Just back from a lovely weekend at the site. We were here in the spring so it was good to see the fields now with all the crops growing well. We joined a rally instead of being on our own which the owner sorted for us. Lovely lady, very helpful. Last time we were here the chips weren't the best, we gave them another go and enjoyed them. Those who had the fish said it was good, the sausages certainly were.
The owner has worked very hard to make this site special. The walk around the farm (1. 5 miles ) is beautifully mown and even walking. The views are ones you want to stop and look at. We have seen some pretty sunsets there too. We found the pub, which is in walking distance, very friendly Three Horseshoes, dogs are allowed in the snug although we sat in the garden where there are things for kids to climb on. We also found a butchers although shut after 1pm on the Saturday, a post office, hairdressers.
We will be returning. A lovely quiet site, well designed and spacious. Even had a spitfire fly overhead.

We've visited this site many times over the years. The owners are polite, helpful and full of local knowledge - just what we like! The level well drained site is very well maintained and the washrooms have always been the cleanest we have ever experienced (to the point we compare all washrooms to the ones at Highfield). When without children we prefer the top field but when with the children we are always placed in the family field (which is ok with us). The family field has a small play area for children. The last time we used the baby room (about 6 years ago) it was basic but did the job. Unfortunately is wasn’t very warm but then it was Easter so to be expected. Good sized dog exercise area too. Campers kitchen area is well kept and has all a 'tenter' could need. We've visited this site in both our caravan and family tent so can recommend the site for both. Will definitely return as it has become a firm favourite of ours.

Only been motorhoming for 6 months but this is by far the best and cleanest site I have visited. Sectioned off In separate areas with mature well manicured conifers it's a credit to its owners. Situated a few miles outside Cambridge you have a 10 min walk to the bus stop then a 25 min trip into the town.

What a great little site. Previous reviews are spot on. The facilities were so clean and modern. The site itself is well organised with separate areas for different needs of campers. The owner greeted us with a great smile. We were joining a Caravan Club rally and were located in the top field. The dog walk is brilliant. The full walk is 1. 5 miles. Time has been taken to plant daffodils around the walk and the site. Plenty of electric hook ups and water points, rubbish bins too. Dogs are welcome. We didn't get to walk into the village, something for our next visit. We would love to go back again. Not sure we would revisit the chippy van that came to the site, the chips were not good.

Visited over August BH. What a beautifully kept site! Level pitches with some hard standings too. There are several areas to the site, with hedges dividing each area. Showers are some of the best we have ever seen. Kept warm with radiators, so no cold getting undressed. A bit of a walk to the shower block with both women & men in same building, but all separate cubicles with each one having a dressing area of their own. Plenty of toilets dotted around site, again, all centrally heated. Well stocked shop with gaz supplies as well. Fish & chop van visits on a Saturday evening. Owners very friendly & helpful. It's not cheap @ £24 a night with EHU, but it's worth it, a beautifully kept site & one we will return to for sure.
Burwash Manor is not far away & there is a tea rooms there, that does good food, as well as high class shops, including a fab delicatessen.
Cambridge is only 4 miles away, with plenty to see & do in such a fabulous city.

We stayed for one night in August. On arrival we were met with a friendly greeting. We were shown to a pitch surrounded by hedges (useful as a wind break) which breaks the site up into smaller areas giving a little more peace and privacy.
The site was spotless and well maintained, with a number of shower and laundry blocks. One of the blocks with its blue painted brick walls and uniform lay out, brought back warm memories of school in my younger years, along with the red horse ride in the play area.
Overall a pleasant and reasonably priced site.

Just back from our second stay at this great campsite.
Everything was as immaculate as it was last year and our group of four camping families had a fantastic weekend.
The children were initially disappointed when they noticed that the tree house/climbing frame/slide was no longer there but they soon made do with the swings and had a lovely time.
The showers and toilets were spotlessly clean and the owner still personally makes sure that everything is done to make sure guests have nothing to complain about. This really is a well run site and we will certainly come back again.
We had Sunday lunch at The Three Horse Shoes pub and it was absolutely fantastic. I can't recommend it enough. The beer garden and play area is brilliant for families.

Just spent Saturday night at the amazing campsite. Chose this site for reviews but also only an hour from home and wanted to try out the new tent. Telephoned Saturday morning to get booking and the lady could not have been more helpful.
The site really is immaculate and not a spider web to be seen in the showers or toilets. The site is fairly flat and divided into sections, we were on section 2. There are toilets with hand basins and some basins which are curtained off. There are 2 shower blocks one of which is male and female. I was slightly concerned but need not have been as the showers have doors and curtains and bolts! my husband said it was the continental way.
The showers all have chairs and plenty of hooks and hot water.
The Three Horseshoes does serve good food. Cannot comment about facilities for children as we did not have any with us. We will definitely be back soon.

Had a very pleasant long weekend here as part of a club rally.
Quiet and very pleasant site - the welcome provided on our arrival was the best ever!
Good size pitches and facilities very clean. Only downside was no disabled facilities for my wife who found it very difficult to shower. (lack of handrails and suitable seat etc. )
TV reception excellent. Local village within 15 mins walk although local pub was closed and looked a bit 'run-down'.
Excellent 1. 5 mile walk/run/dog walk on site.
Last but not least was an excellent mobile fish and chips on the Saturday!
Would return especially if wanting to visit Cambridge again.

I can only agree with everything that has been written previously. We stayed for 2weeks in August 2014. After a 250mile journey we arrived on site to a warm welcome and delivered to our pitch.
However we were then told that we would have to move our pitch after 7days to rest the grass. After 7 days it was raining torrentially and we were still asked to move pitch. We refused because of the weather. The weather improved after the 11th day and we were then told to change pitch or be asked to leave.
We moved because we had come 250miles and did not want to go home.
I have camped for many years before this and many sites since. I can honestly say we have never come up with this situation before or after. Other site managers were flabbergasted at this reason. 'Grass grows quickly' is always the reply. If we had known this we would never have booked this site.
Lovely site but think about this if you are coming here for a long stay.
Steve. Chris
