We stayed at this site for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, our pitch was huge the toilet blocks were cleaned although the day, the only minor downside is that they could do with more showers!
The site is also very secure there is an entry gate that is locked at all times and you are given a key to used throughout your stay.
The country park was fantastic so much to do and unlimited access even when the park was closed to the public campers could still go in this meant that my children had most things all to themselves (swings, zip slide etc) every evening,
The park also put on themed entertainment at no extra cost during our stay the children had cart rides pulled by shire horses and cowboys & Indians where they could do craft and play games.
Legoland is about 40mins away, there are local farm shops & pubs which serve food close by and a tesco about 10mins away in hook.
Some might say that the site is a bit pricey but we certainly got our monies worth as there was so much to entertain the kids we didn't have to spend extra money on days out.
In my opinion this site is well worth a stay and we will definitely be going back

This was our first camping trip as a family although my wife and I have enjoyed camping trips throughout europe with our respective parents as adolescents.
Wellington Country Park is a very nice family site in a beautiful location.
The service we received here was excellent providing us with a large pitch required for our trailer tent by advance arrangement.
The pitch was very large and flat.
The lady who took our booking was very helpful and informative during the booking process.
The toilet blocks were very clean and well presented and although there dd not seem to be enough showers we never had a problem getting one when we went.
The site was peaceful and tranquil.
The restaurant and shop was also a very well presented and spotlessly clean.
Our eldest daughter aged 10 enjoyed the park immensely but unfortunately our youngest became ill (not related to the campsite and a short lived illness) otherwise she would have thoroughly enjoyed it too.

Great site. We stayed here with a group of friends in tents (total 8 adults + 3 small kids). We were all able to pitch together in a little 'clearing' in the woods, which made it seem very private even though we were quite close to the shower and washing up facilities.
Despite the closeness, there was no noise from other people using the shower block to disturb us. The shower block was clean and warm with plenty of space for ensuring your clothes stayed dry. And there were larger sized cubicles for those with kids so they didn't have to squeeze into a 'normal' cubicle.
The wardens were very helpful but discrete and not too 'pushy'. They even tried to scare up some tent poles for one of our group who managed to forget his!
The inclusion of the access to the park in the price makes it super value - the park offers loads of stuff for kids of a range of ages to do and the grown ups enjoyed it too. You also get direct access to it from the site and can get in before/after public access. We didn't really leave the site for the whole weekend as there was plenty to amuse the kids. The weather was mainly OK so all the outdoor activities were great.
Even though it is part of the country park, the site itself is away from the park and there was no noise from it or access to the campsite to park users that weren't staying there.
The farm shop is not part of the site, but is a short walk away (about 15 mins max) - beware this is along a very busy road with no pavement, so not really suitable for those with kids to do. The shop is great though - we bought some excellent stuff for the BBQ.
Would definitely recommend it.

We stayed over the May BH weekend.
There had been tons of rain in the week or so beforehand and some of the pitches were waterlogged, so we couldn't have our first choice, but the pitch we did end up on was huge and very private (we opted for a premium pitch).
It is a forest so was really muddy but despite that the toilet blocks were kept clean.
They had a Ben & Jerrys ice cream vending machine - what a fab idea! Wellington Park itself was good, our little one loved it.
The only criticism is that there wasn't a quiet after x time policy and there were a few noisy groups on site who didn't show any consideration for others.

Stayed at Wellington for 3 nights after the Easter bank holiday. Smashing site with large flat pitches. Good shower and toilet facilities which were always clean, though the showers were a little cramped when trying to shower children.
Wellington Park is ideal during the daytime as so much to do for the kids with activities arranged throughout the year, but after closing it gets better as campers have full use of the park to themselves and kids can ride around on their bikes in safety and play on empty playgrounds etc. We didn't need to leave the site throughout our stay and we had four kids to keep amused (all under 10) which wasn't a problem as so much for them to do.
Site very secure with locked gates at entrance and site wardens caravan at the middle of the site.

Stayed here for a couple of nights in the week leading up to Easter, as we were heading down to Sussex, but I had work to do in Hook, so we used the site as a work base for two days.
Site is lovely - the pitches are large, level and well drained, laid out in a large circle with good facilities in the centre. Toilets, showers etc are OK - have a personal hate for shower curtains because they stick to wet skin, but that apart, the water was hot and plentiful.
We didn't visit the park due to work commitments, but the site felt quiet, tranquil and secure, being behind to sets of locked gates at night.
Will certainly visit again.

Spent 5 days here after Easter, not the best weather put hey you have to expect the unexpected in April! Lovely campsite, nice woodland area making it feel private but not totally alien to other campers, very quiet also but the site was probably only a third full. The park adjoined is fabulous, we only went during the day a couple of times but saved the real expeditions to the evenings when the park was shut as then you can take bikes and it's a large park. My girls age 6 and 4 had a wonderful time as had the zip wire mostly to themselves! My only niggle were the showers, why they have to build them so small when there is plenty of room I do not know. The shower is very high (I am 5ft 6') and hits the shower curtain so the only way to get wet is to have the shower curtain stuck to your back (or front!) Really tricky to shower the kids in as by the time the water got down to their height it was a trickle. Everything else was great though and we had a fabulous time!

Absolutely love this site. The pitches are huge and well maintained. Plenty of room for children to play tennis etc next to the caravan and without disturbing others. Dogs can be tethered on a long lead and not go off the pitch. Very quiet and pretty site. Showers are good, water generally hot. Washing up facilities always clean and plenty of hot water. There are lovely walks around the lake and in the evening site residents get the place to themselves other than a few people fishing. There is a lovely farm area with plenty to see. The staff have always been friendly and welcoming. The site is always kept clean.
Only downside, the site is getting quite expensive.

We had 2 pitches booked for the Bank Holiday weekend. The weather wasn't looking too good, and we phoned ahead and they confirmed that one pitch was ready, so we could arrive early.
By the time we arrived, only 30 minutes away, the other pitch was ready. Wardens on site were very helpful, and to come round to make sure everything ok.
Toilet blocks were really clean, although they were very busy, and I really feel that they should try and put another block on site somewhere.
We were at pitches 4 and 5 with electric hook up, and although not ideal for tents, we didn't have any major issues. Picnic benches are dotted around for use, which was very useful.
Plenty to do on site for little ones, with 'themed' activities.
I would go again, but I think on a less busy weekend, but nonetheless, an enjoyable time was had, and would thoroughly recommend.
