We camped here last weekend, a trial run for hubby and I without kids, for one night (so we could see what things we should have brought but hadn't! ).
The first comment I must make is that I think we will find it difficult to get another campsite with facilities as good as this one at the price we paid! £13.50 for the two of us in a 6 berth tent. We had a very friendly welcome to the site which I had just booked earlier that day. On arrival we were able to order a paper for the next morning and basic provisions were available in the reception shop. Without our kids we were able to stay in the back field. An adult only site which meant it was quieter ( a bit too quiet for us though ). The toilet and shower blocks were very clean and well maintained. There were plenty of sinks for washing dishes which again were clean and tidy. We didn't use any other facilities so can't really comment on anything else.
We certainly enjoyed our trial run and would return to the site with the kids!

This is a site that we have been using for three years now. It is a family run site near a lovely village. All the pitches are around the edges making for a feeling of space and openness. All are hardstanding for the caravan with grass for the awning and car. The toilet facilities are excellent and kept spotlessly clean. There is a shop on site selling all the essentials for a weekend stay. A local fish and chip van also visits the site every Saturday. There is also an excellent dog walk on the site with lots of bins for the pooh.
The local village also boasts a very good pub serving excellent food and within walking distance. Supermarkets all within easy reach and only a short hop to Cambridge.
A highly recommended site.

I thought I would do a review for this season. It still has ;
Good clean showers, Friendly staff, Flat pitches, Fantastic dog walk, Separate couple and family areas,
In fact it is still a fantastic campsite and the fish and chips on a Saturday night are lovely.

This site is excellent! I haven't been to a site that is cleaner or one where the owners are friendlier.
The toilets are spotless and there is even a baby room which was great for us and our 10 month old daughter. The site is very spacious. I used the facilities at different times of the day and they were always spotless.
The village is about a mile walk and from there you can catch a bus into Cambridge, to save you packing up if in a campervan. Also in the village is a Costcutter and pub.
Would def recommend, good value for money!

WoW what a wonderful site. We arrived to a wonderful welcome buy the owners onto this wonderful well kept clean and well laid out site. We was booked in and given a booklet with all the site information and local TI details then taken to our pitch in the family section of the site and left to set up.
The site is setup with separate areas separated by tall hedgerows for Caravans,Tents,Adult only and Family's in tents and caravans. Everyone in the right place made the site perfect. Our two girls along with my sister in laws kids played in the play area without us having to worry about them upsetting other campers. Each area has its own very clean washrooms/showers and toilet block along with water and waste points, all the pitches seemed to have electric and were well spaced out.
The site has a nice walk set out around it along the side of the farm fields and give you good views over the Cambridgeshire countryside. You can have milk and papers delivered to your unit each morning and the shop carries a good selection of items including fresh bread, canned items, drinks, ice creams washroom items and a good selection of camping items such as gas, pegs, portaloo liquids and batteries. The site also has an information office full of local info and attraction leaflets but the best bit was the chip van that comes to the site on Saturday evenings, handy after a fun day out when you don't fancy cooking.
We will be going back again and I would recommend it with 5*****.

Just stayed this bank holiday and what a lovely stay we had. As the site was fully booked was expecting to be very busy but they had not over booked and plenty of space was still available where other sites would of crammed campers in. Site is lovely and peaceful, very well organised; families on one area, couples on another. Toilet and shower blocks excellent and very clean. Fish and chip van was a bonus too. Absolutely nothing to complain about. If ever in the area again will definitely go back!

We stayed on this site for a week in July and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were welcoming and were friendly throughout the whole week. Milk and newspapers can be ordered and a small shop sells basic items as well.
The site is well kept with hanging baskets and tubs giving the site a 'well cared' for look. The showers / toilets were really good and spotless at all times.
We used the park and ride to Cambridge a couple of times (£2.20 each return), which was easy to find and use. Cambridge is a lovely city and the open top bus trip well worth the £10.00.
Although we tend to visit different areas each year, we would return to this site if in Cambridge again. Well worth a visit.

As first time campers we chose this site for all the positive reviews and were not disappointed. On top of a hill surrounded by farm land it is quiet and secluded. Plenty of clean toilets and showers, well kept grounds, friendly staff, and lots of room for kids to run about.

We spent just one night at Highfield farm but would visit again and recommend it to others. Dog walk was excellent, the best we have ever seen at a campsite and the facilities were extremely clean.
We were given a choice of pitches and the site was very quiet in the evening.

My wife and I and 2 dogs stayed at this site over the first May Bank Holiday weekend and have been back since for the second May Bank Holiday weekend.
The main reason we initially chose this site was because the dog walk sounded good and I have to say that it was even better than expected. We and the dogs loved it!
It's a very clean site and the owners were very friendly and helpful.
The facilities were also good and clean. Though the showers' water pressure could be better, the water was hot (and are now free!).
It was great having the little shop on site and being able to order our newspaper daily.
The next village, Barton, has a farm shops type complex, which my wife visited and loved, though spent a fortune at the butchers and deli shop!
We will use this site again as it's very convenient to us for weekends away.
