We have just returned from a 6 night holiday at Plas Farm, and can honestly say this is the nicest campsite we have ever stayed at. Everything from booking the pitches to our arrival and throughout our stay was excellent. I made the booking for 2 tent pitches and 2 touring caravans at the same time, and had to make a couple of alterations, but the whole process was handled very efficiently.
The toilet/shower blocks were always very clean, with ample toilet roll and soap for handwashing (which we have often found to be lacking on other campsites). The only comment we would have about the new shower block is that they could do with a few more hooks for handing towels, clothes etc in each shower cubicle, as there was only 1 hook and also a small shelf or a stool in each cubicle would also be useful.
The site itself was always very clean & tidy and the majority of other campers also respected the hard work put in by John & Sian to keep it this way.
There were several children in our party and so the play area was invaluable.
We had a meal at a local pub, The Black Lion at Llanfair, which was excellent, and highly recommended, they catered for 15 of us at short notice and the meal was faultless!
We will definitely use this site again, and will recommend to family & friends.

We have just been here for the first time. It was a lovely site to visit and I would definitely return. From the moment we arrived we were looked after and the whole 10 days we were there the people who ran the site were always busy. We were a bit apprehensive about being on a gravel pitch as we are used to being on grass, but there were no problems. It was wonderfully quiet and the toilets and showers were immaculate.
I always look on UK Campsite website reviews because I find them truthful and you can plan your trip to a site by reading some of the reviews. The reviews on Plas Farm didn't disappoint. I like sites that are in the hills as I feel my children (aged 4 & 8) can run around safely without worrying about traffic. It isn't too far from many of the attractions surrounding the North Wales coast.
I think the only thing the site could do with is maybe a little shop for the essentials, but saying that the owners were happy to get your basics from the village shop if you ordered it from then the night before. Now that's dedication! We had fresh eggs from their chickens most mornings and they were delicious. Maybe if there were some animals in some of the out buildings for the children to pet, i.E rabbits etc and maybe let the children collect the eggs in a morning that would have been nice. I really didn't want to come home, it was tranquillity in the most beautiful surroundings, we will most definitely return.

This camp was our first camping experience and if they are all as good as this then we are in for a great time. We bought all our gear and set off for Wales after picking this site of UK camping.
The site is very spacious so tents don't have to be too close. Plenty of electric hookups and water points. Staff are friendly and helpful especially to us raw beginners.
Toilets and showers are spotless, and there are sinks for washing dishes and a launderette.
There is also a children's park with a climbing frame and swings.
There is so much to do around here it would be impossible to list everything, but here's a few: The local village has a shop and a pub with real ales and good food. The main town, Abergele is only 3 miles away - plenty of shops, pubs and miles of coastline. A little further along the coast you have Colwyn Bay, Conwy, and Llandudno with the Great Orme Headland. Inland you have the whole of Snowdonia.
It was our first time here but I'm sure it won't be our last.

We spent two nights on this site and thoroughly enjoyed them. The site is in a really nice, quiet but handy spot, serving the beaches at Colwyn Bay and Llandudno nicely as well as the zoo, Conwy etc.
The Black Lion was our pub of choice and the place, food and beer were great.
The site has a very nice clean and relaxed atmosphere with lots of space around the pitches and site as a whole. If you have a tent I'd recommend the lower field but stay away from the road (keep to the flatter part nearer the showers) as it is a little noisy.
Facilities wise this site is amazing with great touches including the info leaflet on arrival and the tea and coffee making facilities along with the fridges and freezer. My only thought is that with just two showers for men and two for women there could do with being another block, possibly down in the lower field.
I'd definitely recommend this site, with some really nice pitches to be had with EHU.

Beautiful are the only words needed for this site. We were shown to our pitch by Ceri and she offered us a choice of pitches. Toilets are immaculate and cleaned at regular intervals.
Site is good for children with small areas of grass for ball games etc and additional playground.
Pub within 10/15 mins which serves very good food, maybe need to book on busy periods. Owners do a delivery service for essentials like newspapers, milk, bacon etc.
Ceri in reception is very friendly and helpful all you do is ask.
Would we go again? definitely over and over

