Just spent a week at this fantastic site, 5th time now. Has everything you need for a great camping holiday. Good size pitches, we were in the paddock with electric.
Toilets and showers were always clean as was the pots and pans room.
Adults bar and family bar, prices were quite reasonable compared to the Plough Inn at the bottom of the drive. Swimming pool was nice and clean, can get a bit busy on warm days. Good size shop on site that sells everything you would need, although Morrisons is only a 5 min drive away.
Overall this is an excellent site, always clean and tidy, safety barriers on way in and out.
Only negative is that Magic Mike is getting a bit boring now, so could benefit with an upgrade to the nightly entertainment. Oh, and thanks to the person who nicked our cooker stand cover.

Just spent a very enjoyable weekend at this great site. Camped in the paddock which was well set out and near enough to all the facilities. We were very impressed with the general cleanliness and maintenance of the site. All the staff were friendly and couldnt do enough to help.
Only negative is the fact that when we rang to book we were told they had a strict policy of not accepting tents over 6m (ours is slightly over) and no pup tents allowed. This was OK for a weekend but would have put us off staying any longer as we all had to squeeze into our spare tent. Dont know whether they enforce this rule anyway as we did see lots of tents that looked to be over 6m when we walked around the site!
Top marks generally though and we will go back.

Stayed a week in August. We were pitched on the paddock which is a spacious flat field. Toilet facilities could do with some updating but were always clean.
Good entertainment block with kids entertainment, and seperate adult lounge.
Great take away on site and a well stocked shop with very friendly and helpful staff. Site has a great laundry with very comfy sofas while you wait.
Beach nearby but not easy acess from site although Cayton bay is only a few mins drive with a beautiful safe sandy bay.
Excellent value for money as lots to do on site including an indoor pool and games rooms.
Great location for visiting nearby Scarborough, Bridlington and Filey

Had a weekend here, third time of going so knew what to expect, clubhouse with reasonable bar prices, swimming pool £1.50 each, good kids park, but a word for all motorhomers.
We paid to go on a hardstanding superpitch with water and drain facilities, which although expensive, means I didn,t have to mess with the daft taps, and we would be on a concrete pad, good, as we knew the weather was going to be bad. All ok till the pitch we were put on had a concrete pad but we stepped out of the van straight onto a piece of grass.
The moral of the story is, if they ask you if you are putting up an awning always reply - yes.
That was let down number one, the second was, out of the three toilet blocks, only two were in use, which I found strange given that some tents were pitched right behind them, and the wife and daughter said the other two stunk as if somebody with a severe personal hygine problem had been in the block before them -in both blocks, the gents were ok so maybe just required a few windows opening .
Will return, not at a peak time ( can imagine it being a bit chaotic ) as the staff and the site are pleasant, and I will let them now about the smell situation as it did detract from otherwise a pleasant visit.
And you DO deserve a drink after the walk up from the bus stop , with a buggy and the wind blowing you back down !

This was our first visit and will not be our last. Visited with another family, four adults and six children. The play park was fantastic and although we don't normally visit clubs we thought the childrens entertainer was excellent. The toilet and shower facilities were spot on with a seperated area in the shower to hang your clothes. Great position and even though it was bank holiday weekend the site did not feel full even though it was. Overall a brilliant site that I would highly recommend

We stayed here for a week in August and I had been worrying slightly about the pitch sizes after reading reviews on here saying they were small, but they weren't at all. The pitch was a lovely size and all pitches had toilet blocks within easy reach. The toilets weren't bad although I have seen better. The toilet cubicles were rather small and some of the showers weren't very good, although the ones that were, were fine.
The leisure part was quite big for the size of the site with arcade games, pool, table tennis, swimming pool etc.
Shop was brilliant, as was the cafe and take away.
Great park for the kids, including one for under 6's which was fenced off.
The entertainment we found was a bit boring but that might just be because our children are now older and a bit past party games etc but the little kids seemed to love it. To be fair we only went once so not sure about other nights. The room was massive, which is quite rare. Plenty of room to sit and the adult bar was completely empty so would've been nice and quiet if that's what you wanted.
There was a 5-10 min walk to the cliff top and I would have loved to be there during a hot sunny week because the view would have been lovely and there was a seat there too. However, we did see some beautiful sunsets. Think it would be a 20 min walk to the beach, along the cliff to Cayton Bay.
Scarborough was maybe a 15 min drive away, maybe less. Loads to do there. We went on a speed boat ride, open top bus ride, on a boat in peasholm park, up to the castle, shopping, ten pin bowling etc etc.
Lovely beaches but sadly we didn't have the weather for them.

We have just had a very enjoyable 9 days with friends also in a tent. 4 days of bad weather were okay largely down to the lovely indoor swimming pool for which there was a small charge. The pitches are average in size but even the paddock is well organised, and there are sockets in the loos if you don't have electricity. Toilets and showers are clean, bright and plentiful and staff are very helpful and pleasant. Children's playground and the family evening entertainment are good quality. Paddock could be a bit noisy at night. Will definitely come back next year

Just come back from a weeks camping at the Flower of May, been three times with our two children, daughter age 14 son age 10. Great facilities for the kids and a very clean and tidy site, feel safe letting the kids out on the site on their own. Very friendly staff in the shop, will freeze your cool box ice blocks for you for 20p, good kids bar with entertainment, also an adults only bar upstairs. The adventure play ground is a great place for your kids to make friends. The site is well situated for visiting Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington. All only a short drive away. The swimming pool is also good and very clean, not deep and well supervised. For those of you who like golf there is a golf course situated directly behind the site. The shower and toilet blocks are very clean and have private shower cubicles and wash cubicles. The only major problem with the site is that if you are camping with non electric you are usually put in the bottom paddock where it can be a long walk to the toilets, not good especially through the night with children, the site definitely needs a toilet.

Have been using this site for a few years now Lovely clean site, plenty of room for the kids to play and a nice pitch and putt golf for us adults as well. Good entertainment in the bar 'magic mike' is excellent. Swimming pool, table tennis, pool, snooker all available and not over priced. Well stocked shop, chippie and cafe all on site although opening hours are a bit 'hit and miss' There is a pub 10mins walk away does a nice carvery. Downsides for me it seems to be concentrating more on seasonal pitches these days and the touring pitches available are very small. Car,van, awning then about a foot to next car, van, awning so you have not got any room to sit out. Also on last visit we had a massive twin axle next to me and his a-frame must have been 2/3 foot over the gravelled road not ideal, I think he should have been on a bigger pitch.
