Stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of the Easter weekend. Got a really friendly welcome from the owners/wardens; they really were the main asset of this site, as there were very high winds as storm Katie passed through, and they were busy throughout our stay helping people pack-up/fix their units.
The facilities are dated and could really do with knocking down and starting again. It was also a bit disappointing to have to pay a £1 for the showers considering the nightly cost, again they also need a total overhaul. Having said that, everything was regularly cleaned so not complaints around cleanliness, very good.
There was good walking direct from the site with a good range of footpaths to choose from, taking you in to the nice countryside surrounding the site.
There is a handy 'cabin' that has useful local information. There is also a small amount of supplies that can be purchased from the reception hut (toothpaste, brushes, etc. ).
Overall, a well laid out friendly site.

Phoned to book this campsite and was welcomed with a friendly manner on the phone, a few weeks later I had to phone up and change the date and this wasn't a problem very happy to the change the date then a week later had to phone up and ask to add on another tent and again this wasn't a problem.
On arriving to the site we were met by a friendly greeting who told us where everything was and our pitch.
The campsite was quiet, beautiful and loads of room for the kids and dog to run around, basically everything you need for a weekend camping trip.
And with Bourton on the Water only a 5 minute driver I can't think of a better campsite to stay at.
Looking forward to booking again

I booked this last minute and the owners were very accommodating to fit us in.
We arrived on site and it was hard to locate anyone initially to find out where we were positioned however I did stumble across someone and we were soon in place.
A nice, relatively small and quiet site with flat pitches however the toilets and washing up facilities do need upgrading. The 2 female toilet block had a small hand basin to use but it was clear that tooth brushing was not to be done in it, instead tooth brushing was to be done at the back of the block where it looked like the dishes should be washed and if it was dark there were no lights. The toilets in the morning had run out of loo paper and one of the showers the lock had broken, therefore one would not use it with the risk of someone opening the door and you would be on direct show to the site!
Its a shame really because the amenities let this lovely site down.

Great site. Very helpful, polite staff.
Flat pitches. 3 separate areas.
1 under trees. 1 for tents. Middle bit with large play field in centre. Easy to keep an eye on kids.
Large flat pitches.
Grass well kept&short.
Freezer&fridge available.
Good information hut.
Washing up facilities ok with free hot water. Could do with update.
Showers+loos, likewise, could do with overhaul. When site is full needs more of both.
Showers £1 for 10 mins.
Cost us £25 per night, would have thought it could have included showers.
Other than that, lovely site. Would return any time.

A lovely, picturesque site, surrounded by fields of crops with excellent walks straight from the site. We visited Bourton-on-the-Water (a fairly long but walkable distance with our kids aged 7&9) and the pretty village of Cold Aston (only a 1 mile walk) where there was a village fete happening.
The facilities are simple but clean and the people friendly.
We would definitely return and would recommend the site to other families for a thoroughly relaxing break in one of the most beautiful areas in England.

I would highly recommend this campsite. The well kept grounds, amongst some beautiful views whilst relaxing on a summers evening.
The walks are well signposted following the yellow arrows. I would recommend the short walk into Cold Aston, some lovely views on the way with a pub at the end.
The owners of this site are lovely, polite and accommodating.
The pitches are very large enough room for children to play.
Facilities are kept clean they are basic but what more do you need.
I would definitely visit this campsite again. ☺

We spent two nights here as an alternative to a nearby site we usually go to.
We were given a friendly welcome on arrival. Site is split into three sections and they are all neat and tidy. Toilets were adequate/clean and fit for purpose. In my opinion the showers and wash up area need modernising. The shower costs £1 for 10 minutes. They are the electric type - hot, but you do need 10 minutes! As many reviewers have flagged up this £1 for a shower lark really does detract from what is otherwise quite a nice site. The cost for us per night was £20 (including £1 for the dog) with EHU - why the owner does not include a provision for the shower money in this is beyond me - simply not worth the negative feeling generated.
There are some walks available from the site but the footpaths exiting from the south side of the site are quite confusing and poorly marked. This is not the fault of the site but of the local authority. Recommended walks seem to be going north from the site across the road. It is possible to walk south cross country to Cold Aston avoiding roads (25 mins);but in my opinion, I got the feeling that walkers are discouraged, as the ROW involves going through the driveway of private residences.

Phoned up to book last minute, was politely told that they were fully booked. Warden then phoned back to say that a space had come available due to so some leaving Unexpectantly, brilliant, thanks for phoning back!
Got there, was shown to pitch and facilities explained, and left to it.
Facilities- BASIC- toilet and shower block was very dated and dirty. They are inhabited by all sorts of insects and their houses (just a brush will get rid of them) and there are no lights in some of them, not great for night time use. No sinks in some, you have to wash in the outside sinks, which are also where you are asked to wash and brush teeth, in dirty outdoor sinks, whatever the weather, what ever the time, again no lights. Showers are roomy, not pleasant but ample, and 10 mins of hot water for £1, so the wife and I shared a shower and cut the cost! At times there was also a lovely aroma from the bathrooms of the drainage and sewerage.
The facilities need looking at as this really put a damper on what is otherwise a decent site.
The site itself is clean, friendly and family oriented. There was lots of space for the families in the middle to play all sorts of games, great atmosphere.
Pitches are next to huge nettle beds however, could these be cut back so they are safer and more pleasant with it being a family site? They allowed for a lot of flies, spiders and wasps to live in close proximity to the tents (and in our tent ha ha)
The shop is limited, but coop in bourton is 3 miles away so no problem, could cash I'm on family spending things like ice creams and small toys/gifts/sun creams etc.
Pub- site claims it is a short walk over a field, this is not strictly true as the path has recently been changed, with confusing maps, to go over two fields, through overgrown nettle beds and through another field, up a steep path and then you arrive. First day we were not in the correct footwear as were were told it was over a field. Pub is friendly and serves good food, the village is welcoming and friendly.
The area is beautiful and everyone is happy to help, and welcoming. Good food, good places to visit, good fun all in all.
If the facilities were overhauled, maybe knocked down and a porta cabin installed, with lighting and pleasant clean looking rooms, were would consider returning. In their current state, we will not.

What an amazing campsite. Firstly I rang on the day of arrival to check they had space for a tent. They didn't. Minutes later the owner rang me back and said they had a space. We arrived and had a friendly welcome and a space which we had specified. It is very peaceful there but also great for adults only and for children. Big spaces for children to walk around and great footpath walks. The facilities are good especially as we were pitched near but too near! Close to Bourton on water which is lovely.
Would definitely visit again.

Very quite site, great for a relaxing holiday. There is a field which is used for families and a quite field for adults only. Only downside for us was, we were charged for a large camper, but looked on web, queried and cost was adjusted, no arguments. There are 4 showers, big enough for a family to get in, costing £1 for 10 mins. Toilets, washing and pot cleaning areas are very clean as is the whole site. Plenty of footpaths to walk down. Bourton on the water is approx 2. 5 miles away. We did go the Coach and Horses pub for a drink, only to be told that when I come and get another drink it will be more expensive, asked why, lady said ' thought you we're a local and we have a different rate for locals', can't really type my reply. Lol needless to say wouldn't go back, but would go back to the campsite.
