Lovely quiet site, all you could hear were the birds singing, wardens were friendly & helpful, good facilities the showers are a good size & as with the toilets nicely heated.
There is a very nice pub 300yrds down the road which is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for, you have to walk on the road but it was quite quiet when we were there. We will definitely go back.

We have just come back from this site. The wardens are very helpful they even come to make sure you can back your outfit on the pitch. We had a hard standing service pitch which includes water waste and tv connections for £21 per night. With my husband disabled we found the price very reasonable and we will be back next year. Our pitch was fantastic the views were great of the hills around, me and my husband use to count the cows or sheep. The supermarket like Tesco was about 10 miles away but the next village there was a fish and chips and a small supermarket. The Pub is about a 10 mins walk from site. This was our first time down this way we travel 270 miles but the site was fantastic and we will be back next year.

This is a very well run and friendly site. The site caters mainly for caravans but has some grass areas set around the side for tents. Electric hookup is available as is a TV connection.
The facilities are located in a large barn and are excellent - well maintained and clean with everything you could wish for including washing machine, tumble drier, freezer, pay phone (vital as there is zero mobile phone coverage in the area).
There is a nice array of local shops within a 5 minute drive from the site and the pub 2 minutes walk down the road has well kept beer and superb food.
Taunton is only a short drive away and there is easy access to the motorway.
One word of caution - get directions from the campsite before visiting if you rely on your sat nav be prepared for roads that are single track at best!

Just returned from a weekend break at Waterrow Park, we arrived to a warm welcome and was escorted to our pitch and made to feel very welcome. The facilities there were exceptional - very clean, tidy and the additional features such as woodland walks made it appealing to us as dog owners as just as much attention was paid to facilities for the dog as us. This was a tranquil adults only location which was second to none - just what we were looking for. We would recommend this to others and gladly return ourselves.
The only feedback would be that the shop only stocks exchange gas cylinders and as campers this proved difficult as we required the smaller 220gm ones. The local garage which we were referred to was out of stock and it took some time to find an alternative which turned out to be Wivey Hardware. This is an excellent find. They sell almost anything.
We had a lovely weekend and would return any time.

Visited this site over the August Bank Holiday weekend. The site was well kept and very peaceful. The facilities were kept clean and well maintained throughout the day.
Although we had a lovely couple of days, we did feel that the site was quite over priced. In fact, it was the most expensive site we have stayed on at £25.00 per night. Also, we had to pay for WIFI connectivity (which was advertised on their website and was a requirement of ours), but it was completely pointless. Either the distance between our pitch and the WIFI hub, or the tal trees around the site meant that the connection dropped every few minutes. Very frustrating.
The site is located in a beautiful location, which we could not fault, with level pitches and lovely scenery. The local village is 3 miles away and has a couple of shops which sell essentials. For a more thorough shop, head to Taunton where there is a big ASDA.
We enjoyed this site and would probably return.

We received a warm welcome onto this fabulous site. There's a superb toilet/amenities block hidden in a barn! It is handy for getting out and about exploring the area. Although off quite a busy road, because the site is lower than the road, you don't get a lot of road noise. Sadly, yet again, the tent area is the furthest from the amenities block. Also it is on the lowest point of the site and doesn't drain brilliantly, having said that, we were there for a week and it did rain everyday at some point.

We have just returned from a visit to this site. The site is situated on the outskirts of Waterrow and is quite easy to find. (Please read the website for the easiest directions as GPS systems will take you via country lanes - quite dangerous for big vans)
The site is relatively flat although the camping area has a slight slope towards the river. It is well maintained and each pitch is well defined and spacious. With the site being adult only this enhances the peacefulness of the site.
The amenities are at one end of the site and if you are pitched at the other end you have a walk to get to them. (OK if weather is fine) The facilities are very good and cleaned on a daily basis. In addition to the basics toilets and showers the facilities include laundry, shop (Meat from local butcher) and freezer block facilities.
The site team are very friendly and always their to help. They have got a very good information board which is kept upto date with local latest information.
There are many walks from the site and the village does have a pub which serves food. (Food very expensive)
The nearest town for shopping is Wivelscombe(3 miles) and this has a Co-op and Spar otherwise for bigger supermarkets you will have to travel to Taunton. (About 10 miles)
Overall we were impressed with the site and the area and would return again.

We have just returned home from a lovely 14 day break at Waterrow
What a lovely place, all the facilities are kept clean to the highest standard, there are ample toilets/showers with endless hot water, one washing machine and tumble dryer (best tumble dryer I have used 60p and it will dry the towels bone dry)
There is a clothes washing sink, washing up, and food prep sinks, there is a small freezer where you can put your ice blocks.
All this is housed in an enormous barn (with its own resident swifts!)
The outlook from our unit was great we had the hills and the trees etc, lovely in the early morning mist.
The hedges, trees/flowers made this site feel spacious and private.
There is a river that runs along the edge of the site which has really interesting walks along it ranging from 1 mile to 7 miles in distance, the site supplies you with a map of the various walks with interesting descriptions of how to walk them.
You may even see the Kingfishers.
The Hard standing with full amenities that we had was of an ample size for our folding camper, and were nice and level.
The wardens and owners really do make an effort to keep this site as nice as possible for their guests, always helpful and ready with a smile.
The small village/town of Wiveliscombe (know as wivvy) is a lovely friendly place,it has all the essentials, food shops /petrol station that you would need if you don't want to go too far to get your shopping, it has a Co-op,and a Spar, the Co-op which stays open till 10pm has a non charging cash machine, this came in useful because the local bank only opens a few days a week.
There is an excellent butchers called Thornes which we used often.
But if you can't be bothered to cook there is a Chinese takeaway,a fish & chip shop and an excellent Curry house if you want to have a meal out. Also a little shop called Carousel Pig that is jam packed with interesting stuff ie-jewellery candles etc etc I can't praise it highly enough.
There are also several pubs and a cafe that does a lovely full English breakfast etc.
A short walk from the site is the 'Rock Inn' we only visited this once but it serves excellent food-but at a price, a bit of a treat but worth a visit.
We visited various places, Taunton, Tiverton,The Chatworthy reservoir in the Brendon Hills on the edge of beautiful Exmoor and many more, we also ventured down every little country lane that our Tom-tom took us! some were a bit hairy! but great!
There are plenty of places to interest you, or just stay at the site and read/do nothing, very peaceful place.
I highly recommend this site and I hope to return sometime in the future.

A lovely peaceful break,we loved it, the dog loved it, the pub down the road did wonderful food (just a touch pricey). Walking along the river/stream on a morning and evening was a joy (keep an eye out for the kingfisher) All in all a wonderful holiday site. The walks from the campsite were nice and the guide booklet available from the site office was helpful.

A lovely place if you are looking for a more natural style of well planted and landscaped site. The walks along the river are truly idyllic and in May when we were there the wildflowers were wonderful.
A very friendly welcome and the site, although in a very rural, even remote area, is easily accessible. Tent campers have their own nice little grassy area. A good base for exploring Exmoor and around. Definitely a site we would return to.
