Sorry for late review, my wife and I spent ten wonderful days over the Easter period, we were accompanied by my daughter and family, also in a caravan, and my son and his family, who were in a tent.
The weather was brilliant, which always helps. We visited this site twice last year, and found it to be very peaceful, scenic and spotlessly clean.
The owners, sian and john work tirelessly to maintain these standards and we have never met a more friendly and obliging couple of site owners.
Last year there were 30 pitches and a toilet block with two toilets and two showers. This year they have added another 30 pitches, an additional toilet block, and a play area with swings etc for the kids.
All pitches are hard standing with drainage and water laid on, and most have tv plug in on the 16 amp hook up.
The local village, which is appx half a mile away has a good pub and excellent shop. About four miles away is the lovely sea front that runs for about ten miles all the way to llandudno and beyond, in the other direction is abergele, with a tesco several pubs and eating places.
If you wish to continue you come to towyn rhyl and prestatyn, with enough to keep all families occupied.
Back on site you can relax and enjoy the hundreds of plants and shrubs that have gained sian and john, a david bellamy gold award.
I thought I had died and gone to heaven

We have just returned from a two night stay and our weekend can be described in one word, WOW!. If you follow the directions to this site from the website it is easy to find, and a warm friendly welcome is waiting.
We are a family of five with an 8 berth tent and had booked a pitch with hook up. We were told to pitch anywhere we liked so chose a spot overlooking the large pond (which is well fenced off if you have children). There is a very slight gradient here, but nothing that caused any problems and the ground was not rocky at all. As far as drainage goes we did not see any rain so couldn't comment really! There are no pitch markings so no problems with the size of our tent.
The toilet block was immaculate and cleaned regularly, with two showers in both the mens and ladies that are free of charge. There is also a new toilet block being built that will be open for Easter. We didn't have to queue at all but it was relatively quiet.
There is a laundry room complete with fridge, freezer, microwave oven, and even tea and coffee making facilities. There is no shop as such but you can order basics such as milk and bacon and they will be delivered to you the next morning.
Our kids loved the play area, it is a grassy enclosed area with a big climbing frame and a football goal that was being enjoyed by the older kids.
There is a lovely woodland walk to do on the site, complete the challenge and find the elves and gnomes!
There is a pub and shop in the local village, about a 15 min walk from site. Llandudno, Rhyl and Colwyn bay all within 20 mins by car so it is a fantastic base from which to explore.
Overall this is a fantastic site for families that has a lovely relaxed feel to it. We will definitely be returning.

We went with another family and camped in the lower field with a total of 4 adults and 6 kids. Sian was lovely and helpful and the site is quiet and peaceful, the kids enjoyed the park and the showers and toilets were spotless with loads of places to put your clothes etc when you had a shower.
We used the dog kennels on one day when we went into llandudno, and they are brill, sian also walked our dog so he was knackered when we got back. Sian was also very relaxed about what time we left so we didn't leave until 2pm on our last day. The woodland walk is lovely too.
My only criticisms are that there was a sewerage smell coming from somewhere near our tent. It seemed to us like we were near some sort of silage tank or overflow from the toilets.
We would like to visit this site again as it is a lovely quiet site for the kids and dogs.

We have just returned from a fantastic Bank Holiday break, the campsite is excellent, clean, tidy and not noisy. The owners are very friendly and booking in was quick and efficient, you even get an escort to your pitch.
There is a large camping field with plenty of electric hook up for tents. The site is safe for children and boasts a new play area, that our children told us was great fun.
Getting to and from the site proved difficult as the Welsh road signs seem to point in different directions no matter which way you turn. Conwy, Llandudno are both within a 20 minute drive.
Maybe in the future the site would benefit from additional washing up facilities, toilets and showers but this is by no means a criticism. We will definitely visit again as we enjoyed it so much.