We camped at the Plas Farm site for 5 nights in May/June 2011. We are a family with an 8 birth tent (2 adults, Children, 11, 6 & 4 and one small dog).
We highly recommend this site.
The site is very well located and an excellent base for visiting the varied attractions around the North Wales area. The local village of Betws Yn Rhos offers a small shop and a village pub. A 15 minutes drive will take you to the large Town of Abergele which has all the usual Supermarkets, Banks, shops etc.
We stayed on a pitch in the large field at the top of the farm, no fuss, no strict boundaries or markers, just directed to the field and allowed to set up in a space of our choice. There is other camping fields available in the lower part of the farm, near to the lake and the woods, these looked a little bit more secluded but involved a walk up some steps to the toilets and shower block.
The views from our camping pitch were beautiful, looking up to the Welsh hillsides, the lower camping fields missed out a little bit on the views.
The site itself is pretty much in 2 halves, the Caravans and Camper vans to one area and the tents to the surrounding fields. You can see that a lot of money has been invested in the site in recent years by the excellent standards of the toilets and shower blocks. The site has two shower blocks which we found to always be immaculate with plenty of hot running water. There are also good pot wash facilities outside both shower blocks.
The camp office provides excellent information about the local area and additional facilities such as washing machines, irons, fridge and very small freezer. We took a lap top computer and for a small fee purchased a pass code to use the Farms WI-FI (good strong signal).
Our youngest children made the most out of the children’s play area which offers a small football field and a fairly extensive wooden climbing frame and slides. The play area could be improved with the introduction of a few swings, the lack of commented on by my children on more than one occasion.
The owners are very friendly and helpful and can be seen first thing in the morning to last thing at night, if they are not in the camp office they can be found pottering around the site making sure the site is kept immaculate.
In summary, this is a very well located camp site for visiting the North Wales area. The site is well managed, the owners are very friendly and helpful and the shower and toilet facilities are top quality and immaculately cleaned.
If we were to look for improvements we would only recommend that the children’s play area is extended to include a couple of swings and that the fridge freezer be replaced to provide larger freezing facilities for the ice packs etc as we found the small freezer compartment rammed full and can only imagine that when the park is full some of the guests go without ice packs.
All in all an excellent place to stay, highly recommended. We look forward to our next visit.

Just returned home from a lovely week at Plas Farm.
Lots of different pitches now available due to the staff putting in lots of hard work and effort to extend the existing site.
Shower blocks kept clean and tidy at all times. Plenty of hot water. There has also been a recent brand new shower block built, which we had a sneak peek at which again is pristine and this new block is heated.
Childrens play area also on site and lots of picnic benches etc for you to enjoy if the weather permits.
Woodland walk available on site to take the dogs for a walk, but there are plenty of places to walk in the surrounding area.
Lots of popular seaside towns within a 10-15minute drive for you to visit and also a tesco and morrissons close by too.
Small village nearby - roughly 10 min walk. The village has a pub called the wheatsheaf which has lovely food and a village store which sells almost everything you should need.
The staff are very attentive, pleasant, friendly and professional.
We had a very windy week here and the majority of the time the pitch next to us was empty and the staff had no problems with us parking our car on the other pitch so we could protect our caravan from the wind.
Overall this site was excellent and we will definitely go back.

We have just returned from 2 night stay with our 2 young children. What a pleasant experience.
This was our first time camping with the children the facilities are spotless and we had everything you could wish for, fridge microwave washing machine etc.
Great open spaces for the children to run around and excellent play area. We will definitely be returning again.
Everywhere was very clean and tidy. A lovely quiet spot.

I am tempted to give this site a really bad write up, so no-one else wants to go, but I couldn't do that to Sian! What a fantastic site. I am notorious with friends and family about how fussy I am. This site excelled. John, Sian and Caeris were extremely helpful.
The site has only been open for 4 years and they have done so much work and should be really proud of what they have achieved.
The facilities are always clean and what we found nice was that everyone helped to keep it that way. Plenty of play area if you have children.
Only way they could have bettered it, is if it was close to a beach you can jetski from (but if that is the only thing I can think of.)
Would we go again? Oh yes we have already booked!

Just got back from a 6 day trip to Plas farm, the campsite is beautiful, with stunning views. Had a lovely welcome and was shown to our pitch by sian, we have a huge tent but this wasn't a problem at all.
The shower and toilet blocks where always clean, the park was fantastic for the kids, and the staff where lovely so friendly, little area to use washer/dryer, fridge, freezer etc and lots of leaflets with days out etc.
We had EHU and night 2 and 3 the electric failed, leaving us very cold, somebody in a tent further down had numerous heaters in their tent which stopped the generator working, but of a pain at 11pm at night with 3 young children! Sian and John did everything they could to get it sorted.
We had some great days out, the zoo, swimming, at the beach and on Easter Sunday, Sian and John put on a Easter egg hunt for the kids, which was fantastic and the Easter bunny and his chick friend appeared as well. Lovely friendly site and we would return here!
