Really lovely, well structured site with mature hedgerows separating the various camping fields as well as an extensive programme of further tree planting underway. The site owners have carefully thought out how to manage the space on site to ensure a feeling of being immersed in nature while maintaining clear demarcation between the pitches and easy cut throughs and walkways when crossing the site.
The facilities are of a very high standard and kept very clean throughout the day. Water stand points are conveniently located and many pitches have electric hookup.
We had upgraded our tent shortly before the holiday to a 5m bell tent and when we phoned to upgrade the size of the pitch the wardens did say that while we could squeeze it onto a standard 6x4 pitch it would be more comfortable on an extra large (which is as we had thought).
The swimming pool is lovely and set in it's own walled and tiled courtyard. The booking system ensures ample space in the pool and bookings only open the day prior, which frees up availability as no one can block book.
All the descriptions on the website have proved to be very accurate. We are here in the school summer holidays and there are a lot of families with kids, as would be expected. It's definitely a family friendly site and lots of the kids seem to make friends and play football or games on the various climbing frames etc. Outside of school holiday times I'm sure it would generally be couples, so a bit more peaceful.
It's clear that this is not a campsite for groups of friends (no groups are allowed to book except "immediate family members" and the quiet time between 9pm and 9am is certainly in place. This is a bonus with the kids going back to their tents after that time, but would also preclude any groups of adults sitting round a campfire having a drink and laughing / talking a bit loudly. It therefore suits us on holiday as a couple but as I do most of my camping with a couple of friends, it limits it's interest to me in that regard. However, for many people this will make it ideal as a campsite (particular as there is so many suitable pitches for campervans).
All of the staff have been friendly and helpful with genuine enthusiasm for camping / touring.
We walked to Shanklin railway station along the bridle path and it took us just under 20 minutes, without even going at too brisk a pace. Google maps estimated apx. 25 minutes but we could have made it into Shanklin town centre by then.
The railway runs from Shanklin through to Ryde, the Island's largest town (we went to laser quest and Chocolate Apothecary) and it has various other stops including Sandown, which has a long sandy beach and amusement pier, as well as the Lionheart Sanctuary and other attractions.
Shanklin itself has various small shops, including some fun quirky ones as well as it's famous old village with thatched cottages, cream teas and gardens. There's also an esplanade with lots of crazy golf, bowling, amusements, ice cream etc. Shanklin Chine is also a very beautiful and interesting attraction.
All in all, this is a fab campsite which, as the website suggests, suits families in the school holidays and couples all season long.

This was the second time we've stayed at this site and were not disappointed.
There was a friendly welcome, facilities were good, swimming pool was very refreshing and games/TV rooms were handy.
Kids loved it and close to everything we needed.

The site was clean and tidy and pitch was available when we arrived at 12pm.
The wash facilities clean and water in showers as desired.
Didn't use the pool as weather wasn't warm enough!

Lovely location, quiet away from roads and other external noise. It was a very full site when we went but this didn't appear to impact the facilities as never had to queue.
The pre-booking on the pool wasn't an issue for us and worked well given the pool isn't that big so limiting to 4 pitches /24 users was great.
We had some external issues which meant we had to change our booking and they were able to do this and rebook the ferry and accommodated adjacent pitches despite this so excellent customer service.
Reasonable charge (50p exchange / £3 deposit) on freezer blocks which wasn't advertised on their website. Quite pricey although good discount on ferry booking and did offer single parent discount when asked.
We were able to cycle directly from the site to the Red Squirrel trail which was lovely.
There was some noise from other campers esp groups with lots of young uncontrolled children and with all the pitches being EHU flashing lightpoles and lots of lights were annoying but this didn't go on that late so quiet / darker from 11pm. Very near to supermarkets so no shop on site not a problem.

This was a great site. We were on a fully serviced grass pitch with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The toilet and shower block appeared quite new, with plenty of hot water. It was spotlessly clean every day.
The site was quiet because we were there before the school holidays began.
There was a small play area, plus badminton courts, table tennis, games room and a good sized swimming pool that was kept at a very comfortable temperature.
The site was within easy driving distance and reasonable walking/cycling distance from three supermarkets, Shanklin and lots of cycling or walking paths.
The only thing we would have liked to have seen was a small shop on site selling basics, but this wasn’t really a problem.

Been to Ninham once before and have already booked for 3 weeks next year. Great site good pitches and amenities block very clean.
Exceptional outdoor pool, small games room and children's play area.
Loads of nice walks close by and very near to supermarkets also only close to shanklin and Sandown beaches.
We found the cost extremely competitive including the ferry and staff very friendly and helpful.
