June 2003 Great place to camp! We will definitely be going back. You get access to the country park; my boy loved the ariel runway in the play park. Facilities clean and always had hot water. The only downer for me was you need to arrive before 17:30 or you won't get in. Oh well, guess I will just have to leave work early then!

May 2003 Had a fantastic week at Wellington's, ideallic and peacefull, with plenty to do. V.safe and fun for the children. No club house or bar, just beautiful woodland walks with the deer, mini railway, adventure park, mini animal farm, boating lake, mini golf and woodland galde pitches. Highly recommended.

May 2001 my friend and I took our 7 kids between us here last year over a bank holiday, its lovely if you like camping in the woods and has lovely surrondings considering its only in Reading. Lovely lakes and nature trails and nice walks and a brill adventure playground for the kids, the toilets and showers were not bad either nice hot water but the shop was almost non existant long life milk and no bread after 9am.
However, we pitched my mates tent on a lovely pitch in a clearing they are sort of marked out in bays under the trees 2-3 pitches per bay.
It was a brilliant hot day and we all caught the sun, come evening it started to rain behind her tent was a dry stream.
We settled the kids in her 3 sleeping compartments and me and her decided to sleep in the main part of the tent, we lay there listening to the rain and thunder getting louder and louder by 2 am we was still awake chatting while the kids slept peacefully and I heard the sound of running water, I reached for the thomas the tank engine torch and as my friend told me it was only the rain and I was imagining it I shone the torch across the floor of the tent.
We both leapt up in shock as 6 inches of water swept through the tent with us frantically grabbing whatever we could all our cursing woke all the 7 kids who were nice and snug in the sleeping compartments with the waterproof liners so all they could do was look out as we paddled rescuing our stuff we unzipped the front of the tent to see the pitch we was on entirely under water the dry stream was no where to be seen under the torrent of water.
Theres was so many people up walking round the site at that time in the morning one guy even offered us the loan of his broom yeh right think it was a bit late for that
Luckily we both had big cars so we ferried the dry kids to the cars with there bedding so they could all settle back to sleep while my friend an I continued to move floating ground sheets and belongings deressed in just nighties and undies.
come morning we went to find the park warden as some people on another pitch told us the one we was on always flooded and the park knew this and they had the nerve to put my mate and me with 7 kids on it
the park offered to dry all our wet stuff and supplied us with 6 blokes to lift the tent while erect and carry to another pitch in the park and they sent a flat back van to sort all our belongings out so off went the 3 bedroom tent with a guy on each leg carrying through the forest to a dry higher pitch, I so wish I had the video camera it caused quite a stir.
we settled on the new dry pitch and all the guys helped us get set back up and stayed and had a beer with us 2 days later we was walking through the park to see our original pitch was still underwater both our husbands thought it hilarious when we called them the following night
On the whole I do have to credit this park for the assistance they offered us even though it was them who booked us on the pitch in the beginning lol
