Tried Wyton Lakes purely from what other UKCampsite members have said here.
The site is lovely and well maintained - not all crammed in together in squares.
Facilities are kept really clean and tidy.
Though I'm not into fishing it was lovely sit and watch the water and even sit on the benches overlooking the river (still on the site).
Local facilities are great with a massive garden centre opposite that even sells milk and bread! And a great bus route just outside the park.
Liked it so much, we booked up again on our way out :)

A beautiful site, we had a very relaxing few days. Excellent facilities. Lovely and clean. Very friendly. Large pitch. Looking forward to becoming regular visitors. Hook up and water.
Close to town, pub, garden centre. Short drive to Huntingdon. There is also a regular bus service

Our second weekend at this lovely site. The owners are really friendly & helpful and wear a range of really great slogan Tshirts. The facilities are spotless with a range of showers either with a loo in them or not. The pitches are really good and all in lovely spots near or by the lakes. If you are a fisherman or woman you can fish off your pitch on some of them. We can highly recommend Barney's Plaice in Huntingdon for Fish & Chips, my hubby said it was the most professionally run shop he's seen and spotlessly clean. This site is so near some great places to visit all mentioned in other reviews but we found Johnsons just down the road a ways. A farm shop plus. The plus being a small animal collection including crocodiles! The farm shop was stunning with some amazing home made produce and some unusual buys. We bought Buffalo steak which was delicious.
This site offers something that few do, an understanding of what we campers want. If you check when you arrive and the pitch you are on is not required after you leave then you can stay till 4pm with no extra charge. Also if you ring up the night before you go and no one is on your pitch then you can arrive by 9:00am. What value for money in an industry that doesn't allow you on till 12 or 1 and wants you off by 11 or 12. You can also choose your pitch when you book. This is one of our favourite sites now and we will be regulars there.

Lovely quiet site by the lakes. Toilet and shower facilities were very clean, although one part was closed off, but easily enough facilities for the amount of people there. Very quiet, only us in the tent field, so nice and peaceful. Walked down to Barley Mow, which is a lovely pub and good food and the King of Belgiums. Also nice quaint pub. Nice walk as there is a cycle and bus lane, to save walking near the busy main road. Only disadvantage is there are a lot of geese and they do make a mess, but don't know how that can be rectified when it is on a lake, so the geese and ducks freely come and go. Not far to Huntingdon, although too far to walk, there and back. Would definitely go again.

What can I say? Fantastic! The site is beautiful and boasts 4 fishing lakes (although we didn't fish they were lovely to gaze out on to). We stayed in the spacious 2 bedroom chalet for 5 nights which was very nice, fully fitted kitchen and dining area, huge TV room and two bedrooms one with en suite, and a vey comfy bed. Very friendly wardens, near to many amenities, looking forward to returning soon

Due to its location near the A14 and the peace and quiet, this is the fourth time here and although not a fisherman there is plenty of bird life about, can't be many sites with Reed Warbler breeding by your doorstep and Common Terns fishing on the lakes. The garden centre across the road sells just about everything including booze but a tad expensive. Bus stop near the marina to Cambridge or Huntingdon. Paid £22/night with ehu and own water tap with a view of the lake.

Really enjoyed our recent stay at Wyton Lakes Holiday Park.
It's so ideally situated: opposite a very large garden centre that sells all sorts (including a great local butchers), two local pubs and great bus service from just outside the park.
The park facilities are VERY clean and tidy with a locally relaxed atmosphere.
Will definitely go back again.

Booked this campsite at very short notice (on the morning) for a one night stay as part of a last minute bikepacking adventure as our intended campsite at Houghton Mill was fully booked. Although located just outside Wyton village, its opposite the garden centre, and is only a short walk to the two village pubs and village store/newsagent. Its an adult only site (the first one I have stayed on) and it was so quiet and peaceful! The pitches for caravans/motorhomes are predominantly hardstanding and each back on to one of the 3 fishing lakes on site – with virtually every pitch having its own swim. There is also fishing on a section of the riverbank. I believe it was an extra £5 per day for the fishing. We arrived on bikes, to a friendly welcome and were the only ones camping on the grassed tent area. Ample facilities on site - clean toilet/shower block with laundrette and indoor washing up areas plus free ice pack freezing facility. We liked this site so much so that we’ve booked to go back, this time with fishing kit!

We have been coming to this site regularly for the last 6 years. What a disappointment when we arrived this year. The site looks in need of some tender loving care. The toilet block was OK but toilet seats were hanging off and the whole place looked like it needed a thorough clean. The area around the lakes was covered in geese poo which was not very pleasant, and no-one made any attempt to clear it up. The fishing was poor, no-one seemed to be catching anything. We will not be returning.

Just back from our annual Easter visit to Wyton Lakes.
Loved it, even storm Katie didn't spoil our fun.
Management, as ever, friendly, helpful and full of local info.
The toilet and shower block was immaculate - even in the yuchy weather.
Sooooo chilled and relaxed but with all the local facilities.
Loved it, already booked for another visit this year :)
