Very nice site, peaceful and friendly.
The toilet, washing area and shower block are clean and well kept, although we stayed in the bunkhouse, which has it's own toilet and sink etc.
The bunkhouse could maybe do with a bit of TLC but it was absolutely fine for us - a party of 12 who wanted a space to be together that didn't cost the earth.
We all enjoyed our stay and plan to go back :-)

On arrival we were handed a map and not shown to our pitch, never saw them again walking round the site or cleaning/ checking anything.
There are half built wooden structures with plastic sheeting flapping about on the site. We were dumbstruck at how they can charge what they do for a very basic site.
The pitches are packed in tight. There isn’t enough toilets, showers for the number of people on site. They are very dated and not particularly clean. The toilets near reception are mixed and smelt of urine at times, door locks not all working. People outside the door washing their pots whilst you’re trying to go isn’t great either.
Showers ran for 10 seconds and are luke warm. Handle on shower room was broken so it was wedged open.
There just seems to be a lack of professionalism and care for the whole site. Maintenance is very lacking all round as the whole site looks rundown, plants and flowers in beds are unkept and full of weeds.
We will not be coming back. The best thing about the site was the location, not too far from all the places to visit.

Very poor campsite facilities. We booked for 3 nights but left after 2.
Only 1 toilet block consisting of 3 showers and 3 toilets per male or female. Additional 3 toilets by the reception with one of those with a door lock/handle missing. As reported in this website about 3 years ago. That seems to be the whole mantra for the site. Tired.
All units, vans, tents, motorhomes all on top of each other. Pile em in and pile em high.
Good location and the 2 girls on reception were nice but that’s about all I can say about this site.

Not much nice about site, apart from the location, which is central for trips to sightseeing points.
Showers were disgusting, a few families wanted to purchase bleach and wash them ourselves. Bins at washing up area always overflowing, piles of planks of wood with nails sticking out, flower beds, which in summer season should have been bountiful, were sad.
At nearly £300 for 6 nights, it is definitely not a cheap holiday for families, which apart from a little play park, and a shady stream provides nothing for them to be entertained.

The Good :- Well located for visiting the local attractions, Holy Island, Bamburgh castle etc. Extremely Dog friendly.
The Bad :- The Toilets we used were "unisex" and in a condition that could only be described as grim. Required by the owners to pay a £10 surcharge, for the privilege of getting stuck in a motorway tailback, making the total for one night camping for two people of £43. Was not the pleasant holiday experience I was needing
Initially I thought that it was just me, perhaps having a bad day, but on reading other reviews it seems I am not alone thinking the owners spend too much time and effort making up site regulations, and reliving you of your money, and not so much maintaining and cleaning the place.
Well located, but Champagne money for a Lemonade level of service.
Perhaps consider a stay in one of the other sites in the area if possible.

The site is well organised for holiday campers.
The facilities are good for washing, fridge freezer and clean showers.
We did not use on site kitchen or pizza kiosk.
The pitch was large without electric for our tent with enough space for car.
It is good that the site is quiet at night. The nearest shop and pub is in Belford Village.
Well located for Bamburgh castle and village.

Peaceful secluded site, surrounded 360d by trees so well protected from the weather. Woken each morning by the sounds of the birds and the babbling stream along one side of the site.
Good size pitches, shower/toilet block good, hot water every time. Washing area with fridge freezers to use.
Very clean tidy site.
Shop could be better stocked, especially as no shops/bars nearby.
No Wi-Fi on site, which was an issue for us due to work, but great to get away from it all.
I would recommend it for couples mostly, though there is a lovely play area for young children at the beginning of the site away from the vans/tents.

Good level site with both grass or hard standing pitches. We had asked for hard but given grass! As it was pouring with rain we asked to change and it was no problem.
Good toilet and shower block and great indoor washing-up area! Large rank of fridges and freezers for free use by campers.
Large area for recycling and clear labelling for disposal of waste.
Short walk from the coast as on Coastal Path with great views, birds on mudflats.
Also on bus route to Berwick or Alnwick. Short drive to Holy Island, and Seahouses is great for eating out and sea views.

We arrived on a Sunday during a bank holiday weekend, the site was really busy with families etc. We were shown a grass pitch with EHU which was large enough for what we needed.
The nearest toilets were behind us in the reception area (these close at 9pm and reopen at 7. 30am). After that the toilet/shower block were on the other side of the campsite - these were always clean and plenty of hot water.
The site was quiet after the weekend, so there was never a queue for the shower.
Staff were friendly and there was a small shop which stocked some basics provisions, and the nearest shop was off the A1.
The area was peaceful and not far from Budle Bay - which is a nature reserve and mud flats, the nearest beach is Bamburgh, which was stunning and is either a short drive or for the more active a 3 mile walk along the coastal path. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again!
