We just stayed at the park and had a really lovely break, the children had so much fun and were constantly occupied. My children are 7 - 11 & 13 and all were happy and had a good laugh. The site is extremely clean and the facilities were 5 star and could not of been any better. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The parks rules keep it a safe and happy place for families with young children.

This site is for families and couples who want a relaxing break, the park settles down at 10pm till 8am and the no noise policy keeps the site nice for everyone over the night, there is a warden who patrols the park at night, this makes you feel very safe. During the day the wardens are there to help with anything you need, the children can ride around the site on there bikes but must keep off other peoples pitches, the kids park is for under 11's and is kept clean at all time.

We will be returning soon. Thank you for a lovely time.

On arrival we were shown to our pitch by friendly and very helpful staff. The Pitch was spacious enough. The facilities toilets, pool shop bar etc all very clean and tidy.

Good playpark for the children, dog walking area and plenty of space for ball games on a separate playing field. Bar did good pub grub with two main course for £13 and good variety of choice.

On the doorstep were Moors Valley which was accessible by bike or car, excellent place to go for family cycling, dog walking or generally enjoying the forest and nature this will be a great day out, but if participating in Go Ape highwires book in advance, also nearby New Forest Waterpark, excellent fun for the over 11's to adult we did Banana Boat and Ringos fantastic.

New Forest all very close by and Salisbury also not far.

Supermarkets Lidls, Sainsburys all not far away, Ringwqood 10 mins in car.

Would definitely go back there again and recommend to anyone. Unless you are very noisy as they are very stict on noise after 11pm, which we respect totally.

Toilets spotless, water not always hot. Very busy when campsite full cant imagine it in summer season

Swimming pool lovely

Down a lane with no views (except another caravan or tent) or walks from doorstep and busy road noise can be heard clearly. Close to New Forest and Dorset coast which is useful

Unless in front field pitches cramped together

Condition of grass and road is not great in fact run down and same as 18 years ago

Very strict on noise at night

Staff were not helpful or friendly on check in and we were disappointed. Campers also not as friendly as some sites we have been to

A small kids park

Pub and pub food were good

Ok for campers but not if you have a caravan as it is to busy in season with campers

Cannot fault this site, welcoming staff, outstandingly clean, hot showers and brilliant facilities, lovely kids play area and pool, excellent base to explore the area. If I had to push myself to find a negative it would be that it is up a lane of a main road so not an abundance of local walking to be done from the site which means you are always tied to the car. But if you are planning day trips to local areas of interest or are happy to relax on site soaking up the laid back atmosphere you will want for nothing. Will be back again soon.

Have just returned from Shamba Camp site, This is the first time we have camped in 25 years. We had a warm welcome on arrival, the pitches where spaced out well with electric hook up and water near to hand. Shower and toilets were excellent clean and warm all night. Club house where you could get an evening meal that was very good value for money. And all staff very friendly and helpful. Also the indoor swimming pool was very clean and warm. The camp site is situated within easy reach of Bournmouth-poole and new forest. We will be going back to this site again.

This was our first time at this site and would return as long as we could pitch in the overflow fields and not the main site as it seemed cramped. The pitches in the overflow fields are very large and it never felt as if it was full. There are no facilities in these fields other than water taps. The 3/4 minute walk to the showers and toilets was no problem in the daytime, but wouldn't fancy it in the middle of the night. The toilets and showers, however, were fantastic and there was always somebody cleaning them.

I did read in one review that they had a portable loo in the field when they went, but this wasn't the case when we went. They have obviously invested a lot in the facilities at this site and would do well to invest in a small toilet block, considering the number of tents they accommodate in these fields.

The pool was small but ok for children (although they forbade anyone jumping in!)They provide plastic trugs to put your stuff in which can be left at the side of the pool, which was very handy.

The shop was great, selling everything from wine to windbreaks, at reasonable prices.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend this site.

I think every one has mentioned that the shower blocks are 2ND to none. Our pitch was No 36 right out side the club house & shower block (20ft or so), so didn't have far to get the morning papers etc. We had no problem at all the whole weekend & staff always happy to help what ever part of the day it was.Club house food was pretty good too although we only used it on the 1st night.Out & about most days, Bournemouth for 1 & the Isle of white the next, £36 family ticket with free bus ticket all day.

We would recommend it to any one, on the basis that you get what you pay for ! (I'll be back)

Amazingly clean! No wonder they won the 'Best loo of 2009' Having two small children, we always want high hygiene standards and this site didn't fail! The toilets/showers were fab, the swimming pool/area was clean, washing up facilities even had 'j' cloths that you used after you finished.

There was always someone cleaning/tidying the site. The site was off the beaten track of the main road, so no noise at all. The pitches were in rows and we had enough room for caravan, car, awning and a little space to put the bbq and deck chairs.

The club house was clean and well presented, the staff were friendly. Lots of people we met had returned over several years and we can understand why. Definitely going back.

This was our first ever camping trip so I chose a site with all the amenities - which this site does have.

The GOOD: Toilets were FABULOUS! in fact I'd have preferred to sleep in there rather than our tent! Immaculately clean, underfloor heated, spacious, excellent. Pool was hot and great fun. Shop was well stocked.

The BAD: We hated the layout, we expected tents to be around a field - somewhat naive I now know! Tents in with caravans and motorhomes, pitched small and backed onto a pitch behind with a roadway in front. So no space for children to safely play around the tents, or for our group to have a central sitting get together.

I wouldn't go back, the facilities were the best we've seen (we've been to a few sites since), but the pitches and 'living space' was what we want.

Amazing toilet facilities, heated, radio playing cleaner than my home toilet and just generally a pleasure to use.

They are a little stuck up on the way you pitch your tent. It has to run the way they want it rather than what is convenient for you and trying to face your friends tents etc. They actually made us take down a tent a turn it 90 degrees so as the door faced the road, even through it was a pretty much square tent! Bit harsh.

Having said that good site, lovely swimming pool and bar. After the initial tent turning saga all staff were friendly and the guy who made us turn it around actually bought the first round of beers for us so all was redeemed.

Overall a great site.
