1st time at this site, wont be the last. It's adults only & lovely & quiet. We had already been given our pitch number but was asked if we wanted a lake pitch, we didn't as we wernt fishing.

The pitch we had L8 was on a slight slope but once we had backed further on the pitch it was flat. We had a good view of the lake in front of us.

There was plenty of room for car/caravan & awning + grass area to the side & back to sit out on. There are some seasonal vans on site & the owners live in a house on site.

We had our own water tap but you still had to take your waste water nr toilet block.

There was 3 showers with toilet & sinks in as well as 2 more showers only as well as additional sinks & toilets.

There is a road just outside the site but you could hardly hear it & depending on how far in you are you might not at all.

There was at least 3 maybe 4 fishing lakes, a small walk to the river although you only had a small frontage to the river, then the walk carried on back into the site.

The site was next to Hartford Marina where there is a pub selling meals too. The bus stop to St Ive's then onto Cambridge is over the road to your left outside the lovely thatched cottage, or outside the Marina going to Peterborough.

Also over the road is a garden centre, inside is a small food shop for stocking up. About 4 miles away is a Tesco Supermarket.

The villages of Wyton/Houghton about 2 miles away has many beautiful thatched houses & Houghton Mill (NT) is also there where you can hire boats or take a walk along the canal. We really enjoyed our stay & is easy to get there from the North.

Very warm welcome to the site. Beautifully set out around the lakes with very substantial pitches. The facilities were immaculate and we loved the idea of the music piped through the bathrooms …. Made us all comment how cool that was!

Ideally located for many interesting venues in the area, just disappointed there were no footpaths leading from the site other than through the main entrance.

As a person who is disabled, I found the bathroom needed some simple but much needed alterations for both comfort and safety.

There was a safety rail / bar beside the toilet but it felt quite vulnerable at the other end ( right angled) coming out of the shower and difficulty in reaching for my towel. As I cannot stand for more than a minute or so independently and felt they should install a second grab rail there too. Also, the seat attached to the wall was way too high and I was unable to use it o sit on to get dressed!

The hand dryer is also too high -but aren’t they always ! A simple chair to sit on to get dressed please ?

However, we had a lovely few days and would return and definitely recommend it to others !

We had a last minute booking at 16. 57 over the phone. The office closed at 17. 00. We arrived at 17. 30, it was no trouble at all for the owner with a warm welcome, paid cash on arrival.

It was a hard standing/ gravel pitch with electric hookup and a water tap. The pitch was very level with amazing views of the lakes and wildlife.

The site was very peaceful and quiet, adults only, £26/ night. Good heated facilities, clean, hand driers, hairdryer, smelt nice, with cleaning equipment to hand ( mop/ bucket, brush, dustpan, ironing board, washer/ dryers, clothes lines, waste disposal, it was a nice touch to have the radio playing in the facilities etc

Good walks, dog friendly, lovely area, convenient for shops- opposite Dobbies garden center, next to marina, pubs nearby. It’s a shame we forgot our fishing rods.

We would definitely recommend and visit again.

I love this site. I mainly choose it as it's near family and I can catch up.

But it's a really good site with plenty of room and a lovely river bank.

Turn left out of the site and there's 2 pubs and a shop a mile away and walks along the river bank to Huntingdon.

Turn right and again 2 pubs and a shop less than a mile. Houghton mill is there and a walk to St Ives following the river.

Can't beat it!
