We have stayed here a couple of times, the last being May 2002.It used to be a sloping field with one toilet! The present owners took over about 4 years ago, (I think). The site is now very well laid out with level pitches, and lots of shrubs and flowers.
Adults only.
Toilets were clean but in 2002 were still just porta cabin type as were the showers. Might have upgraded them by now.
We were put on an area by a log shed--no proper pitch, although we still had to pay the same price. £1 each for the dogs which is average, but the dog walk area was disgusting. I know this is not the site owners fault, its up to the dog owners to pick up the poo, but you really have to watch were you are putting your feet!
Maybe if the area was mown it might help.
Also a charge of £1 for use of booster for TV, as there is nothing else on the site I think.
Great pub down the road, (take a torch if you're walking as it's a busy road with no footpath) with excellent food but there was talk of a change of hands last year.
Nice walks in the area. We think it is overpriced for what you get and that is why we haven't been back.
