) TV point is bonus as we forgot our aerial! Cable is available to loan also. Pitches are superb and the site overall is well set out. Shower block spotless, kids park great, location nice and quiet. Will definitely be booking in advance for next year. See you in March Plas Farm!

Lovely warm welcome and excellent, clean facilities. Well kitted out for families and in an idyllic setting. Both toilet blocks spotless and well stocked with toilet paper.
Always hot water and the reception area had kettle, microwave and laundry facilities. The camping area was immaculately kept and lovely and quiet.
The site offer a shopping service (bread, milk, bacon and newspaper) - did not take advantage of this but a lovely touch.
1st camping trip with our 2 year old daughter - thank you Plas Farm for making it an excellent experience.
