Stayed May bank holiday weekend. This is a really good site. Its clean and tidy, and very spacious. Being only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Glastonbury, it attracts the weird and wonderful, but that's part of its charm. The shop is well stocked, and the owner is friendly and helpful. The local pubs serve good food, though a bit pricey. If good old fish & chips is what you fancy, I challenge anyone to find better than Knights Restaurant, and its pretty much the closest restaurant to the campsite. Loads to do in the surrounding area. I wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back.

All the good things have been said before and I feel they are all correct. We visited in very cold weather (it even silenced the cockerel) so I will add a few comments regarding this.
The shower block, although immaculately clean, is a little under heated for very cold weather. The electric circuits are a little critical although easy to reset - I am sure I was not using 10a when they tripped.
A big plus is the footpath beside the site which is ideal for walking a dog once you get through the chicken run! I saw the heron and two kingfishers along this which set the day off to a very good start. I recommend this site.

This is a great all year round site, ideally suited to those who like to keep touring through all seasons.
I was greeted by a very friendly welcome at 9.30 on a cold late October evening, which unlike some campsites, didn't appear to have put the owners out.
The site is pleasantly laid out, units are fairly tightly packed in, but it doesn't feel too regimented. The toilets are never too far away from any of the pitches and are kept spotlessly clean, are large and spacious.
There appeared to be a well stocked shop, but it wasn't open whilst I was there, although this isn't a problem as the centre of Glastonbury is only a five minute walk away, if walking at night, take a torch as there are no pavements in parts. Try the fish and chips on the way into to town, well worth it and there are nice cafes for breakfast.
Terrestrial TV reception was perfect, although I wasn't able to receive digital reception on my new mini TV, probably something to do with all the trees at the site.
All in all worth a visit, a good site, a pleasant little town and beautiful surrounding area.

Just arrived back from this site, and will definitely be visiting again when I'm next in the area! The tent field was very quiet due to the time of year so we could pitch anywhere, unfortunately we pitched right next to the cockerel, which I agree should be made into a pie, but we did see the funny side.
The campsite itself was great, very secure, liked the idea of barriers so cars can't just come in and out willy-nilly. Staff were friendly and helpful, toilet blocks and especially showers were fantastic, no shortage of lovely hot water which was much appreciated given the cold weather!
As mentioned by others, the location is great for a walk into town, plenty of supermarkets within a ten minute drive so you can stock up on your food. Plenty of pubs in the town too.
We visited The Tor (excellent), Glastonbury Abbey (gorgeous) and Cheddar Gorge (well worth a visit). Our friends visited the nearby Clarks Village and said that's well worth a visit too, especially if you're a bargain hunter.
Overall, a top notch site, can't praise enough!

We visited this site for a long weekend at the end of Aug begining of Sept. The staff are friendly and helpful, the shower and toilet facilities are excellent and Glastonbury is 10 minutes walk away, so we never had to drive into town.
The site was not very busy and it was very quiet at night. It has a very mellow and relaxed atmosphere - how many other sites have a resident Clairvoyant?
Other reviews have mentioned the road nearby and the noisy cockerel. We did not find the noise of these to be at all disruptive, but if you want total silence these could get to you.
I think this site is excellently placed to explore Glastonbury on foot and Wells, Cheddar and Bath by car.
Overall, an excellent site.

This is a good site. Great pride was taken in the cleanliness of the toilet and shower blocks. We arrived soon after weeks of heavy rain. The camping field was wet and had been cut up by car tyres before they stopped vehicles going on to the field, but staff offered to move us to a pitch with hard standing if it was too wet. We stayed where we were so that we could get an electric hook up and it was okay, if you had packed wellies. The staff were co-operative and helpful. The hook up point looked unsafe, it was put right straight away, and was replaced by a new one (with a wooden roof to keep the rain off) within 24 hours. Staff also came out and helped when our gas stove needed a part replaced. The site shop was very limited. We got caught out by arriving on a Sunday afternoon and discovered that most things in Glastonbury were closed. There was an excellent Indian restaurant on the main shopping street which found a table for 6 for us. The Tor, Chalice gardens, Cheddar Gorge, Wells and Weston Super Mare are all worth a visit.

Very friendly site, well stocked shop, great toilets and showers. £14.00 a night very reasonable, although the pitches are quite small and don't allow for much privacy. There are a large number of european visitors to the site, as Glastonbury is a great place to visit and world famous. There are really good eating places in the town, and lots of unusual shops. The place is unique, expect to sit next to a barefoot white witch whilst enjoying your coffee in one of the many cafes. Its a great place to sit back and take in the atmosphere and go with the flow.

5 Star site on the edge of Glastonbury town but quite quiet and rural. The cockerel in the smallholding next door could do with being made into a Pie but – hey – this is the Countryside!
Good sized caravan hardstandings with grass areas to pitch the awning on. Never feel squashed in here! 10 amp mains electrics can sometimes catch you out. Big tent field with little pitching discipline can lead to some overcrowding at Peak weekends but not a big problem. Well mown. Very soft ground – brilliant for pegging but a tendency to get soggy when it rains a lot.
No Play Park for children – YIPPEE! So a good site for Adults not wanting the noise of other caravanners Little Cherubs to disturb the Karma.
Superb toilet and facilities block, regularly cleaned and well deserving of its Loo Of The Year award, year upon year. Free showers with seemingly unlimited hot water. Unheated - Can be a big a big cool in the colder seasons.
Small shop with the usual site items. A “Takeaway” for chips, bacon sandwiches etc etc and things, always freshly cooked and great for a breakfast “al fresco” if you can’t be bothered to cook! Huge freezer in the "Utilies Room" is FREE to use.
Site owners and Managers live on the Site and I have always found them efficient and pleasant to deal with.
I think it is tremendous value for money for a 5 Star caravan site. A few minutes leisurely walk to the very centre of Glastonbury.
