Easy to find, loved that there is secure gate entry. Told where our field was and told to pick our own spot. We chose a spot and was taken back by the absolutely stunning view we had!

That was a nice surprise :)

Club house was fun, and filled most night, children's park was small but close to the clubhouse so easy to have a cider and watch the kids play.

Super close to Wookey hope, Cheddar and Wells, as well as close enough to Weston Super Mare for a day trip.

Showers nice and warm, toilets are clean, kitchen for washing your dishes, and freezers to freeze your ice blocks. Everything thought of and taken care of :)

Definitely back next year!

Just a lovely place. We visit as we are local and know its a good and safe place. I'm a Nanna taking 2 grandchildren 8 and 14 and it's one of their favourite camps

They used the pool, restaurants and shop as well as toilet blocks

I had made a mistake booking the wrong day so turned up and realised I was a day early. On a busy campsite. However, bless them, they found us an electric pitch which was so kind and compassionate (I had a back injury and was devastated I had booked the wrong day and grandkids would have been too), saved me so much hassle!.

Staff as always are fantastic and hard working. We had fish and chips, burger and chips and nuggets with chips, Jack ate his burger and said it was amazing, my fish was crispy and huge!

Quiet at night so we slept well and had cows mooing in the distance.

Views are beautiful.

Close to many places by bus or car, what could be better!

The grandchildren were begging to stay an extra night but due to commitments, we couldn't sadly but will be back again.

10/10 for Bucklegrove from us all!

Very friendly reception and details about the site. Good sized shop with varied goods.

Camped with family side by side. Both tents had to be pitched in mud, not ideal especially as it rained during our stay. Good sized pitch though. Our children were 3 and 5 years.

The play area was constantly being over run by older children with footballs making it unsafe for little children to play. They should have been made to play in the field provided.

The pool was warm but so small. The steps into the pool were lethal and not safe. They should come to the edge of the pool and not be placed 30cm in. Accident waiting to happen. Changing room too small for families.

Bar okay, large seating area inside and out. Food was very good and served quickly.

Quiet time was not recognised at 10:00pm. Very noisy some nights.

Toilet block okay but in need of an upgrade.

Woodland walk cute for our children. Seemingly no area for dogs if required.

Overall nice site but not for us.

Great location and good facilities but pitches too close together for my liking.

This poses a risk of fire spreading should one occur. For that reason I would not stay again.

The female staff on reception where very pleasant.

The first thing that struck us was the very poor condition of the roads around the site, with pot holes deep enough to damaged vehicles. The poor roads could have been repaired relatively cheaply.

On entering the Grove it looked very uncared for, with grass and hedges overgrown. Hard standings were water logged and muddy. Even with the wet weather you don't expect hard standings to be muddy.

There were far more seasonal pitches than we expected which makes the site look quite untidy.

The facilities block was clean but in need of a refurb.

Overall the whole site needs modernising.

This review is no reflection on the site staff, who can only work with what they are given.

Site is well located for all the main spots in Somerset and you get a discount on Wookey hole.

Good size shop well stocked. Site has faculties for the family and the girls liked the pool.

Though the pitch was quite small and being next to the toilets wasn’t great given the smell.

We pulled up and no one was in reception and the number wasn’t being answered. Ended up having to go into the site to find someone and once I did there was another four people wanting to check in.

Some very deep pot holes in the roads

Nice campsite the caravan was nice and clean, it has a kids play ground, swimming pool and a pub/restaurant,

The only problem we found is after the school holiday it goes into “end of season” so the pub/restaurant is not open on Sunday and a few days of the week, this campsite had a caravan rally going on and was full but the pub/restaurant still stayed closed, most people was disappointed that it was not open.

There is another pub about half a mile down the main road but be careful of the traffic as there is no foot paths on parts of it, supermarket are not far away, Wells and cheddar are both very nice.

The cider barn is worth a visit if you like coder.

We stayed in the adjacent field, Tor View and wow, what a view it was. Tents looked a little tightly packed in the main site however in Tor View we had unlimited space and plenty of privacy.

Clubhouse was lovely, good value food and drinks. Toilets and showers were clean and in a central location. Owners very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

A phone charging station for those without EHU would be my only suggested improvement.

Relaxed campsite, friendly staff, bar on site with live music.

Swimming pool on site, extremely dog and child friendly.

Would use again.

Tad pricey.

Toilets clean but not exceptional

A reasonably located site with excellent views towards Glastonbury Tor and the Mendip Hills.

The site is compact but restrictive, due to the lack of surrounding footpaths. There is one signposted towards the Mendips, but it includes a section along a narrow, winding, sometimes busy road which is not conducive to walking with dogs, having no footpaths.

The fully-stocked bar/restaurant serves a limited range of reasonably priced food, which is freshly cooked. The downside is that it opens only 4-days per week at this time of year, and was closed for maintenance for 2-days of our stay - so we only had access for 6 out of 14-days.

Unless the owners update their website (as we have requested), please take no notice of the photographs of what appeared to be a well-stocked shop - we would estimate that the product range was no more than 50% of that shown - disappointing.

There is an indoor, heated swimming pool which is a plus - other general facilities are serviceable, if a little 'tired'.

The staff are excellent - friendly and helpful.

The bus service between Cheddar and Wells is reliable and cheap, and convenient as it stops immediately outside the site.

Overall, we would not return, mainly due to the lack of options for off site walking.
