Absolute beautiful place to spend some time.
Good pitches, good facilities. Everything good.
(Maybe not the mobile reception, but who really cares?)

The late arrival procedure meant that we did not have to worry about any hold ups on the motorways.
The camp facilities were good and cleaned regularly. We also had a variety of pitches to choose from when we booked.
As a family we spent quite a bit of time at the Country Park and with it's Halloween themed activities (suitable for children of all ages) it was great fun for the whole family.
Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent campsite, well run, great shower and toilet block and a lovely park to visit especially the animals. Great views of the deer.
Bad point; Appalling vegetarian Breakfast on Sat 8th @ 10am.
Food had obviously been pre -cooked and kept in a hot plate, there was nothing on the servery to view, lights were off!
1 Cold baked beans
2 overcooked sausages
3 Cold overcooked hash browns
4 The worst items were fried eggs which were dry and hard and had been cooked a lot earlier.
5. Toast was dry and of very poor quality.
The waitress was very accommodating and helpful, however when my wife returned the beans (cold) the female chef gave her such a dirty look!
£15. 90 for 2 cold breakfasts which we had been looking forward to!
We have both been in catering for over 30 years, chef needs training and attitude adjustment.
Customer service score is for the breakfast not the site or other employees.
Overall a lovely place to visit.
Thank you

We hadn't been here for several years, but were visiting family in reading so decided to give it a try again as it is a fifteen minute drive to the town centre.
The staff were friendly and efficient, the pitches were tidy and very spacious. We had a pitch that allowed us to watch the deer feeding at dusk and in the early morning. Access is via a locked gate which keeps things secure.
After 6pm the main gate is also locked but the same key fits. As a camper you have access to the park during the day and after 5. 30pm which is when the public leave and it is a lovely walk around the lake.
There is a pub which is a thirty minute walk from your accommodation and it does very good food.
Will be back again.

The pitches are large and set in a wooded area - if you are with friends you can choose to book adjacent pitches in an area isolated from others by trees.
Children can go off and play in the woods - and poor TV reception and WIFI limited to the area around the toilet block means that they are likely to play rather than spend time watching screens. Entry to the park is included, which is fantastic for little ones.
One disadvantage is having to unlock the gate on entry and exit, but understandable as you can gain entry to the park from the campsite. If you go out after the park is closed, you have to unlock and lock the main gate too, but it wasn't a problem.
The toilet block was nice and warm in the mornings.

We booked here as a last minute weekend away, it's certainly different to any other site we've stayed at, all pitches are in the woods and individual.
Facilities were nice and clean and as a bonus your pitch fee also gives free access to the country park. As it's only 10 miles from home this will be a regular place for a chill out break.

Just a day visitor. Equidistant from family homes in rugby, Brighton and Christchurch. This place is fantastic. And cheap.
Everything poss has been thought of. And not a speck of litter. I’d give it 20 stars.
Crikey I don’t know what these people have for breakfast but I’d like some.

My 2 daughters and I had a great weekend at Wellington. Lovely facilities (although when they're being cleaned it's a bit of a walk to the alternative). Showers were nice and hot.
My daughters were a little too old to fully make use of the free park, but the walks are lovely which more than made up for the play equipment being too small! Fab if you have smaller kids.
The staff were really helpful (i paid extra for late departure). Shop was nice, I didn't use the cafe.
The site is really pretty. I was near my neighbours but secluded enough. Lovely to wake up to birdsong!
The closest Tescos was in Chineham.

Have stayed here several times since April. Easy access off M4 and A33. Lovely wooded site, but even the hardstandings get muddy when wet. Shower block is modern and very clean and warm but three showers in both male and female blocks is not enough for a potential 87 pitches including tents.
Laundry room and covered dish washing area located next to shower block. Access to campsite via a locked gate for which you are given a key. Park cafe provides breakfast which we did not try.
Full motorhome waste disposal facilities provided, numerous water points throughout the site. Bus stop a few yards outside park for bus No7 once an hour to Reading. Great place for families as park's play facilities and walks included in pitch price.

. Easy to find
. Helpful check-in staff
. Nice and secluded wooded location
. Spacious pitches with lots of space between you and the neighbours.
. Well set up for water, lecky, waste.
. Warm and clean toilet block
. Dark as there are no lights.
Only niggle was the two gates to unlock/relock, perhaps a barrier would have been easier.
Easy access to Reading and Basingstoke both are worth a visit.
