 Good level site. Easy access from the main road.

Clean toilets/showers, although we didn’t use them so can’t comment on how well they functioned.

Perfectly situated for a 10 minute walk into town - this was an absolute bonus. Just 20 mins or so walk to the base of the tor.

The site was quite exposed, though, and the wind and rain really whipped across.

 The site was in good condition considering the awful weather, was easily accessable at all hours (security key-fob provided) & was mostly quiet, apart from a cock at three in the morning.

Oh yes, the ladies showers did not get hot & only one was working which was not good.

Other than that though we did have a nice stay & will use it again.

 Decent site about 15 mins from town centre. Not v busy just after school holidays.

Shower block is adequate. There is shop on site although didn't appear to be open when we stayed.

Pitches were large. Owner was helpful. Poured down when we were there!

 Con's: owner seems to like her drink but she remains relatively sober and able to do simple math's but keep an eye on her and check your tickets dates!; in September the whole site seemed a little uncared for and grass was long and uncut; shop and reception closed unless you rang a bell for attention when they would come from a house on the site; the tent 'field' is only half a field (the rest given to caravans or campers); some trees are decidedly risky to camp under!; there are roads either side of the site one of which seems always busy.

Pro's: lovely large shower block with large cubicles; plenty of hot water; clothes washers, dryers, iron and board; staff leave you alone but helpful when approached; gas bottles available; gate security barriers which you need a key from reception for; 10 min walk in to Glastonbury(bottom of High Street); toilet block cleaned daily. A reasonable charge for a large tent including EHU; showers were ok to operate but some you have to keep pushing in a button to keep water flowing;

All in all I would recommend this site but not for September/ end of the season. I enjoyed my stay but would look for another site next time at Glastonbury. I've seen complaints about cockerels early in morning but they didn't bother me, however the nearby reclamation yard seemed a little noisy at times; I think I may have heard a firing range in the distance too!

 We have used this site many times (annually for a five year run) as it is a great base from which to explore the area. Our only complaint was that the tent field used to get a little boggy with heavy rain but now the site has moved more towards caravans and motorhomes with little room left for true camping.

The camping field is now full of hard standings and an extension of the road with no attempt to raise the remaining grass areas which are at the bottom of the field (mind the underside of your cars peeps when getting on or off the road) or under the trees at the top (really safe).

Customer service has become a thing of the past - felt hurried through the check in process and was not really welcomed as before. It is a shame as the shower block is great and the shop provides the essentials despite it only being a short walk into Glastonbury town centre.

Will only being doing short stays if we have to from now on - this year we went B&B rather than camp here hence our low ratings - historically would have been 8s and 9s across the board

 Our 2nd time staying at this site overnight on the way home from Cornwall. Clean and welcoming. Glastonbury town is 10 minutes walk away, and an unusual place to visit. Would stay here again. Great reclamation yard next door

 This is an excellent site about 10 minutes stroll from the centre of Glastonbury and its rather singular (but chilled) atmosphere. The camping ground is very clean, tidy and well laid out. The toilet block is very good with some of the best showers I have encountered, and as much hot water as you like, no silly tokens. The staff are friendly & on the ball. Glastonbury is a welcoming place, the Abbey grounds are beautiful, interesting and much bigger than you'd expect in a small town, plus some stonking pubs with good food e. G. Hawthorns Hotel: good for curries. I did encounter the tripping out electrical problem but it took seconds to restore, easy to manage. Finally try a brisk walk up Glastonbury Tor to give you an appetite. Will definitely visit again.

 Agree with most other reviews: Clean site, well equipped toilet block, friendly staff(a bit off the wall), good location, dog friendly pubs etc. Only criticism was electric supply was very temperamental. Kept tripping out when no where near load limit. Apparently its been like it for years but hasn't been sorted.
