This site is a barrier entry and a refundable deposit of £5 of the card. On arrival we had to book in at the bar due to arriving after 4pm, we were greeted with a smile and as my parents had arrived the day earlier the had already sorted out where we were to pitch.
Shower block was a log cabin style and was clean and tidy. The bar is in the log cabin style also and was very large in size, as this was probably due to them having a large static area. They do meals but they were not cooking when we were there. We only stayed 1 night due to going to a funeral locally.
They were more accommodating as we needed to pack away before we went to the funeral and the collect folding camper after.
The pitches were well set out and reasonably kept, the only down side was the fact they had contractors staying on site and did not give any consideration for other campers at 6am when they started up the engine of there lorries and rearranged the backs of them. This went on for an hour! I understand they need to stay somewhere but surely they could have sorted out there lorries the night before! I know we only stayed one night but my parents and been there since the sunday and they had done the same every morning. If I was there for longer I thinks we would have looked for somewhere else.
All in all nice site may try again if we were in the area.
One final point if your not a sat nat user its not well sign posted so could easily get off track.

This is the second time been here, field is good for tents, plenty of space, needs updating especially for children could do with a playground, kids would love a swimming pool, toilet blocks could do with a electric socket, no were to dry hair
Staff were very friendly, we were allowed to take our dog in the pub (great dane) not exactly a small dog, plenty of places to walk him, river, beach and woods.
Handy site for us as we have family in fareham, would like to try it in the summer holidays next year.

Positives = excellent location 5 mins walk from the beach, views across the Solent stunning, on the hot spring day lovely walk both ways, good promenade to the left, really interesting old MOD site to the right, ideal for dogs. Think club house and restaurant updated looked fine, excellent portions in restaurant and not too expensive, £5.50 for very large scampi and chips
Shower block and toilets were warm and I thought clean enough people on site friendly
Weather was fab so that always helps
Entertainment is laid on most weekends some may enjoy entirely your choice
Reasonable area for the motorhome, gravel and bit of grass. Would advise trying to keep away from the road area as could be noisy at night. We got a pitch right next to the river and couldn't complain. There was a walk by the river which was useful with the dog however be careful at both ends as leads onto the main road.
Obviously the time of our visit was not too busy but many pitches were booked .
Agreed nothing on site for children but if they like the beach then you will enjoy.
Slight downside and only because I didn't read the back of the access card, if you get this after hours e.G 4.00 pm make sure you pop in reception the next day, I didn't and ended up not being able to get in the toilet block the following day = whoops well it could have been apart from a very kind gent
Apparently you can also access the buses just outside the site and these take you into Portsmouth and Gosport so that's good for some
All in all a great weekend and we would certainly go back just sitting on the beach watching the ships and boats in the sun was fantastic

This is a good quiet site, with all facilities good the toilets were clean and warm as we visited in March this is a must have. We didn't visit the restaurant but it looked nice, and reasonably priced.
My only complaint would be that you have to park your car away in the car park, this was inconvenient as we use the car as a storage space for things that take up space in the caravan.

The positive is that the staff were friendly, especially in the Clubhouse which had a good atmosphere.
The pitch was spacious but the site is extremely noisy. The pedestrian crossing beeped till very late and again very early! The road was relentlessly busy.
The showers only had one hook for clothes, towel, washbag. Press button operation - had to be kept pressed to release water which stops the instant one let go. Plenty of basins but very little counter space. It was clean and the washing up facilities were good.
Getting in and out was facilitated with a security card, both for the barrier and the showers/loos. We only had one card which was quite inconvenient.

The toilet/shower block was cleaned every day but hairs were left on the floors, the shower heads were slimy and in fact, we were only there 2 nights and didn't use them. The showers leaked so going to the toilet meant picking your way through running water. When we came to fill up with water, the drinking water tap was not clearly marked and difficult to find and only one grey water disposal drain that we found. The site is in a beautiful area close to the sea, woods and green areas ideal for walking. There is a restaurant on site in need of updating and a poorly stocked shop; the whole site really needs up-grading if the fees are to be justified.

The people who work here were very helpful and friendly. They have a restaurant serving some nice food. Also a pub that didn't give a reminder for a chance to buy any bingo tickets before it started, therefore we didn't bother to stay. Some people we spoke to lived near by so it is open to anyone on and off the site. I would not want my car left in the car park so I am pleased we have a motorhome.
The toilets were not too bad in the evening at 6pm but later around 11am they had got a bit more dirty. In the morning they were filthy from my first visit about 5am to my last around 10am. People even left clothes on the radiators all night.
I didn't want to spend time having a shower here and waited until our next site. We only stayed 1 night but would use it again just as an overnight stop. It should be cheaper as lots of people we spoke to also just used it as an overnight stop and complained about the toilets. They should reconsider their prices or inspect the site more regularly!

My son and I have just returned from a few nights camping at Kingfisher.
The Tent area is situated right next to a busy road (bush and footpath separating the two), which is noisy day and night - with a pedestrian crossing bleeping away just to make sure I really did stay awake.
There is nothing for children to do, no play area and everywhere is signed no balls games. This was ignored by all, though!
Showers/Toilets acceptable condition.
Security average.
Clubhouse very smart.
Staff Friendly.

We used the campsite for one night's stay as we were attending a party in Gosport. We're glad that we were only there for one night, for what the site has to offer (not much at all) it is overpriced.
Everything, including the pitches, the games room and the toilets and showers are outdated and the place is in need of an overhaul. We couldn't use the toilets without turning our jeans up as the floors (and even the walls) were so wet with condensation and water as there was no ventilation at all.
The pitches were overgrown with weeds and there was litter all over the campsite, some of the pitches, didn't even have any grass to speak of and the whole place could really benefit from a bit of TLC.

Stayed at Kingfisher twice this year (as relatives own a static on site) & have enjoyed both stays.
The site is clean, toilets & showers could do with upgrading but they're ok, the tent pitches are very big & the tent area is a sun trap !
Went to the clubhouse which is a tad dated now. They don't show any football (shame as we wanted to watch the World Cup), & the pint I had in there was very expensive & not very nice.
Within a 5 minute walk of Stokes Bay, which was a nice dog walk every day, but not really a lot else to do in the bay itself.
On the whole, I would recommend this site & I will go back as everyone there is very friendly, not expensive, & a nice site
