this site was recmd by another member of this forum.
We visited Bucklegrove out of season,it was lovley and quite. Excllent modern facilites. free showers and free indoor pool (in season). Shop and bar/restaurant/payphone/launderete onsite.Well behaved dogs are very welcome. However dogs must remain on lead at all times. if you need to exercise your dog off the lead you have to go off site, you wont find a specific dog walking area at Bucklegrove.
Hill top position, so lovely views but gets quite windy (good for kite flying, but hold on to your hat!).
Must visit the pretty town of Cheddar and sample the local cider...again hold onto your hat!
We paid £19.00 for 2 nights, hard standing, with awning, with electric, 2 dogs and 4 kids.

A smallish family run site and that shows as they were very friendly. The facilities were clean with free hot showers which were a good size. The shop was a disapointment although they did have the basics, bread, milk. Perhaps it improves during peak period. The swimming pool was out of operation when we went due to maintenance work. Take-aways are available from the bar though not on Sunday lunch times here you can have a two or three course luch which has to be booked in advance.
