A lovely site we visited after torrential rain and the site was very very boggy but the owners couldn't do enough for us. They towed us onto our plot and after 10 days off again.
The showers toilets washing facilities etc were beautiful and a credit to the owners. Despite the site been full and the owners having to use their imagination on where to put everyone due to weather, we never felt intruded upon and loved the fact there was no road noise.
Two minute walk to Norfolk Broads were hubby and son spent many evenings enjoying the fishing which of course was free so big added bonus.
Site ideal for Great Yarmouth but we found a gem in the name of Cromer where my son loved crabbing from the pier it is quiet here but beautiful if not a bit of a drive.
A very enjoyable holiday

First visit was in 1999. Have been every year since 2009. Site has been updated since our first visit, with the toilets having been refurbished. Lovely site in the dry although can get waterlogged at some places in the wet.
The owners are friendly and helpful, with excellent knowledge of surrounding area. Can hire a boat from Maycraft boat yard reasonably. Fishing (if you like that sort of thing), just a five minute walk to the staithe.
A scenic walk along the river takes you to Potter Heigham and Lathams in about half an hour.
Site itself is peaceful and safe for small children (they do have to make their own entertainment). Jim will site your van if you struggle. Some of the pitches in the centre could do with hard standing.
We have had some really enjoyable holidays at this site, perfect as a base to tour the Broads and Great Yarmouth not far away if you want some typical seaside fun. Can also recommend the tea rooms at the model village for tasty, reasonably priced food.

This is a really well kept site, the pitches are all on grass but some of the biggest pitches we have seen (pitch 17 is massive). Lovely set out around the road - with a few pitches in the centre.
There are a couple of seasonals, very well kept, no junk outside them and they do not detract from the overall neat and tidy site.
Shower / toilet block is fairly new and well kept. Showers were piping hot although water pressure is a little on the low side. There is a box in the showers asking for '50p donations towards showers' - would just charge an extra 50p per night for use of showers, they are worth it and the price of £15 per night is more than reasonable.
Plenty to do in the area, the walk along the river to Potter Heigham is a delight not only for the river but also the wooden chalet houses dotted along. We also found it great for bike riding, plenty of lanes and paths along the rivers.
This is a lovely little site and would use it again and happily recommend others to do so.

Just come back after staying at willowcroft for 4 days. The owners of this site were very helpful & friendly & lived very close by to be available if there were any problems.
This is a lovely pretty little site with a real family feel about it. All pitches are clearly marked and all have electric hookup. The toilet block is modern & clean and even though the site was virtually full there was never a queue & water was always pleasantly hot.
There is an area big enough for children to play & get to know it other within sight of all pitches so children will get a bit of freedom without Mum & Dad having to move to watch over them.
Potter Heigham is only a short drive away with Lathams providing some vital items you may have forgotten & definitely is worth a visit. There is also a garage even closer if you are needing such things as milk etc.
Overall a very nice site & would highly recommend it, we will certainly be staying here again in the future when next we visit the Broads as our base.

A really lovely small site in a great location. The toilets were very modern and always very clean, and the site was very full as it was a bank holiday. There are sinks in each toilet cubicle in the ladies, which is very useful for privacy when teeth brushing etc, although I think that this meant that the toilets were large and the three showers were quite small, with no space to put clothes etc. Perhaps if only a couple of the toilets had had there own sinks then there would have been room for a bigger shower with space for a bench to put clothes on. The showers were very hot, which was lovely for me, but too hot for children I would think.
Lots of things to do locally, Potter only a few minutes drive, we hired a boat and went on the broads which was lovely. Horsey Mill national trust property, as well as Yarmouth in striking distance, and some really quiet, lovely beaches all nearby too. Owners very friendly and helpful. Would recommend if you looking for a relaxing, quiet break.

A nice small site in a good location for the broads and walks etc. When I booked I was advised that the 'loos were drained down' I didn't think that it meant the wash up and showers were not operating either, my fault for not checking, however, not really a problem, albeit we are in a medium sized motorhome, we managed. I was a bit miffed however to be charged the full rate of £14.00 per night for the use of electric only. I was told that the 2011 rate was £15 per night but as the toilet block was not in use the price would be £14.00.Mmm!

This is a pretty site down quiet country lanes so its great for walking and cycling. Potter Heigham is a short walk (20 mins or so) along the river and the staithe is only 2 mins away so great for going to feed the ducks.
The site itself had suffered due to the heavy rains and was boggy and muddy, but the owners coped well by placing people in the less muddy areas where possible. The site was full and did look a bit squashed, but it was probably due to this.
Considering how wet and muddy it was, the toilets and showers were always clean and I particularly liked the fact that each toilet had its own sink in the cubicle so ideal for strip-washing etc.
My only negative re the shower block is that the showers were too hot and there were no controls to adjust the temperature. I think this was a common problem as I heard parents trying to shower their children and the children were saying it was too hot.
There appeared to be no recycling facilities, which was disappointing, but there was a notice saying where the nearest bottle bank was.
At £14 a night with ehu I thought it was a reasonable price and would recommend it, particularly due to its location.

We have just come back from a short 'tour of Norfolk' and spent one night at Willowcroft.
The campsite is in a good location, just a couple of minutes walk from the river and a short drive from Potter Heigham. However it's not what we expected nor what we look for in a campsite - although it only has about 30 pitches (all of which were large) these all seemed to be taken up by caravans with attached awning tents and the associated large cars and caravanning paraphernalia (satellite dishes etc). Because the pitches are all around the perimeter and also on the central area it made the site look crowded and busy.
To be honest everyone seemed friendly, there was enough space and after 10.30 it was very quiet - but it just felt too busy and cramped for us.
The facilities were adequate but for such a busy site they are due for a bit of an update I'd say.
At £14 a night this site was priced about right but we are unlikely to return

This is a lovely campsite. The Owners Kandy and Jim are very helpful and make you feel welcome.
The campsite is not overburdened with rules but relies on just decent human nature and manners.
Very quiet at night-time, excellent shower/toilet block clean and functional.
My first impression on driving in it was pretty much full and my heart sank a bit thinking that it was going to be noisy etc, but it soon proved itself to be quiet and relaxed.
Lots of nature to be seen birds etc and a particular joy was watching the bats at dusk. Helpful hint to see them get up by the trees and look out over the clear sky towards the picnic tables. Bats can be hard to see if the dark trees are the background!
Not a campsite for people expecting to be able to party all night.

Lovely site! We stayed here for just 3 nights whilst visiting friends in the area but wish we could have stayed longer.
The site is clean and very well maintained. Toilet/shower block very good and not at all busy even with a full site (although it looks as if many of the caravans are permanent so some were empty). There's an honesty box for the showers with a recommended donation of 30p - well worth it for the hot water in abundance!
Plenty of water taps and all other facilities in easy reach. The owners were easy to contact via phone and email and prompt to reply. They were on hand throughout our time on site if there were any problems. Pitch sizes very generous with some tree planting in between many of them.
We paid £14 for our tent, car, two adults and two small children. Bargain! Play area for kids just in the village of Repps (15 minutes for little legs) but plenty of space on site to play.
The area is ideal for exploring the East Norfolk coast and the Broads. Absolutely stunning scenery! Potter Heigham is just a 20 minute walk along the river and has cafes, ice cream and a couple of stores.
Would love to go back sometime.