Great, well looked after, site. Good rural location but close enough for coast and places of interest. We were sited on the lower tent site, which was pleasantly quiet during our stay. The toilet/shower block was a short walk away and was always spotless (possibly the best camping showers I have ever had).
The grounds, borders and buildings were well cared for with a 'new' feel to them and the site seems to be developing further. I hope it doesn't develop too much and spoil itself, becoming one of the sprawling sites I have visited in the past.
Linking to the site is a lovely woodland walk, great for walking the dog or children, safe and just the right length. There is a large Tesco a few miles away in Abergele and the nearby village of Betws yn Rhos sports the Wheatsheaf pub, where we got a warm welcome from the staff and good food.
We communicated with Sian via e-mail to arrange our visit and found this timely and informative.
If you want a 'get away from it all' site with good toilets and nice surroundings then this is for you. We will certainly be going back.

Just got back from our second weekend at this site this year and to be honest we're already planning to return next year. Sian and John are extremely helpful and can't do enough to help make your stay comfortable.
We stayed Fri - Mon over the August Bank Holiday
It's a nice quiet site in a beautiful setting but conveniently close to Colwyn Bay and the A55 (giving easy access to all the North Wales coast attractions and Snowdonia), toilets are very clean and although there are only a couple of showers, I always managed to get a shower without having to queue although I did go 'off peak'.
A new play facility had sprung up between visits and this was well received by our kids (Boys, 7 and 5). The owners have a facility where you can order newspapers, milk and a few other essentials which is handy.

We stayed here for 4 nights just before the august bank holiday. We arrived in the afternoon(if you miss the turning you will see tents on the field just turn around)John showed us to our pitch which was really nice, we were made to feel very welcome.
The kids enjoyed playing on the park and football field, there is a lake to walk around and have a picnic if you want, there is also a woodland walk which the kids loved.
The shower block was always kept clean. John and Sian will even go to the shop for all basic items if you leave a note in the evening its there to pick up at 8am the next day. All in all a very enjoyable stay, we will certainly be returning

This is a great site and if you want peace and quiet with fantastic views then this is the site to visit. The owners work very hard to maintain the high standards; toilets were clean at all times, the grass was well attended to, the rules were observed (dogs, ball games etc.)
There are no amenities close to hand, but that didn't bother us, Tesco was only a short drive away and the location of the site is perfect for visiting the local tourist attractions.
We couldn't get a signal on our satellite (but I think that was our fault, not the sites) and we couldn't get a phone signal (but we were aware of this from the website).
To combat these problems, we were loaned a tv cable and sky box for the tv and there was a payphone on site for visitors to use. (This was broken while we were there but even then the owner put up a sign saying you were welcome to use their phone) what more can you ask for?
If ever we are in the area again we will definitely use this site and maybe the next time we will find all the elves hiding in the wood.

Just arrived home from a stay at this very nice campsite. The campsite is very clean and toilet block facilities very clean at all times, didn't have to queue at all even though its the start of the school holidays. There was a freezer in reception for ice packs (free of charge) and even a toaster and microwave for use - maybe back-packers would find this handy.
We camped in the lower field were we had lots of space and was maybe more sheltered when windy than the top field. The play area was in the top field and looked new, which my children enjoyed playing on.
Campsite not far from Colwyn Bay and Llandudno just a little further. A good place to be situated to explore North Wales.

Just returned from a great weekend at Plas Farm. This was our first visit but definitely won't be our last! Lovely campsite, owners incredibly helpful.
We can't comment on nearby village as we didn't stop there but we did have a Chinese Takeaway delivered to our pitch - which was heaven on earth! The menu is up on the wall in reception - you will need to use the payphone though as there was no mobile reception on Orange, 3 or Vodafone (which was not a problem for us - we welcomed the mobile-free life for a weekend).
The toilet blocks are incredibly clean and none of us had to queue for a shower even though there are only 2 in the Mens and 2 in the ladies.
All in all, a great weekend and we can't wait to return.
