What can I say. The site was tidy well laid out. Toilets clean and tidy. The fishing was rubish only caught 1 bream in 4 days. The wind never stopped blowing across the pond. Ive matched fished for over 40 years this was one of the hardest ponds ive fished. I wont bother going back. I was charged £5 for 45mins of fishing the wind stopped me what a rip off. The garden center across the road did a good breakfast well worth a visit. A good tackle shop in st ives

We thought we would give this site a try, and are very pleased we did. The site is very well kept, with the toilet / shower block being 1st class, clean, tidy, warm, and lots of hot water. The wardens are very friendly and helpful, and our plot was right by the lake with excellent fishing, but the only trouble was ( for me being a beginner ) the fish were so big they snapped my line. Still I will go well armed next time. We walked along to the Hartford Marina Pub, and had Lamb chops, but were more like lamb steaks, and were very very nice, Two mains, two deserts three pints a Pepsi and a coffee for only £34. If you do walk to it, halfway along the road, look out for a little footpath on the left that appears to lead to nowhere, go up there as it leads into the car park, and cuts off a longer walk up the road to double back to the pub.

Opposite the site is a big Garden centre, along with a farm shop to die for ( a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for ), A Cotton Traders, W. H. Smiths, Costa coffee, and a restaurant / café. Bus stops are down the road by the Marina, ( about 200 yards ) and go to Cambridge, St. Ives and Huntingdon. We will Definately go back to this site again, as the bonus is, it is an Adults only site.

We stayed here for a week. Easy access from a main road. Very warm welcome at reception. We were given a hard standing with a nice view of a lake/pond. Lots of men fishing around the large ponds. Very peaceful friendly campsite. This site shows up as fully serviced in symbols above but although there are water taps at pitches there is no drainage. Only one drain near reception and a long walk from most pitches with a heavy waste master. Toilets are heated and were always clean but a bit dated. Large showers with easy push buttons at set temperature. No shop on site but very close to a garden centre which sells groceries at a price? Large Tesco a couple of miles away includes a petrol station. The Fayre and Square restaurant, five minutes walk is very good with riverside views but avoid weekends when it gets packed. We drove through the local villages Wyton and Houghton but could not get parked does not seem much there except two pubs. The town of St Ives is ok with the usual town shops. It has a nice riverside/ bridge walk with boat trips at weekends. There is a cafe with river views but you would be very lucky to get a seat there. It was packed so we gave it a miss. Huntingdon is ok if you want shops an cafes.

Just spent a week at this fabulous adult only campsite. Not been for a few years and the changes that have been made are first class. The owners are brilliant and make you feel at home. Toilet/shower facilities are 5 star. Great to have washing machine on site. Fishing as always was excellent, my husband had a lot of double figure carp.

Good pub and garden centre nearby. Would like to see more recyling facilities, has card/paper and glass could do with plastic and tin.

But as always FIRST CLASS.

Just spent another 2 weekends at site, great as always.

Square Deal pub that burnt down has now been rebuild with at wacky factory for the children therefore very busy and noisy when we went for a drink, had to stand at bar as people waiting for tables to eat.

Went for a meal at the Three Horseshoes in Houghton, very nice food, pleasant surroundings and friendly staff. 2 main meals and 2 drinks £27. 00 so not too bad

Just had a wonderful two night stay at this site. Already looking forward to our next stay with our fishing rods. Thankyou for a lovely welcome on arrival to this superb site. All facilities were first class with no queue for the showers although the site was full. Such a quiet pretty site - with plenty to do & see close by. Pretty villages within walking distance & the river Ouse. I would highly recommend this site.

Just been back to Wyton Lakes Holiday Park again - love it there. So peaceful and you feel like you're in the middle of the countryside but there are loads of amenities close by.

We don't fish but half the people there just go there to chill and relax. Its great watching the wildlife on the lakes though.

Booked up again for Aug :)

Recently spent another 2 nights at this site. The new wardens were very helpful and friendly. Toilet block was its usual clean standard and we do like having the use of the super showers (loo, wash hand basin and shower all in together). I enjoy walking round the garden centre opposite whilst hubby fishes, or we both go for walks to nearby villages. Think the price £19. 00 is very good and like the fact we can usually get a late book out on Sundays at no extra cost.

It will not be long before we are back

Wyton Lakes is a fantastic adults only site!

It is well situated for many attractions and for visiting nearby towns and cities (notably Cambridge and St Ives).

Buses run from (virtually) the site gates and are very frequent. The 'guided bus' into Cambridge is an experience!

Nearby pubs serve excellent food.

There is a large Tesco nearby as well as B&Q.

The garden centre opposite is handy for the morning paper and emergency supplies - albeit a little expensive for groceries.

The site has all the usual facilities which are kept very clean and warm.

There are free hot showers, washing-up and laundry sinks. There is also a motorhome grey water disposal point.

It is very quiet and the birds never seemed to stop singing.

I am not a fisherman but, judging by the activity around the three lakes, there is much fun to be had if you do indulge.

There is also access to the river which runs alongside the site.

The site managers are very friendly and helpful and there is a well stocked tourist information area.

All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend this site

Booked a pitch by 'phone for four nights only to find on arrival that this pitch had been allocated to someone else on the fourth night. No problem, the very helpful lady warden gave us a similar pitch just around the corner. This is a beautifully peaceful site with two fishing lakes around which the pitches are set. Facilities are everything one could expect - clean and well kept although rubbish bins could have been better sited for instance - hidden by a fence or hedge. Hard standing for most caravans leaves plenty of space for the car and an awning. A few yards across the road, there's a bus to Cambridge every fifteen minutes making this an ideal location for motorhomers. At £19 per night, it was good value and we've often paid much more for much less. We've logged this as one of our favourites hoping to return in the near future.
