Well located for beach and coastal walks. We had a pleasant walk into Gosport and caught the bus back.
Clubhouse was lively and friendly. Good value food and drinks with enjoyable quiz on Sunday and Monday.
Only one toilet block had hot water and the one that was working was a bit tired but it was clean.
The shower cubicles didn't have any shelf or screen to keep your clothes dry and the shower alternated between scalding hot and cold.
Water in the washing up area was only lukewarm.
However we enjoyed our stay and would like to return.

Been before so knew what to expect.
BUT one toilet block has been revamped and is now more modern. The other is a little 'tired' but very clean and usable.
Nice bar and restaurant. Friendly staff.
Fussy point - where the hardstanding has been put in, there is a drop down to grass level so 'awkward' if you have an awning.
Bus links outside the site. Bike lanes to Gosport (didn't go the other way!)

We can not praise this place enough. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and more helpful and this goes for the reception staff, the bar staff and all the ground workers too.
The whole site is extremely well kept and looked after with clean washing facilities and very powerful showers.
There was a very friendly atmosphere in the club house and wonderful to see how the regulars make the whole place very friendly and welcoming to new people.
The restaurant is out of this world and it is a good job we don’t live closer as I’m sure we would be in there far more that what we should have!
Again the staff was so friendly and welcoming we found it hard to a single fault with anything.
We can’t wait to go back and would highly recommend this place to anyone of any age.
The beautiful beach is just moments away with crazy golf and lots of children’s activities too and just a short drive to the town centre with plenty of shops to look around and also boat trips are available too.
There are a few pubs and parks within walking distance but I’m sure you won’t want to leave the camp site once you’re there.
Thanks for everything Terry and Nikki 😊

A good site. Convenient for Gosport ferry and Portsmouth. Bus ride only 20 mins.
There's a bar on site that serves real ale, and there's a restaurant in season.
Facilities perfectly OK. (Other reviews mention poor facilities, but these are being renovated as I write).
Not cheap at £36 a night, but I don't go on holiday to save money, but it's worth it for his well connected it is.

We stayed at this site for 2 nights to give us easy access by bus to the Gosport passenger ferry for visiting Portsmouth's Historic Naval Dockyard. Please note that bus services back to the site do not operate in the evening so, after eating at Gunwharf Quay, we had to get a taxi back from Gosport ferry terminal.
Regarding the site itself.
The toilet/shower block is like something from 20 years ago. Very outdated by modern campsite standards. The shower cubicles are very poor quality. There is no division between the shower itself and an area to dry yourself meaning that the whole floor area is wet after showering. The cubicle also only had just one hook to hang your clothes/towel. The toilet block in all was rather scruffy.
At £35. 50 per night(in November !), this site is very expensive. This is particularly the case given the awful facilities block.
I see that the site is owned by East Lindsey District Council. That Council should 'learn' from municipal sites in France who take great pride in offering good quality at reasonable prices.
We will be visiting the area again next year but WILL NOT be using this site.

We both enjoyed our stay at this site, it was clean and tidy, staff were friendly and very helpful. We found the facility of storing the motorhome very useful. Ad we staying with relatives for a further 3 nights
The bar complex was very lively excellent service, very reasonable prices for xronks and food
Only draw back to the visit was the condition of the washroom facilities which could be improved by an update, there was plenty of hot water in. The showers but the floor flooded everyday.
We would return and stay again, it's near the sea and there's places to eat and drink within easy walking.

This was a last minute booking and a really nice stay. Prompt response to my enquiry, very pleasant and helpful staff.
The site was spacious with plenty of room between pitched. EHU worked well with no issues, lovely clean showers and toilets and within a very short distance from most pitches.
The main road can be a little noisy but this didn’t affect us at all.
Very leafy and felt rural, and private.
Easy walking distance to country park, Stokes Bay and Lee On Solent.
We would definitely recommend this dog friendly site

We came with our 11 year old grandson and used the site as a base for exploring Gosport and Portsmouth, and their naval history. For that, it was perfect.
There are frequent and regular timetabled buses from outside the site gate into the bus station in the centre of Gosport. From there, there is a well marked waterside walk to explore Gosport's historical attractions.
Incidentally we don't agree with a previous reviewer who made a disparaging remark about Gosport, a perfectly nice and interesting place. From the bus station there's a frequent public ferry across the harbour into Portsmouth, - or, if you've bought tickets for the Naval dockyard, you can get a free water shuttle from Gosport's submarine museum, or less frequently from the explosives museum.
There's also a very nice, easy and mostly protected cycle path along the seafront and into Gosport centre. Another protected cycleway takes you to the extensive and well-equipped beach at Lee-on-the-Solent.
The staff at Kingfisher are helpful and friendly but we got the impression that the site is more geared to looking after the residents of the many 'statics' there, with 'tourers' like us being just tolerated.
The pitches were rather smaller than we are used to, giving the 'tourers' section a rather crowded feel. There are two facilities blocks but we were advised that one of them had no hot water for the long weekend we were there.
It was a bank holiday weekend and apparently could not be fixed over the 4 day period of our visit. The facilities block we did use looked shabby and dilapidated, in need of a thorough refurbishment, or perhaps a knock-down and rebuild.
It wasn't well or regularly cleaned, some toilet stalls were positively filthy. The dishwashing area had water that was at best luke-warm. There is a small playgound which our grandson didn't use, although he was able to cycle around the site.
There was nightly entertainment which we didn't join, although it was easy to hear around the site until late, since the doors and windows of the facilities room were kept open.
For all that, the site was the most expensive we've stayed at this year (including several in Swizerland and Austria). Unfortunately we won't be going back.

Lovely quiet site,
Able to choose which pitch we wanted
Did get busier towards the weekend with some people using unsociable barbecues.
Will definitely recommend this site to others and will be returning may even book one of the caravans. 👍
