A lovely site, very rural and peaceful. Hardly anyone on the site as it was near the last week of opening so no warden on duty but regular visits from various members of staff. Massive pitches , very unintrusive. Very well placed for walking into Shanklin at night. Toilets fine, showers red hot.

Really good site, although it was peak time it seemed only half full as there is so much space. It is very nicely set out in three big fields that are really well maintained. The swimming pool area is very clean and well looked after and we had been there for 2 days until we actually found it ( although we were not looking too hard ).
As others have previously mentioned the only ( small ) let down is the fact that the toilet blocks although very clean only have 3 shower cubicles which means timing is crucial but they do have a larger cubicle in each so that kids can be showered together rather than one at a time if they are too young to go alone. Our 2 ( ages 4 & 5 ) made more friends here than any other site and we are looking forward to 2006 already, highly recommended

We won a UK Camp Site competition to visit this site and were very pleased to win. But pleasure was considerably reduced by the less than welcoming response when booking and also to our arrival on site. Pitches are spacious, toilet/shower facilities basic. Site fairly peaceful depending on whether children are about or not. Reception has limited opening hours (when we didn't seem to be around) so there was no information about the site/facilities, where to pitch etc. Excellent for supermarkets nearby and Sandown, Shanklin and Vendor. Less so for customer service.

This site has fabulous big pitches and so much space surrounding them. Where other sites would squeeze in another row of pitches Ninham leaves it open. The countryside setting is wonderful as are the views.Very peaceful site. The kids loved the pool (a small toddler pool as well). Lots of deckchairs and sun beds around it. Inflatables only allowed between 4 and 6pm. Pot wash area is undercover but quite a walk from some pitches. There are 2 baby bathing rooms here as well, although you need to get key from reception. The games room was nextdoor. We didnt use it.
There was no shop on site but Safeway was less than 5 mins in the car. Ice packs were £2 deposit and 50p(large) and 25p (small) to hire. If we had a van with its own facilities this site would definitely be our first choice to return to. We were also a little perplexed with some of the rules. No noise before 9am but off pitch by 10am.

July 2004 Lovely camp site, the proprieters were very friendly and helpful. Toilets are clean, its a bit of a walk to the washing up area but was not a problem. The swimming pool was lovely. Just a shame we where there in the storms last year. There is plenty to do locally, and well worth a visit.

July 2005 Our second visit to this lovely rural campsite, close to shanklin and Sandown but still giving the impression of being "off the beaten track" Very spacious pitches, lots of clean facilities including a swimming pool, games room and fishing lakes. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The owner, Derek Harvey, is a lovely chap who, with the help of his staff ensure that the site is extremely well run, with emphasis on consideration for fellow campers/caravaners. Pricing is reasonable and this has to be a plus for families, they can even arrange your ferry crossing, which is one less thing to worry about. If you're looking for a truly relaxing holiday with plenty of wildlife, lovely surroundings and without the commercialism of the "large company site" this one is a real jewel. See you all soon.

June 2005 Well cared for site with flat and level pitches and a lot of dividing hedges. Hardly anyone on site (school term time)when we went so was very quiet which is how we like it. I have never seen so many rabbits in one place and you need to be careful when driving in and out as they shoot out in front of you. Only complaint was that showers in the ladies were not warm enough, despite it being mentioned to warden (gents' OK though). The pool was very clean and there are plenty of loungers available. Plenty of ducks and things on the ponds too. We would definitely go again, even though we had to keep cleaning the car because of the dust on the access road rendered it constantly dirty!

July 2005 Lovely site enjoyed by myself and my friends. Not at all commercial, but in a great spot close to Shanklin. Great little pool which was never over crowded. Very spacious pitch and well kept. If you are looking for an alternative to the "clubhouse" campsites, this one's a winner.

Aug 2003 Unrivalled for space and location. Two touring Parks situated either side of wooded valley overlooking decorative lake. Generous sized pitches situated in larger paddocks. Two amenity buildings (clean) on each site. Superb swimming pool, sun patio and ample lawns for 'run-out'. Ideal for 'green leisure' families i.e. into cycling, walking, water sports. Would not suit persons looking for clubhouse, bar and kariokee etc.
However, plenty of attractions nearby at Shanklin and Sandown Bay. Basically a Continental type camping/caravanning terrain, but on this side of the Channel !

July 2003 Nice location 10 mins in car to either Shanklin or Sandown. 5 mins in car to good supermarket. Site surrounded by nice walks in wooded areas and open fields. Site is generally quite level and well drained. Manager helpful and not intrusive. The site was quite full but noise was low after 10 o'clock. Swimming pool area excellent. The two ponds are brimming with 3 to 4lb carp!
The shower block was clean. Play areas - the one nearest us had two swings and a sand pit.
