This was our first trip of the year, going in a party of 17 family members.
Site was very well presented and tidy, with clean showers and toilets. As it was a bank holiday weekend the site was full but I only found myself waiting 5mins for a shower / washing up facility once during our 3 night stay.
There wasn't a very good mobile phone coverage whilst on site.
The site is only 5 miles from Bridlington and therefore within easy access of Filey & Scarborough. On the Sunday of our stay we went to the local annual 'Duck Race' in Boynton and the kids enjoyed chasing 700+ yellow plastic ducks down the local stream.
Enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

We stayed for four nights, 2 adults and 3 children, an absolute gem of a site. Spotlessly clean toilets, always warm, never had to queue. 5 year old loved the small playground but not very good for the older kids, though there is a small games room for them.
We stayed on the non electric field and was given a pitch in the corner which was perfect, lots of room around us for the kids to run around etc, big playing field just down from us for them to have a proper kick around.
In a good location for visiting Filey and Bridlington and only a 10 minute drive to the nearest Morrisons or a bit further for Tesco. Camp shop good for basics and sweets for the kids though. Had a great stay and definitely will return.

Our very first outing with a touring caravan and we couldn't have picked a better place. We had a couple of hiccups being newbies and Jayne even shut up shop to come and help. The site is lovely, we really enjoyed the walled garden feature (felt all safe), the kids loved it - playground, field and games room. Shop well stocked (when we weren't poaching the staff for help). Toilets and showers were spotless. If we had to make any criticism it would be that the playground could do with a few more pieces of equipment. We would definitely go again.

Well I don't normally leave reviews particularly when they are fantastic sites as I don't want anybody else to know about them. This was our first visit to this site and it will not be our last. This site is based within the walls of a country estate's redundant vegetable garden and is therefore well sheltered.
The standards of the site are on par with, if not better than, Caravan Club sites. All facilities are very clean and well maintained. There is a large dog walking area and the site is close to the village and pub which did excellent food.
Geoff and Jane were wonderful hosts, always pleasant. Jane clearly rules the roost and Geoff maintains the grounds (which are beautiful) in between rounds of golf!
The sites fishing lake is fairly well stocked with some good high single figure carp but isn't always easy to fish and some of the swims could do with some maintenance.
If you want a large site with entertainment then this is not the site for you. Digital TV was not available and mobile signal (except O2) was poor. If you want a peaceful, well maintained and pleasant site only 4 miles from Bridlington then this is a site for you. On speaking to other customers there was a high percentage of return visits which says it all. Please don't all go at once particularly when I return!

Just returned from Thorpe Hall only our 4th camping trip but this is the best site by far. Loved the setting of the pitches in the walled area loads of space for our large tent. Toilets and shower block very clean. Plenty of sinks for washing pots. Made good use of separate games field for football and frisby with kids. Its great that they don't allow kids to play football and the like near the tents and vans. Morning papers ordered for you by Jayne the site manager. Approx. 5 miles from Bridlington so good location for coast and Morrisons supermarket in Brid. Local village pub within walking distance but didn't use it on this occasion so cannot comment. Returning shortly without kids to try out fishing lake and the local pub of course.

Just returned from a great 4 night bank holiday at Thorpe Hall. We had 3 different units (trailer tent, caravan & motor home) and were made to feel very welcome by the manager.
The pitches were excellent sizes. Our trailer tent measures 4.5x7.5m with all the awnings up & we still had loads of room even with 2 cars on the pitch. The ground is all grass which was in good condition & mown frequently.
Only one toilet block with 3 showers in mens, but even on bank holiday weekend with a full site, the wait was only 5mins & then loads of hot water in very clean & well equipped showers (with shower gel in wall dispenser). The family / disabled bathroom was clean & well set out with shower & bath for disabled use. My mother in law found this ideal.
There is a small park which is mainly a wooden climbing frame but our kids aged from 2 to 8 didn't use it much. The playing field is of an excellent size and was great for kites.
Site has a shop which we used & has some nice local produce for sale. Prices are reasonable.
Overall - excellent site. Well kept. Well equipped. Quiet.
Good pub in Rudston (about 1/2 mile) does very tasty, good value meals and welcomes kids and has no mobile phone coverage.

What a fantastic site, this was our third visit. The Manager is very helpful and friendly. Toilets and showers are spotless and modern, grounds are well kept with flowers and hanging baskets etc. Nice big games field where we flew our kite.
Our Dog went with us and there is a good walking area complete with waste bins. This is a very good site in a lovely surrounding area. We will return.
I think it would be an idea to make people aware of site rules when they arrive at the site, this would prevent families like the one opposite us who chose to BBQ and continue to shout and laugh until midnight - three nights in a row. Not the fault of the site and I know I should have told the Manager but when they went home, the site returned to it's peaceful self.

Another fab stay at a brilliant site. Great location for the attractions on the east coast and other attractions within yorkshire.
The site itself is immaculate. Jayne is so welcoming and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble. It was raining one day and Jayne recommended loads of places for us to visit.
The site is very well maintained, grass is cut as soon as someone leaves a pitch, toilets and showers are spotless. (Showers are very powerful and hot too which is great after a day on the beach)
Already booked for next year - can't wait!

The site is very nicely situated in a walled garden, and the site manager was very helpful. Having said all that I thought £27.50 per night was a bit pricey as the facilities were ok but would have expected better for the money. I know it was August and the school holidays but it felt very crowded. I can't say exactly why but it didn't suit us and it had a strange atmosphere, it may have been because there were some very big encampments over 2 or 3 pitches and lots of people staying for one night.
Its close to the east coast and some lovely walking in the wolds. We didn't try the local pub as it was hosting 'Rudstock'.
Positives - good location, lots of toilets and plenty of free hot water.
Negative - expensive, and atmosphere.

This has got to be one of the best camps we have stayed on,the toilets&showers are first class constant hot water heated 24hrs and cleaned to a very high standard. The staff are very friendly&very helpful. If you are looking for a quiet place to rest up and recharge your batteries this the place, there is a shop on site that stocks the basic things and you can order a paper each day if you like. There is a large games field for the kids to play safely and plenty of space to walk your dog. The village is only a 10 minute walk away where you can have a quiet drink and something to eat if you like in the local pub. I would like to write something negative about this camp but I cant hope to be going back soon.
