My wife and I have stayed at Willowcroft over many years in both tents and now caravan. The owners are now dear friends and over recent years they have work hard in making many improvements to the grounds and amenities. We have made new friends who all travel many miles like us to stay here. We have a small boat so the closeness to the river is ideal. We are very lucky in being able to leave our van on site all year so we can drop in for weekends or stay longer if possible. I would recommend the site to people who like to get away from all the hustle and bustle of city life. Give it a try.

We have visited this site several times and will be returning again in July this year. Toilet block for ladies has been updated since our first stay.

It's nice and spacious with plenty of private cubicles and has a donation box for using the showers. Site owners live opposite and are available as and when you need them, very dog friendly, and hardly any 'rules' relating to children playing ball games etc etc.

Located a few minutes walk from the river and village centre is only a 15 minute walk, where there are lots of facilities, pub, shops, boat hire etc.

Spacious pitches and well cared for in all areas.

Site ; excellent ladies toilet block (just been refurbished), mens a bit run down but it serves its purpose (hopefully will also be refurbished in the near future). Pitches level, large, grass is always kept short, plenty of water taps etc.

Location; Excellent for broads and coast, Gt Yarmouth only a 10 min drive and Cromer is about an hours drive. River is a short walk from the site and the walk along it to Potter Heigham is lovely (esp the ice cream from gift shop mmmm!)

We stayed for 2 weeks in a tent and would highly recommend anyone to stay, couples or families, its that good we've booked again for next year!

The ladies toilets/showers look like they have been refurbished recently and were always clean.

Freezer was switched off so we were unable to freeze our ice packs.

No hairdryer, a way to dry hair especially if its been raining would be nice.

Several empty caravans looked like a permanent feature and I get the impression they mainly get caravans and very few tents, possibly why the above are not supplied.

No recycling facilities.

The site itself is lovely, large pitches, very quiet, and level, they have recently planted trees so in a few years they will add some nice shade for the summer months.

Willowcroft is a pleasant little campsite located on a quiet rural road and is just a 2 minute walk from the riverside. It is nicely landscaped and was kept spotlessly clean during our stay.

The size of the pitches seemed to vary quite a bit, so probably best to ask for a bigger one if you need it! It being the school holidays there were quite a lot of children running around with very little supervision.

The walk along the river into Potter Heigham is not particularly scenic as much of the footpath runs along the back of the many bungalows which line the river. The village itself has little to offer unless you are a boater, with just a couple of shops, an amusement arcade, a chip shop and the 'Broadshaven Tavern' which is truly one of the worst pubs I've ever been in!

Please be assured there is absolutely nothing wrong with Willowcroft as a campsite. It's just that we were a little disappointed with its immediate surroundings

We stayed here for a weekend getaway and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. A nice quiet site with the river nearby. The walk along the riverbank to Potter Heigham takes about 25 minutes. Toilet Block was OK, the showers were hot.

All in all, a nice relaxing site and not too crowded during our stay. Owner was very helpful and flexible.

We have just returned from a weekend visit, our first as a young family! As such, we found this a very pleasant, friendly and clean site, with hospitable and relaxed owners. Shower block still very clean (previous comments). This location is great to explore the surrounding broads and coastline, and if we decide to visit this area again, we would re-use this site.

Lovely site, very quiet with no traffic noise and friendly owners who live in the house opposite. Clean loos and showers with a voluntary 30p charity box for use of the showers, lots of water points around the site. We went over the very wet and blowy Easter weekend and the ground got very waterlogged as there were no hardstanding pitches although they did drain well - it was just so wet! Owners very happy to tow us out with a 1949 Ferguson tractor. Plans for hardstanding. A short walk to the river and then onto Potter Heigham. It must be gorgeous in the sunshine! Perfect location - will return.

Stayed at willowcroft from 18-24 July 2007. What a fantastic site, quiet and clean and surrounded with an abundance of wildlife. We watched a barn owl ever night over the campsite. Lovely walks along the river from the campsite. The site is run by a helpful and friendly couple.

The toilet block was close to all campers, never had to wait for a shower and everything was cleaned daily. I met several campers who were returning year after year, a great recommendation for any site. Needless to say we shall be going again.

This was the first outing with our new tent. As we entered the site the owners were on their way to clean the toilet / shower block, which we found very clean at all times.

This site is perfect for all people as it can be used for a relaxing break or visit Potter Heigham, only a short river walk away, where you can hire a boat to explore the broads.

We were very pleased to have discovered this site and will be returning.
