Just returned from wyton lakes. I must say the reviews were spot on. We have never been on a site as quiet and friendly as this. Everything about the site says relax and enjoy. One tip if you plan to fish you will need to beef up your tackle because the fish are big and know where the reeds are. All in all we had a marvellous week and will definitely be returning.

Visited this camp as a last minuet decision as in the area. Ecellent location to nearby towns but set in a beautiful grassy shaded area right next to the river nene. The toilet/shower facilities nice and big and very clean, even have wsher machines, tumble dryer and hanging area.
Adults only and so peaceful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and went next door to the Marina where we paid £5 to use a mooring for our boat (bargain)
Highly recommend.

Lovely adults only site.
Facilities very clean. Showers were a set temperature, too hot for me, not hot enough for hubby. Maybe its because I an not very tall, but the water from the shower seemed to go around me in a circle rather than on me.
The views over the lake were beautiful although parking on the pitch was very regimented. 'park front on, to the right of the hard standing, pitch your awning to the left' this meant we could not see the lake view and could not converse easily with our neighbours (people we had gone with) as our entrances and awnings were on the same side, not opposite.
The fishing was excellent
The location was good, near a pub with cheap pub grub and opposite a garden centre with café and wi fi.
Nice walk along the river.
Would return

We went here because we fancied somewhere relaxing with no kids running around & as this was adult only it was spot on, What a lovely relaxing place, wardens are very helpful & are always on hand if you need anything.
Showers & toilet block were amaculate & very spacious, laundry & washing up facilities were well set out too, the pitches were very spacious, level & very clean & had water & electric services.
There is Recycling facilities & waste water disposal as well as a chemical disposal point.
There is a garden centre across the road with Costa coffee, butchers, pets accessories & more, & next door is a marina with a pub on site, we only had a drink so can't comment on the food there.
Will visit again soon.

Just returned from another weekend at Wyton. Site up to usual standard with the additional of music in the showers which is a nice touch. Wardens as always friendly and helpful. Did not fish this weekend. Enjoyed a excellent meal at The Three Horseshoes in Houghton on the Friday evening and on Sunday visited the Raptor Foundation at Woodhurst which is well worth a visit. Next time will try the busway to Cambridge.

Just back from this lovely site. Easy to find and easy to access. Toilets/showers very clean with a number of cubicles with toilet hand basin and shower in each, separate showers and toilets. Hubby spent the weekend fishing, only 10ft from the caravan. Over the 2 days only caught 3 fish although 1 was 15lb so he was happy. Site very clean and well kept. Will be going back.

Great weekend added to by the fact the weather was gorgeous. The site is all that the reviewers say it is. Peaceful (apart from yappy dogs, not sites fault), wildlife abounds and the setting for the pitches is perfect. We aren't into fishing but being there almost made us wish we were with your pitch backing onto a lake.
The greeting was friendly and warm and we found the owners to be that all weekend. The facilities are so clean and ample with lashings of hot water in the shower. We went over the road to the garden centre and it has other shops inside so good for browse. Unusually for us we didn't go anywhere else though just down the road are lots of restaurants from Frankie and Bennies to the usuals, a cinema and shops. We stayed on site ads the atmosphere was lovely and all the other campers said hello and chatted readily. Only down point is we had to clear the pitch of goose poo before putting the awning up but nothing can stop that as wild geese are wandering along all over the place. Took us a couple of plastic bags and a minute to do. Worth it for the site! We will go back there. Now in our Top 10!

Had another lovely weekend at Wyton Lakes.
Great site with well proportioned pitches not in rows and rows and lots and lots of grass area and even a stretch of the Great River Ouse on the site.
Really relaxed nice site with super clean loo's and the owners/wardens are very friendly and always willing to spend time telling you whats available locally.
Ideally situated between the functional Huntingdon and pretty market town of St Ives with a garden centre opposite that sells most things (including milk and bread!) and the bus route to the afor mentioned just outside the park.
Great stay, many thanks, we will be back :)

Our second visit to this site as it's one of our favourites.
Access and location are excellent and the approach is suitable for every type of unit.
The facilities are first class and always warm and clean.
Although not a fisherman, I can appreciate that the lakes and pitches around them must be heaven for those of a piscatorial bent.
As mentioned in other reviews there is an excellent garden centre across the road from the site which is more akin to a shopping mall - handy for the occasional emergency bottle of milk or loaf of bread as well as the morning paper.
The pub next to the marina offers a varied menu and the terrace overlooking the water is a great spot for an evening drink.
We used our bus passes to go to St. Ives and Cambridge. The guided bus to Cambridge is an almost unique experience and passes some beautiful lakes. Hopping on and off the bus (which runs every 15 minutes) allows one to visit the nature reserves.
Very highly recommended.

Our 1st trip of the year and back to this lovely site, arrived the Friday it opened, and already there were quite a few others before us. I only managed to fish for about 3 hours Friday, because Sat / Sun were a complete washout with some very strong gusts. The garden centre over the road is definitely worth a visit, with a butchers to die for. Not a lot to say that I already haven't in previous reviews
