July 2004 I decided to go away on holiday with a few girls from work but none of us had saved up any money for a fancy holiday so we decided to go away for the weekend camping, when one of the girls suggested folly farm she said she had saw it advertised on the internet. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly man called Charlie, (and his lovely, friendly dog), who showed us where to set up our tents. After we were all set up he came round and collected the money, it was the chepest holiday i have ever been on. The land was so beautiful and peaceful and everyone was so friendly. When you get up in the morning the first thing you see are the chickens and the peacock it really is a wonderful sight to wake up to! i would highly recomend this site to everyone i can promise you, you will never have a better time at such a low price.

August 2004 Well what can I say. A first class service at a fantastic price. The scenery was absolutely stuning with views to die for, creating the perfect relaxing atmosphere you want when you go for a summer break. The customer service is second to none. Even though the campsite was busy me an my girlfriend were both treated like vip's by a very helpful friendly guy, the campsite manager, Charlie. He catered to all our whims and really made us feel welcome. As animal lovers another great attraction to the site is the wildlife, especially the peacock as i had never seen one before. Theres Tess, a German shepherd belonging to Charlie, who is a very lovable dog although quite shy, and the chickens, all on site. After a fantastic time I would definatly recomend folly farm campsite to all others, an inteand to return next year.

August 2004 Enjoyed our stay at Folly Farm. Although we went in August it wasn't very busy (possibly due to the rather wet weather). We didn't have to queue for toilets or showers at all. Basic but clean.
Charlie was great with my children, giving then new laid eggs and letting them help feed the chickens.
Saw the peacock but didn't hear it!
Beautiful location.

16th July 2004 The wife & I have just returned from a 2 night camping break. On our arrival we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful man called Charlie. We opted to stay in the larger field which was square, flat and well maintained. We found this site to be very friendly and quiet at night. The toilet, shower block was clean, but we felt were quite inadequate as we often had to queue for one of the two showers to become empty.
It was a great location for walks and journeys in the car. We enjoyed ourselves so much we are going back in 3 weeks time. We would like to point out that the peacock didn't cause us too much noise!

June 2004 This was our family’s first camping trip so I don’t have anything to gauge this site against but from the time we arrived the site manager / caretaker Charley was incredibly helpful, on finding out this was our first camping trip he placed us close to the toilet block and looked in on us frequently to make sure we were ok. The field we were on had loads of room for the kids to play, even with ten tents on our field it felt very quiet.
The facilities were clean and more than adequate even when it got busy. There are two male, two female and a disabled toilet, two main showers and two external showers, three sinks for washing up and one for personal hygiene, electric sockets for hairdryer\shavers. Only once over the weekend did I see a queue for the toilets which wasn’t bad considering there were upward of forty caravans and tents on the site.
The local area is beautiful and in the weekend we spent there we only just scratched the surface of the things to see and do so we will definately be returning there soon.

June 2004 We have just bought a new tent and need to try it out. This is a nice quiet site apart from the Peacock!
There are two fields for tents with toilets, showers and washing up facilities.
The warden was extremely friendly and helpful.
I thoroughly recommend the site as it is very handy for Bouton on the Water and the Cotswolds.

May 2004 Small campsite set in beautiful surroundings well placed for touring the Cotswolds.
Being the May bank holiday the site was extremely packed mostly with families but also quite a few groups who were drinking into the early hours.
Owner appears to live on site in a caravan. Extremely helpful and friendly but his dog and the peacocks seemed to be in competition as to who could make the most noise late into the night.
Facilities were as previously mentioned with probably a 10 minute queue for the shower in the mornings which wasn't too bad.
In summary probably suited for young couples without children and certainly not if you want peace and quiet.

September 2003 Lovely site in a really nice area. Excellent for walking. However, owner came across as unfriendly which would make me think twice about going back.

August 2003 I concur with everything everyone else has said. Good site with clean, basic facilities and nice owners. Good atmosphere and good for local trips etc. Excellent idea to recycle bottles etc (we got through a lot). Made some good friends. Will go back.

August 1 to 3, 2003 Basic site, but well positioned close to Bourton on the Water and the Slaughters (like Bourton, only less touristy, without the touristy shops, and therefore more pleasant).
We had the absolute dream mountain bike expedition from this site, which passed through endless staggering Cotswolds scenery and saw us drinking Rose Cava from Somerfields and fish and chips by the river in Bourton. Bliss!
Would definitely go back again, if it wasn't for the profusion of other lovely sites across the county.
